Louise! What are you doing to me?! This is what I would call crack popcorn! I can't stop eating it! It came out perfectly! I didn't have any nuts... but I love sweet and salty, so I sprinkled some sea salt over the popcorn while the caramel was still soft and I've got a perfect sweet and salty treat! Thank you so much for your genius ideas!
I made the caramel corn this evening. It turned out great! My grandson and husband were helping me spread out the caramel corn and as soon as some started to cool they started eating it! I doubled the recipe. It is yummy! Thanks!
This was a fantastic success. Since becoming vegan 10 years ago I’ve always missed Butterkist popcorn (uk here), because of the inclusion of butter in the recipe. I substituted the butter with a plant based spread and it turned out perfectly! The only thing I would change is using grease proof paper to cool rather than a rack because it was difficult to get the popcorn off after it had cooled. Thank you for posting this. XX
That's wonderful! I wonder if my cooling rack is made from a different material because it didn't stick to mine. Great idea for using parchment though!
Over 30 years ago I made caramel popcorn all the time. Of course, at the time I used microwave popcorn, the stove and the oven. It was wonderful, I also added peanuts (or even honey roasted peanuts). Almost always turned out perfect. I'll be anxious to try this in my (not a Ninja Foodi, but a Crock Pot Express).
Well because of you and your excellent presentations, I have sold one of my children to purchase an 8 quart foodie. It arrives Monday next, and I will get started cooking. By the way, I wish I had your SPACE to cook in. John
I feel ya of not enough cooking space. My kids built me a big farm table so now sit a little easier. Enjoy the foodie as well as the salted pepper recipes. She’s great
Oh and if you like pumpkin as I luv it try the pumpkin custard cups recipe. Omg ate em all lol had to make another batch for the fam. Told the first batch didn’t turn out after I realized I ate em all lol. So good
Thank you so much for this recipe. In testing the finished product, which is half gone now, my husband and I give this 5 ⭐️. It is sooooo good, if I took it to the movies, we would eat it all ourselves. Next time cashews will be added. My nut of choice too. You do wonderful work Louise and Jeff. Thanks again for all you do.
That’s funny! My dogs love it when the popcorn flies and hits the floor. They scramble to eat it! You may have inspired a new birthday party (dog or kid) trend! Let it fly! 🤣
Put popcorn in a bowl, I use a microwave splatter cover, shake and kernels fall to the bottom remove popped corn from the top and you're good to go! I enjoy your youtube page, thanks!
Thank you for this. I'm planning to start a popcorn business very soon, and I'm figuring out my recipes. This was very informative. Thank you for the high quality video!
I just love your channel. You give me some great ideas for recipes. Most importantly, you give me the confidence to try different things in my Ninja Foodi. Thank you so much. Keep up the great work.
I love caramel popcorn but this is a lot cheaper than the stores or the pictures. It'd be great making this to take to the pictures. Cheers teacher Louise for another brilliant video.
I just made this with microwaved bagged popcorn and it took me less than 15 minutes from start to finish, including cleanup, and now I've got some caramel corn that tasted almost exactly like the stuff we usually get from the Boy Scouts. A+++++++
Omg this is soooooooo good also tried your cauliflower potatoe salad., and I love it new to your channel and I am subscribed. I will be buying a ninja foodie soon!
made some the other day. forgot the baking soda and vanilla. still not bad. also substituted honey for corn syrup because i never seem to have corn syrup.
Hello Louise your recipes have really got me out of binds in emergencies especially now that we had an accident with the stove oven (it caught fire how? I don't know fortunately we weren't home so we are fine lolz) i do have a request if you could do you think you could make Fried Oreos?
I've made my popcorn in a Whirly-Pop for many many years, until I got an induction cooktop, the WP did not work anymore with it, so I sold it. I went through the thrift stores of my town and got for $5 a like-new, clean RIVAL hot-air popcorn maker, (orig. distributed by Walmart), it even has a switch. I was just blown away how quiet it is, and within **3 1/2 minutes** (!!!) I have a big bowl of popcorn, hardly any un-popped kernels left. Pouring a few slight squirts oil over it, some salt and nutritional yeast. O.M.G..... What would bother me with the Instant Pot or Ninja Foodi, is the fact that it also STEAMS the kernels (which could be avoided by using a splatter screen), but mostly the time standing around listening to the slowly popping popcorn, and waiting, stirring, waiting again. There is no competition for the 3 1/2 minute hot-air popcorn popper, IMHO. Doing that now for over 10 years and can't imagine going ever back to anything else than that crispy popcorn from the hot-air popper. Still, thumbs up for making that video. Electric pressure cookers are so useful.
OMG looks amazing!!! Will definitely try it... do you offer alternative no sugar recipe for diabetics? Thx for inspiring me to want to learn to cook at 51 years of age lol
Some of my recipes are keto friendly, which means low carb and low sugar. In others, you can usually substitute the sugar for your favorite sugar substitute. The exceptions are candy, and some jams.
Thank you Louise! I have to make it! One question, not sure if you said it, you might have, so sorry if I make you repeat it. If I want individual popcorns and not clusters, do I separe them when still wet, or after when they are dry. Thanks!
I love this! I always have a hard time mixing up my caramel and popcorn because I didn't have a good size bowl. I am happy that I can use the Foodi for this! I have never cooked the caramel to a certain temperature, either, but it looks like that hard crack stage means I wouldn't have to dry it out in the oven. WIN!
Love the caramel corn, however I am diabetic and corn syrup has a great deal of sugar.what to use as substitute? The brown sugar I use splenda brown sugar
Great recipe!!! Tried and tested. Tried cooking caramel popcorn before without corn syrup, didn't come out as great (gritty instead) Thanks a lot Louise for your tutorial!🤗😘 #cornsyrupisamust
You have hopefully purchased this by now but just in case...it is a great purchase. It can do so many things and clean-up is so much easier that I hardly use my stove anymore.
I got the 6.5 for myself...solo, my sister got the 8 quart for her family of 4. The only difference is about 1-1 1/2 inch added depth in the 8 quart the width is the same. We both love it, and I have not had a problem with the smaller size even when cooking in larger batches. Search UA-cam she has a GREAT video comparing the different sizes and functions and models. After watching her video I saved some money and went with the older style with a separate pressure cooking lid, (like in this video) and it works fantastic. It is by far the best appliance I have ever had.
The Salted Pepper No, it definitely isn’t molasses. It is syrup made with natural cane sugar instead of corn. It is much lighter than molasses. It’s delicious. It’s a British sweetener that is available in Canada. Perhaps it’s available in the US as well. I think you would love it.
I found cornsyrup in the pantry and used that. I did panic and didn't stir my baking soda completely and one in a bite I get that taste but this is delicious. I'm on Chitown where we go to Garrets for great popcorn but you are saving me money and trips downtown.
Hi Salt Pepper; in the last couple of days you posted a recipe for 🍌banana cream pie; with your secret ing. which was whipping cream! some how lost your post!!!! could you please send it to me.........Thank You
I sure wish I was told it was a commercial, I forgot to get paid by Ninja! Strange as it is, I used my own money to purchase the Foodi and the food, my own time to create and test the recipe. Then, I put it on YT for people to watch for free in case they wanted to make it. But, hey, by all means leave your comment. It speaks volumes about who you are as person and my “commercial” speaks volumes about me. 😁

Good idea!
thank you for outlining all the stages of candy making. It helped me to understand.
Sorry I didn't catch them all!

Hi, this is awesome! What about peanut butter flavour popcorn? How should I go for the sauce?
Sounds great! I would make a peanut butter sauce that will harden when cool and drizzle it over the popcorn and let it sit.
This is brilliant!!! I wonder also if you can do the popcorn with the air fryer ? I have a popcorn maker that heats the air ?🧐
I haven't tried popcorn with an airfryer because I would think the kernels would fly up and get stuck.
Very good point ! See that’s why you do these things best :-). X I’ve loved watching all the recipes 😍
Thank you Louise! I have to make it! One question, not sure if you said it, you might have, so sorry if I make you repeat it. If I want individual popcorns and not clusters, do I separe them when still wet, or after when they are dry. Thanks!
Separate them as much as you can before the harden.

Yes, that is what I loved about this recipe. No oven time!
Do I need to know the stages or just go to 300*? Have you ever used a sugar substitute?
Thanks. Love your video. I’m buying this machine.
You'll love it!
Love your presentations! I went to your amazon store looking for the silicone lid but did not see it there. Could you provide a link possibly?
Sorry you couldn't find them. I think they are under Ninja Foodi accessories. Here is my affiliate link directly to the lids: amzn.to/3cYsswj
Where did you get your silicone cover from I looked in Amazon and I couldn’t find it
Love the caramel corn, however I am diabetic and corn syrup has a great deal of sugar.what to use as substitute? The brown sugar I use splenda brown sugar
I haven't tried to make caramel with splenda so I'm not sure how it would work.
Oooo yummy! How about butter toffee popcorn? 😁
That sounds amazing!
A great seasoning for this recipe or just the straight popcorn is McCormick Molasses Bacon.
Never heard of it. Will have to check around. Did you buy it in just a regular grocery store?
@@suebean3873 You can't buy it anymore, McCormick retired that seasoning in May of 2018. Everytime I find a seasoning I like from them they retire it.
Great recipe!!! Tried and tested. Tried cooking caramel popcorn before without corn syrup, didn't come out as great (gritty instead)
Thanks a lot Louise for your tutorial!🤗😘 #cornsyrupisamust

I am new to your channel I am Puerto Rican but I live in NY Do you recommend the Ninja foodi?
I think the Ninja Foodi is a great small appliance.
@@TheSaltedPepper ok thank you
You have hopefully purchased this by now but just in case...it is a great purchase. It can do so many things and clean-up is so much easier that I hardly use my stove anymore.
Louise, have you tried using honey instead of corn syrup? My neighbor across the street makes hers with honey. Not using NF but conventional cooking.
My name is Rhonda from Jenkinsburg ga. Our you tube is my sons account. What model do you recommend for family of 5.
Hi Rhonda! That really depends on what you like to cook. If you have the room, it can’t hurt to get the 8qt.
I got the 6.5 for myself...solo, my sister got the 8 quart for her family of 4. The only difference is about 1-1 1/2 inch added depth in the 8 quart the width is the same. We both love it, and I have not had a problem with the smaller size even when cooking in larger batches.

hi
why are you not using the ninja foodi lid ?
can you make this in insta pot
Could you use Lyle’s Treacle syrup instead of corn syrup. I’m allergic to corn syrup.
I think that is molasses and would be very different in this recipe. You can use sugar and water in place of the corn syrup.
The Salted Pepper No, it definitely isn’t molasses. It is syrup made with natural cane sugar instead of corn. It is much lighter than molasses. It’s delicious. It’s a British sweetener that is available in Canada. Perhaps it’s available in the US as well. I think you would love it.
Yes cashews are amazing!
I love them!
Cashews are legumes. Anyhow. Thanks for your guidance. Enjoyed the lesson. Stay safe!
I'm not sure that cashews are legumes actually, but it doesn't really matter how you classify them, they are delicious!
I’m betting you could probably make candy with this. I’m looking to make small batch caramel corn in the home.
if your using more popcorn i assume you make more caramel right?
I would do it in batches for the best outcome.
Could I substitute agave for the corn syrup?
I really don't know if that would work well.
I found cornsyrup in the pantry and used that. I did panic and didn't stir my baking soda completely and one in a bite I get that taste but this is delicious. I'm on Chitown where we go to Garrets for great popcorn but you are saving me money and trips downtown.
Is it possible to pop the corn with the air fryer function?
Not really. The popcorn gets into the crisping lid. I tried it! LOL
