Were the horses out near Maybell? Enjoy hearing these types of stories. The worst thing that ever happened to me was breaking down at the top of Logan Pass in Glacier. I had to stay the night in my Xterra. I got some great shots of some big horns the next morning and a few bear encounters riding into town with the tow truck driver.
The top of Logan Pass...not a bad place to spend the night. 😁 It's a bonus when you can get images while being broke down.
