Don't get in the habit of ripping stuff from google images kids, the little bit of extra convenience isn't worth it. There are plenty of resources out there that are CC0 or some other permissive license. Otherwise a really nice tutorial, and a clever hook for a video :P
Yeah licensing towards all of the images is very important. I didn't realize that when making the video, thanks for pointing that out. Thanks for watching! :D
@@PlugWorld I did it myself all the time, telling myself it's just a placeholder and stuff, but you forget it and/or don't remember what was, and wasn't allowed to use. So I've learned that it's best to just get in the habit of always taking the little extra time to search for resources on sites with licensed art.
@@Lordecai I don't know tbh. I'm not a lawyer, and this is definitely not legal advice :D It's just simply illegal to use other peoples works. But if you think about it for a bit you can probably come up with some idea of what could possibly happen. First you obviously need to be caught at all, which isn't always very likely, but dependent on the time you get caught can be more or less problematic I imagine. Let's say you made a game with a stolen image in it and it suddenly becomes very popular, now your chance of getting caught increased a lot, even though you probably aren't even aware of it since you forgot about the image, it was just an honest mistake. If the original creator finds out about it he can probably ask for compensation retroactively. He can probably ask for the image to get removed. He can probably ask for both. If it's later in the life cycle of a game you might no longer have access to the source which makes taking down the game entirely the best option. Maybe you made merchandise that contains that image. Maybe people made videos about the game and the original creator has now the legal right to request take downs of these videos, hurting your reputation as a developer etc. etc. ... this is probably all highly unlikely, but why face that risk if there are such simple alternatives.
Well, these are not physics, just particles. But, however that was a lot better than cyberpunk, and very impresive cause you made it in less than 3 minutes
It's a shader, you can view shader code and the 3D renderer at the same time so you can see shader changes. If you want to do this with normal code, you would have to use an external editor and tile the windows.
At this point, I seriously feel if cyberpunk was worth the efforts they put into it. I miss old days when games were short but intriguing, stories were simple but immersive, and game were developed as an example of coding perfection.
Hehe it is good that you mention this, honestly for me it is something embarrassing to see, that Cyberpunk, is at the highest level, and don't add details like those that I know that many players appreciate, a long time ago I saw a video that show a comparison between GTA vs Cyberpunk, and there are quite a few details that they ignored. And you have shown that even an independent developer could do it, thanks friend, I have subscribed, it's nice to meet developers like you
but honestly whats the point. yeah it can be done, its basics, it has been done many times before. they didnt include some basics and its weird, but ultimately not surprising when you consider how development was for them. they had to fumble something together and if shit hits the fan you focus on the things that the player will engage with the most, and it certainly is not the water since water and swimming only ever comes up in one quest and there is no combat in that quest.
@@FirebladeXXL Yes, you are right, they focused on what is really important, those details like this can be ignored, personally seeing things like this in a game does not bother me, but there is a group of players, who do care about those details. The most important thing in a game will always be the story and the game mechanics
so it's not in 3 minutes because it's sped up, with stolen copyrighted images, not in REDEngine (that was used with cyberpunk, meaning you don't have the same limitations as them), meaning the comparison is a total bullshit. Good job!

While it's true, in a situation when it's a transformative work it's a pass but it's close to a gray area.
the editing is crazy mad respect. I know how much time something like this can take
took 3 mins
@@forapply4583 how do you know
The way you did the water is so simple and straight to the point. Like, the shader has basically 1 line, which moves the texture. Mindblown.
Actually an awesome video, would love to see more stuff like this :)
Hey thanks! I got some more stuff in the works right now :D
T-They didn't have time to add that in, t-they were too busy!
It works but only the gun was in the water. Help me!
Wow, this is incredible and you have some mad skills! You should consider doing a tutorial on this. Well done.
alternate title: remaking source engine water physics
I guess the 9 people who disliked this work on CyberPunk 2077
lmao, "work"
12
CD red should hire you man even after 1.2 update on cyberpunk still no water physic.
Did you see the new update that broke water period after receiving a phonecall? lmao Like water froze still.
Beautiful dude, great job!
I’m most amazed about how you got godot 3D to look so good
The 3D in Godot is really nice. Really great for small 3D scenes out of the box
Imagine ONE person doing a better work than a whole company…
nice video and cool idea for it :D
Who's here after next gen patch
Imagine making something better than 100 people in 10 years couldn't do, imagine
The problem is optimization. To make a game a reasonable download size some corners have to be cut
That's really cool :D
Thanks!! I've been looking at some of your FPS stuff, looking really awesome as well! 👍👍
dude you are MASTER
hahaha cool tutorial, i like your content like this
Really nice and easy. Good tutorial, i like it :)
Amazing work, but that pistol design makes my brain hurt
dude thats awsom, keep doing it cose you are great

can you do a tutorial how to make water flow pls?
Damn that is awesome! Doing something in 3 minutes, that a big studio couldn't
you got some editing skills pal
Simple and clear, thanks
Great work... 👍
haha nice ;D
haha water physics go brrr
cool!i like this one !
“We’re gonna…”
next gen patch's water physics is better than your demo
Indeed
glad to hear
You sound like Steve-O if he didn't have a broken larynx
nice stuff :D
Cyberpunk want you to work on water physical in their game 😆
cyberpunk can spend 3 minutes on this
How the hell did you manage to make a game with these physics on the Godot engine !!
how did u right the code while in 3d mide is on?

@@PlugWorld thx
🔥🔥🔥🔥 no pun intended
Wow that cyberpunk water looks really ugly, and yours it's much more alive well done!
now make it like cs2
very cul
that cul
man that shows that cyberpunk looks crazy with graphics but physics and bugs are really shit they just waated time on graphics
Which game engine??
This was made using the Godot Engine

it's almost as if fixing the bugs in the game is more important than making splashes and stealing textures off google😱
