At least you got the sleeve out. I usually use a 1 1/8 socket and the giant C clamp to press the new lower strut bushing when I still have the knuckle on the car. Hopefully that slit you made doesn't crack through.
Not trying to be that guy but pepboy rents the tool to install the bushings. Hope the fan works. Mine was over heating after a few pulls. So will have to upgrade my cooling system soon. But it's coming along. Should be driving soon.
