What is the role of the O2 molecule in the actual mechanism that converts alphaketoglutarate to succinate in this pathway? Is the oxygen required in the chemical conversion or does it simply act as an allosteric activator? I cannot find an example of the mechanism that includes the reaction of O2. In all of the reaction mechanisms I've located it is an inorganic phosphate that removes the coA from the succinyl-coA molecule and provides the oxygen.
Great video, thanks for making and uploading.
Never heard 402nd pronounced like that 6:35
Magnificent, sir!
Thank you sir for your great effort , just want to ask 1 question , why do HIF-PI inhibitors do not cause hypoxia or hypoxemia

perfectly explained
awesome video!

are you sure in normaxic condition HIF 1a bind with HIF 1b ????
Didnt sound like he said that. I think he says HIF1a is transcribed but destroy before it gets a chance to bind 1b
sir you survived me
