ST.TERESA OF LISIEUX: “I should be distressed that I drop off to sleep during my prayers... But I don’t feel at all distressed. I know that children are just as dear to their parents whether they are asleep or awake, and I know that doctors put their patients to sleep before they operate. I’d never before heard it said that one’s faults did not distress God, and I was overwhelmed with joy when I did receive this assurance. It gave me patience to endure this life of exile. It was, too, the echo of my inmost thoughts. For a long time I had realized that Our Lord was more tender than a mother - and how well I know the depths of tenderness in more than one mother’s heart! I know that a mother is always ready to forgive the misbehavior of her child.”
She’s so beautiful, no tons of bleach or makeup or trying to be cutesy and funny. she reminds me of how humble our Blessed Mother was and is inside and out.
YES.... I have difficulty praying. I do pray but always praying at last minute when I going to bed. I want to pray daily before going to bed but, I keep forgetting about it and at last minute I'm doing it. 😱😫😭😭💔 God help me to pray daily before going to bed, and when I wake up. I do need to do better on my daily prayers 🙏👼😇❤️
I have to love God more. That's why this is happening to you... Take a look: if you love your wife/husband so much, would you talk to her/him only before your sleep? No right? Just think about Jesus, the One who gave His life for you. God bless you :)
I believe the adversary is fighting Christians hard this Advent. he doesn’t want us worshipping and praying. I haven’t been able to pray easily lately. I’m struggling hard. I rebuke the spirit of desolation in prayer in the Name of Jesus!
Fabio Tuan yeah my focus is 100% on The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I stopped praying to saints. I took off my Miraculous Medal that I’ve never taken off for the last 10yrs, it has St. Christopher on it, St. Anthony, and a few others. I took off my crucifix necklace with Jesus’ Body on it. I’m only going to wear a simple cross without Jesus on it. I stopped praying the rosary too.
Thanks Father Mark and Mother Clare for being real people and helping us, guiding us in our every day in prayer life. Looking forward to many more videos with you two.
Mother Clare and Fr. Mark-Mary, Thank you both so much for this video. I an so blessed to have watched it because it was just what I needed. I have been going to adoration with my husband everyday because he is doing Exodus 90 again this year. Last year, I was not very supportive of his choice to do this spiritual excerise because it effected my life in ways were I had to sacrifice in ways that I did not want to.
I pray through the distractions. By focusing on every word of the prayer I keep pulling my mind away from the distraction and deeper into the full meaning of the prayer. When praying the Rosary I'm constantly thinking about the meaning of each of the mysteries. Be with Jesus during the agony in the garden. Feel the presence of the decent of the Holy Spirit. I've grown to love praying the Rosary because it helps me to experience each of these mysteries. A rosary can be said in about 17 minutes, this is a perfect length of time for the human mind to maintain focus.
I pray for you both every day, I love your messages! I wish so much to be able to meet you in person someday. Mother Clare, you inspire me more than you know! You have an amazing gentleness and shine forth the spirit of our Lord in a way I want in my heart of hearts to emulate. Father Mark-Mary I am always inspired by your spirit to challenge myself more; each time you speak to my heart. Please continue to put out these videos, because I for one get a lot out of them! God bless you both now, and forevermore. Happy Advent, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, I'll be looking for you in the next decade! Sr. Mary Katheryn, CoS

Discipline is so vital to having a healthy prayer life, and so difficult in our modern society, where we have a slew of constant, virtually nonstop distractions. For example, if one struggles, such as myself, with diligently getting up first thing in the morning to pray, then maybe one (in this instance, ME!!!) shouldn’t keep their cellphone either in their bed, or next to it, as we all know is so common for people today, and not only “millennials”. With that said, in terms of having a disciplined prayer life, I wholly encourage praying the liturgy of the hours, as much as one reasonably can in their daily life. It truly is “the prayer of the church”, and, while only priests and religious are required to pray it, the church invites all of us to do so, too. While only a small percentage of us are called to the priesthood or religious life, we are all called to foster monastic habits regarding prayer and meditation, to truly foster a monastic heart.
I work with a young atheist. She's so sweet but raised with NO idea of God. I asked her to go to Mass with me and could I baptize her. Any suggestions?
Eileen early Christians were recognized by their kindness. If you can be that role model then when the time is right, your young friend will want to emulate you more and more. Let her be drawn to the church by your example. Let it be her decision and something she wants to become. Perhaps she could help with some charity work and see the joy of sharing and giving, as a part of the church community.
Important to note also: ADHD is an enemy of prayer for me and the ability to sit still and read scripture or speak with God is a major difficulty for me.
Username11God wants you to use your adhd qualities. Like, pray while moving - dance perhaps, or walk or workout? There’s tons of psalm and worship music. And maybe listen to Scripture being read instead of read it yourself. Meanwhile, keep moving. Sometimes, ADHD is linked to early trauma or chaos in life. If so, know that our God longs to heal you. Bless you sister/brother in Christ!
Mairiam DeBron hey I really appreciate it but I’m very traditional and I don’t think those things would work for me. But I’ve recently been able to get the diagnosis and a prescription that I think will help me a lot. I find when I’m able to be still my quality of prayer is much better but I’m sure adhd has fueled a lot of other good parts of me it’s just a matter of being able to control it that I am working on being able to do
maestro22121 yeah it can be so frustrating from forgetting to pray to not being able to do it at all. Have you been to a professional who can suggest tools to help you like medication and whatnot?
@@username1172 Have you tried the "non-traditional" ways at least once or twice? Maybe this is God saying you need to get out of your comfort zone (within reason, I mean don't make radical changes that aren't ever going to work) and be courageous to prepare for something down the road.
My question is, are daily prayers still acceptable that same day if you start them late at night and finish them the next day? For example I started a novena a couple of days ago and some days I forget to pray the rosary up until 11:30pm and I finish after 12.
I sometimes have to push my daily prayers to late evening due to current circumstances and just had this thought last night. I'm gonna go with what St. Ignatius says (don't make changes to your spiritual routine in times of desolation) until I can find my answer from someone who would know.

Did you speak to your local Priest about baptizing her?
Well you can ask the parish priest and she can be baptised on the church where your going to mass
And pray for her to convert. Ask God for help. God bless you ☺️
Take her to the traditional Latin mass. I think most people get turned off and leave when they’re met with guitar mass and poor liturgy etc.
