I loved your video! My first trip to the redwoods was similar to yours. I took a detour driving home to Portland from visiting family in Sacramento and stopped at the Humboldt State Redwoods visitor center in the Avenue of the Giants and explored Gould Grove for about an hour before I had to get back on the road. I had never felt that kind of peace and tranquility in my life! This was in 2022 and since then I've been back to the area 6 times. I've hiked several trails in 3 different parks in the region and every time I leave, I can't wait to come back. I hope you can come back in the future and visit more trails and parks. Gould trail is lovely but there are some older groves with even more spectacular trees that you can see very close to the road. I am not a photographer but I've taken hundreds if not thousands of pictures of the different way light filters through the trees and the contrasting vegetation. If you go back, my top recommendation is Drury-Cheney trail. The ground cover in combination with the ferns and towering trees really makes you feel like you are in an enchanted forest. Next to that trail is Grieg-French-Bell Grove Loop which is even more magical but there are a lot of paths that splinter off the main one so it can get a little confusing. That being said, I've never been on a redwood hike that I didn't like :) Thanks for sharing your trip!

I’m so happy you enjoyed the video! I’m always the way from Miami where we see palm trees, so exploring the red wood forest was a brand new experience for me. If I had more time I would have made a trip to Portland, maybe next time I’ll start and Portland and then journey back to the parks to explore more trails… Thank you so much for watching my video and sharing your travel journey. I hope you can enjoy more of my adventure episodes on this channel 📍
