- John Brzenk born 1964, is an ex professional armwrestler from the United States. He competes in the Ultimate Armwrestling League and is the current UAL Right-Handed Champion . He won the 2015 World Armwrestling League right handed Heavyweight championship. Among experts Brzenk is widely regarded, and was also officially named by the Guinness Book of World Records, as the "Greatest Armwrestler of All Time.

This guy is the holy grail of AW.
His hook is just indestructible, slow and controlled, he just inches towards the pad. Imagine if he had the speed of someone like Ivakin or Travis... but clearly whatever composition of his muscles is, it's perfect for the sport.
0:37 I always loved how the camera switches to the other side just as John takes his hand and turns his wrist! I always found that one of the coolest shots in arm wrestling.

Dominance like John Brzenk compiled, will probably never be matched, or surpassed. He will be the G.O.A.T. forever.
It's not only the sheer dominance but his ability to pull well above his own weight class. John was most successful at the 198lb class, where he remained undefeated on the right hand for literally 20 years! The kicker is that he would often pull not only HW but also SHW divisions in addition to his own, often in the same tournaments, and still walk away with the overall win. Nowadays we have guys that are so big, they could never pull above their weight class because they weigh well over 300lbs. There's no one around now, with the exception of an aged John and maybe Zoloev and Toddzilla who even dare to pull against guys that big. John pulled Lupkes and Cleve Dean many times, each of those guys was twice his size and often three times his weight. I miss those days of seeing a "David vs. Goliath" match where the smaller "David" could actually win it.
No abnormal growing, no abnormal HEAD GROWING, always the same body. Pure talent

@@justaguyfromreddit don't assume things too fast. Also Brzenk didn't even take a 5th of the amount of steroids Levan is taking and he trained a lot less (most likely). Even if prime Levan would win against prime Brzenk, pound for pound Brzenk can't be compared. His natural strength is greater than anyone else's.
@@dave7825 True & the matchup to levan is all wrong on many levels , but if John was 30 years younger , he would have still had a go , just like he did with the heavy & super heavy’s back in the day. That’s what I love about him just not afraid to pull anyone , even in the same day ! , you won’t see that again , didn’t knock them back & say no , I want to , but another time after rest & recovery , not John . The goat .

There are very few in AW history who were capable of pulling guys in 3 or 4 different weight classes all the way up to Super HW and still taking the overall win in a tournament. Those guys could be counted on one hand. Zoloev, Toddzilla, and John. No one took more overall titles and world #1 than John. I don't think his record could ever be broken, not even by the best guys we have today. Even if Devon or Levan continue to pull for the next 15 years, I don't know that either of them could capture anywhere near the world titles John has. It's quite amazing really.

The Chance Shaw match was a sideshow, but the Dimitri Kachan match was serious business. When John came with the press in round 1, I cheered out loud.

John is true legend. Amazing what John accomplished w/o any assistance from drugs. John best ever at 300 pounds or less. Cleve Dean best ever at over 300 pounds w/o any strength training at all. Simply a huge beast w/ biggest hands & wrist in sport ever.

6:04 remember Pushkar was only age 20 in this supermatch; by 2014, at age 28, he was at full power and beat a John aged 50.
If John was 28 , pushkar would have been swept away by John , I suppose because John is so good , it was still an accomplishment to beat him at age 50 . In any other match with any other competitor it would be called ridiculous to match up a 28 year old to a 50 year old . John , among all his feats & especially with his comeback at age 57 has made armwrestling , timeless.
John , were similar age. I coach travel baseball and can still throw a ball by all these young guns. It's a bit of talent and a bit of strength. But experience.trumps all. Best of luck onward. Great video!

El mejor de todos sin duda, ganaba a larratt, cyplenkov, y los mejores estando en el mismo peso. Larratt y cyplenkov tuvieron que ganar mucho musculo y peso para poder ganarle. Ya te digo que si John breznak hubiera seguido el mismo camino no le habría ganado nadie. Aumento algo de músculo y peso pero nada que ver cyplenkov o el mismo levan que ahora es imbatible. Le sacaban más de 50kg de peso.
