I have loved listening to and watching this woman for 20 years. She still entrances me.
I am so fascinated with her, she really is an inspiration in terms of how down to earth she is as an individual.
I love you Janeane..your HONESTY is admirable!

She admits she talks to herself, which is something I do when I'm stressed out. I have so much sympathy and respect for her.
See, the problem is too many people commenting on her physical look than what she has to actually SAY. This is the problem with a misogynistic world.

I know lots of women who will talk a LOT about looks of actors or even actresses. So those women are being misogynistic? Or shallow?

I've always thought that Janeane was one of the best things in Reality Bites. Her character rang true to me, after all who doesn't know a young woman who doesn't have the most flattering haircut, has ample flesh and sleeps around to give herself a self-esteem boost? The whole Hollywood obsession with thinness is ludicrous!! There are/were many young women of Janeane's size out there and they are sexually active! Despite what she may say, I think she got the character right!
My complaint is that those women never wore tshirts-"need a self esteem boost". Sleeping around but you could never tell which ones needed 'the boost'! Hollywood is the western arm of madison avenue, both of which are designed to make people unhappy with themselves. How hilarious was the movie 'truth about cats and dogs' as they tried to pass off uma thurman as the hot one!
She’s a legend! Always will be. So funny & honest. Always authentic. I adore her. Wish we saw more of her lately.
people may not understand this, but she's a barometer of how much better the 90's were in which she thrived, compared to the post-2000's, with 9/11, George Bush, the worst politics, Trump, etc..,
she did change her story about her hair in Reality Bites... I happened to recently see a video of her from the 90's, I think, where she said the director forced her to cut her hair that way, she said she knew it would look bad and protested, but they absolutely insisted and that's why she had to do it

I love her so much. I want her in major movies. She wasn't old when it comes to acting. Jordan Peele should have her in a major role. Or some other producer; not some throwaway thing like a therapist in two scenes of a romcom. AND SHE HAS RANGE. I'd die to see her being a perky, spunky, love interest or protag. Stop tossin the good jobs to just Sandra Bullock.
For real---I've always liked her and her dark, straight-forward sardonic blunt sense of humor---seemed like she disappeared for awhile from movies especially--nice to see she's still her same old self-depreciating sardonic self---now I'll have to check out Late For Dinner! Shw was also in another good little-known indie flick called Clay Pigeons, where she's really as an FBI agent trying to solve a murder.
