Benjamin Bratt Talks Fathers, Mothers And First Nations Culture

In Benjamin Bratt's latest film, 'The Lesser Blessed', which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, he plays a father figure to a young man who is going through a difficult time. Benjamin tells George about his character in the film, his feeling on being a father (and a son), the reality for First Nations people, and his memories of his mother.

People need to understand his mom is native american, but not from U.S or Canada she is from peru. Just like most so called latino we have Native american blood hence are beautiful brown skin. Thats y he plays latino roles because latino are either native american or part native american.

His mom is Peruvian and his dad is American of European descent. I know a Peruvian who also has Bosnia in them, they both kind of look alike.
