Tentacle Sync Track E and Sync systems have been my number one biggest recommendation for multiple camera shoots with multiple audio sources or not. I use them for all my productions and will always have them to make my edits 100 times easier. I have been successfully using them with everything from GoPro to DSLRs to the Panasonic 4K ENG camera I own. I love them 100% and use them every week of my life on my fishing UA-cam channel now.
Great Video. Bro I know this is a year old video, but you mentioned 4 hours battery life. Can you start and stop these from the app ? I shoot weddings and I just leave Tascam DR-10Ls on talent, I love the concept of these and my concern would be batteries going low at some point of the day as I use the Tascams all day
No it is not :-) I use the Tasacm DR10L. With a saftey Track and the digital limiter, you don`t run into issues. I also use the Instamic, wich works very fine with my Tentacles. Also no issues because of the saftey Track. I pick one of the first produced Track Es and i am very happy with it. But it doesn`t really change the whole game. Kind Regards
Question: the Wireless go aren´t giving any RF or other type of interferences in the tentacle track E, making noises? And if I have two tentacle track E and two wireless go, can I pair them into my zoom H6 recorder and monitor it using my headphones through the H6?
I’m not sure you explained how the time sync works and how you sync it up with the video in post. Does the receiver plug into the camera? What if you record 100 short clips in the day, does it automatically sync up or do you do it manually.
If i hve a tentacle sync time code in my zoom f4, can i activate record of the track e froom the audio recorder since timecode is synced? Or do i always have to hit record button from app?
@@damiencooper i use tentacle syn time code on my red. I like the idea of this just plugging in and it syncing. But having to only be able to hit record button with app might suck :/
Waiting to see an update on the fully speced M1 Macbook model for productivity. Really enjoyed that video so I hope you would give an update on how much it improves
Thinking this could be great for inexperienced podcast guests: o Professional quality audio recorded directly, without the need for additional devices, software or apps. o Quick and simple set up and operation without the need for sound checks. o Audio levels can be corrected in post without introducing noise or clipping. o The included microphone can be attached to the outside of clothing to minimise the risk of fabric rustling noises (which can’t be corrected in post-editing). o Compact unit for shipping out and receiving back after recordings. What do you think?
@@damiencooper Agreed! These thoughts were for remote guests who don't have podcasting experience... For studio and hosting I have the Electro-Voice RE320 Dynamic mike
Game changer for sure. The wireless interference with new 4G and 5G frequencies gets worse and worse. Just throw away the mic and get a dpa 6060 or cos-11 :) You can still use the wireless on the output for monitoring but not for recording. (at least in non US countries)
Trust an unmonitored audio track?.... no, thank you, I already had a religion once!!! LOL.... Looks appealing, what do you thinks it's the advantage vs a zoom with a lavalier on the subject pocket? Greetings from México.
despite the quite flexible 32bit float audio there are some good reasons to monitor audio. Cable rustle, wind, lost tape, drained battery etc.. If you manage to get a non US version which has output during recording you can still use the wireless in addition for monitoring. Works great.
Do you think this is a game changer or not?
Yes see below...
Most definitely. Gonna get one of these and a starter kit of the sync e. Game changer for event and documentary shoots! 😊
Just got mine today 😁 it was super cool testing out the 32-Bit float and intentionally trying to talk loud and seeing the waveform come back in post

Ahhh way too many game changers lol
Can I use the track e without the sync E and still time code and sync with my dslr camera? Thanks for the video
Take a shot for every 🥃 Game Changer 👍
Why the wireless transmitter is not built into the recorder?
Great video. I am worrying what to buy for wireless mic. Also can you make a video about affordable soft-box and lights. Thank youuuuu.
Will do soon!
dpa 4060 / 6060, sanken COS-11 depending on your flavor and budget.
this is a bit a strange questions mr cooper but i shoot solo and just wonder what is your typical set up
watch my full gear tour video I mad two months ago ;)

It's a 10-hour battery life, and it has a quick-charge feature if that's not long enough.
Would love to see how these lavs are synced up in final cut with the video. I'm sure I can find a vid about this somewhere
Can I use my track E as a Timecode on my camera audio file? like using a sync E device but using Track E. thanks

Did you watch my Timecode video? It’s linked in that video too. I explain everything in detail there 😉
I have a client who loves to talk very loud will the tentacle track e prevent clipping?
Yes. Unless he screams into the microphone 😀

App of the track E recorder. F4 won’t work

@@oakwoodcinematics934 you can hit record on the device itself. But since this is on another person I think the app is more convenient

Mit looking too good though 😉
Thank you for your opinion I was confuse which kind of microphone I should buy now I set my mind thank you for this

Generally agreed. But with podcasts I’d usually go with a dynamic right in Front of the People. Much better audio quality

They've since added blu tooth monitoring in a firmware update.
