Just a quick explanation here folks: The girl feels "elated" because her sin is too small compared to what those people did. She is elated because people like them existing give her hope that she will join her family in heaven. At least, this is how i see it.
I think its more of mistranslation "Doki Doki" from what i remember is 'sound of heart beating' So basically she mean that she so scared of their actions that she can hear her own heartbeat like the time she stole that ring, which she was so scared of being caught that she can hear her heartbeat
For those that didn’t understand: the priest saw Christ in Thor’s. That’s why he was so interested in Thor’s perception of love. He understood the meaning of life.
I don't understand why some of them are mad because they killed them, what did they think Askeladd's crew has been doing the whole time? Are we even watching the same anime? lmao
Askeladd’s crew is terrible but probably seeing it from this point of view is why they were caught off guard but yeah Askelad’s crew have been doing this since they were first introduced in the anime
@@semionjohnson1351 True, this time they didnt even rape and actually executed them "cleanly"... People just hasnt been REALLY thinking about what they've been doing all along, I guess.
I get it yknow, what happens off screen is an afterthought sure its implied and even stated they do this all the time but its always gonna be different when its this intimate. Its like when you hear about a shooting its kind of just like "damn thats awful" as opposed to the swathe of emotions you would be feeling actually seeing or being in the shooting.
@@Garvant_ oh yeah, totally. i was a bit peeved by the commentary that the guy on the top left was doing, so i just wrote it like that haha. I can understand how this can happen to some people, I just thought that it was a bit weird to happen with this anime, since we're being shown destruction and cruelty in almost every episode, unlike in other series where they censor most of the stuff.
The priest had a catharsis. There was someone that through his actions showed an understanding of the value of life, and it was a real person, not just some vague ideal that you chase. It's something that helped him deepen his faith.
I'm sorry for rarely uploading, I'm just trying something to reduce noise, although there is still a little noise, at least it can reduce even when they talk together.. What do you think?
That village wouldn't have survived the winter anyways. they would have slowly starved to death. Still doesn't change the fact that Askeladd has killed other villages for less.
@@leonhart7779 Why? The literal point of this show (aside from choosing non-violence) is that god and religion will not save you. It’s an escape for people of those times who suffered daily through some of the worst famine/poverty/violence. Death was their only escape. It took Canute rejecting God and his “salvation” to declare that he would change the world so that we could be happy here. Not wait to die and maybe go to some “heaven.” It’s sad you believe your sky fairy is the only one that can bring you hope/happiness/peace. Since apparently you yourself cannot find the strength inside yourself to push yourself towards those things while you’re alive…

Yeah I can concur with that.
Yup I agree, i figured it on my third watch through
ohh i see. that makes a lot of sense. always found this scene a little confusing at first.

Finally someone figured out the message

It's justified to be honest. What they did is cruel and gruesome, it's difficult to get used to it, no matter how much we see it

The number of non-religious people is increasing and the number of Christians is decreasing all over the world.
This is sad...
