What about the fog on the floor? 😮😊That gave it so much dimension. How’d you do that part?

Sorry I thought about including that, but not all explosions have giant nuclear shockwaves so I kept the tut to like just fire compositing - but here’s what I did 3d, I tracked the scene and used some dust shockwaves from Action Vfx!! I used tint to match its white and black levels to the scene - gave it a drop shadow
And I used an adjustment layer - over my main clip and under the shockwave layer - and added a curves effect and made it dark and keyframed it to follow shockwave - those overtime the dust is hiding the explosion and making everything darker
