Because he cleared out his whole division in their backyards and went up and arguably (in well over 50% of the communites eyes) won, for Islam to match that, he would need to run through the whole lightweight division, every single contender, beat Oliveira 3 times in a row(2 of them times being in Brazil) and then go up and put on a similar performance against the most dangerous fighter at welterweight (Probably Usman) but he hasn't, he has only beat one top tier guy at lightweight once. You don't just take the p4p cause you beat the p4p, it's about your resume' and Islams resume' is beating Oliveira on home ground and that's it
At the end of the day he shouldve gotten the win from the judges , he went up and did everything they said he couldn't and proved he was pound for pound a better fighter
