Ahh yay, i’m glad to hear you find it helpful!! That’s what I was hoping for. Oh my gosh, i’m so excited for you!! Where you heading?? I’m definitely going to try to go back to Iceland in the winter at some point to experience the difference in seasons!!
Was the Iceland Air plane maybe a bit smaller and that's why they needed to check luggage? Also you should be able to choose your seat prior to check in, just ask for the booking reference for your flight and you can then choose meals, seats, upgrades etc.
Yes the iceland air plane was definitely smaller & i didnt check their luggage size prior so that definitely was my mistake. I assumed since my luggage was the usual carry on size it’d be fine but didn’t really think i’d encounter such a small plane. As for the seat selection, since EF booked my flights & it wasn’t done directly through Iceland Air there was an issue with the booking reference that wouldn’t allow me to make selections prior. I had to check in & do everything at the actual airport. Believe me, i usually make all those selections as soon as i get my flight info from EF but for this trip, it didn’t let me. I even tried calling the airline directly. For meals though, they don’t offer free ones, which was my point since for all other international flights I’ve gone on there’s usually at least one meal included. For iceland air everything was an additional charge.
@@jackiesjourneys I'm still watching the video, sounds like a rough journey to Iceland. I'd have been freaking out being type A personality wanting all the details 🤣
i feel that 100%. I’m the same way lol for mu upcoming Spain trip i feel like i’ve looked up every single possible detail! The trip there wasn’t completely terrible, it could have been better if i had done more research & been more prepared for sure!
ugh yeah, waiting for communication made me so anxious but Iceland is such a straight forward & quick trip so that may be why the tour directors wait so long. You’ll have a great time!! So excited for you!

Ooo good question - i don’t remember exactly. Probably $65 in the krona equivalent i believe? I usually just read the “know before you go” guide on the EF Website/app & tip the recommended amount! Unless i have extra cash left over at the end of the trip then I just tip extra bc the directors are usually amazing.

Were there any people in your group who didn’t go out to the bars at night? If so, what did they do?
yes there were! Not sure what they did though. My roommate in iceland just went to bed early since most mornings were early wake up times
im 12 days out and they are barely now sending out communication😢
