    I love love love your tutorial. I was looking for the other video with this video when you were going to add the glitter. I’m not able to locate it🥺🥺.
    Also do you have a tutorial on cutting overlay. Holy cow that was amazing. Is that how you would do all overlay’s. Put your measuring tape in the middle and cut straight down.
    That was beautiful how it matched up.
    Thank you so very much. You’re amazing 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

    Is it ok to use the Rustoleum clear gloss instead of matte? That's what I have on hand but wanted to make sure first. You add your three coats of clear spray paint and then after that you do your 3 plastidip? Not one clear spray and then one p;astidip and so forth. Hope I'm making sense lol. Thank you for your tutorial.

    • @RebeccaEscott
      @RebeccaEscott  2 роки тому +1

      Yes you can use clear gloss, correct if it’s a large image I recommend at least 3 coats of each but it doesn’t require heavy coats just make sure you let dry in between and don’t seal in the direct sunlight. I hope this was helpful.

    I'm a fan of your work!...... and I watch your videos over and over when I need help with things and I wait not so patiently for you to upload a new video on YT every week ....lol!!. Thank you for sharing and helping out us new tumbler makers. I have a question tho.....I am struggling with getting an image on a rounded 14 oz coffee mug (from Stainless Steel Depot). I found this really cute image and thought instead of a waterslide (clear-you wouldn't see the image anyway because the cup is blue and glittered) I thought I would print my image on sticker paper. I sealed it with clear spray paint 3 times ( I have an inkjet), cut it out and applied it. I could not get it to lay flat on the front of the mug. DISASTER. So then I thought I would try a white waterslide, sealed then sprayed with Plasti Dip. I thought this surely would work. Well I did a full sheet, cut out the image, sealed it 3 times then sprayed with Plasti Dip, waited about 4 hours then applied it. The edges curled up on my waterslide and I couldn't get them to lay flat. I am so mad. I see all these beautiful cups and I know I can do this, but whenever I try, it's a failure. :( My one thought was after I cut out the image, should I seal the sides and then Plasti Dip the sides too?? I was hoping that you could do a tutorial using images on a rounded ( for the lack of a better word) surface?? I'm posting this here because this was the video I remembered of you using Plasti Dip and getting the image to stretch. I did get the image to somewhat flatten out but the edges are a pain in the .... Please help. Thanks!

    • @RebeccaEscott
      @RebeccaEscott  Рік тому +1

      Awww, thank you so much! Lets dive into this and I hate to say it but it could be as simple as sizing of the image. I to started my tumbler creating on curved tumblers and there is a real learning curve lol no pun intended. If the image is to big for the surface it will always wrinkle and never lay flat, now there are some tricks to where you can cut several slices into the outter edges of the image in order to get in to lay flat but that to can be a pain. I would recommend making the image smaller and you can also try using printable vinyl from Cricut or the Silhouette brand that doesn't have to be sealed which prevents using all the sealers. I will say that I would find myself using the Silhouette brand more often as the paper/vinyl is thinner and I found it to be much easier to work with verses the Cricut brand. I also get my 140z Coffee mugs that are curved from AB Designs, and I would not make my image or images more than 3.5 x 3.5 inches this way I would apply the image or decal on the flat section just before the cup starts to curve. I really hope this was helpful also they do sell a waterslide with a white backing but for some reason I never managed that very well, however you might so that too is an option. I have never used plasti dip with sticker paper as it doesn't work the same and really only works on clear waterslide paper. Please let me know if there is anything more I can do it help ok. You got this honey, don't give up.

    • @RebeccaEscott
      @RebeccaEscott  Рік тому +1

      You are doing all the right steps it sounds, but the only thing that comes to mind is maybe the coats are too heavy so it’s not drying well in between coats which would make the slide slimy. The goal with the clear is to seal in the inks and the plastidip is to help with the give when it’s slightly stretched to wrap the tumbler. I hope this helps please keep me posted. ❤️❤️

    I haven’t done waterslide yet but I see from other tutorials where epoxy is used so my question is do you have to use epoxy being that it’s not good to use it or does this take the place of epoxy for sealing cups etc. thanks

    • @RebeccaEscott
      @RebeccaEscott  4 роки тому

      Melicent Lucas Great question, So I definitely epoxy all my cups and it’s perfectly safe if done correctly. I use the clear spray to seal my inks bc I use a printer and I also use the plasti dip on large waterslides to help with the stretch that’s required to wrap my tumbler. I really hope this helps.

    Where did you get the glossier spray?

    • @RebeccaEscott
      @RebeccaEscott  4 роки тому

      You can buy both clear spray and plasti dip from Home Depot, Walmart and I think Lowes and defiantly online.

      Liana Arriaga I print 8.5x11, I also never print through DS when printing such large images.

      Creative Vinyl Designs By Rebecca Escott what do you use to print?

    • @RebeccaEscott
      @RebeccaEscott  4 роки тому +1

      Liana Arriaga I made this tutorial, I am hopeful it can help you. It’s an online resize site that helps me so much,
      I can enlarge an image without it getting distorted, then once I hit the download button at the bottom another screen pops up and I print right from that. ua-cam.com/video/Y17FMZUb5h8/v-deo.html

      Lil Ditty I know I’m so sorry, every time it goes off I’m literally rolling my eyes, it’s so sensitive that the cars going by sets it off. Lol The imagine I pulled off google, I searched pink marble and it came up. Thank you so much for watching the tutorial. ❤️

      You can turn down the radius that it picks up. Mine was doing that too. But sometimes I want it that sensitive so I have more time to know someone is there. My internet is super slow.

      Lil Ditty Yeah I like mine sensitive as well and I guess you can turn it off or put it to sleep lolol idk what they call it and I never ever remember until I’m filming and it goes off. I’m a mess hahah

    Does the dip spray, help the waterslide to stay stronger. You make it look so easy. Lol I never can take my back off smooth

    • @RebeccaEscott
      @RebeccaEscott  4 роки тому +2

      The plasti dip helps give the ability to stretch and get it around the cup the way you need to. Ive been practicing with WaterSlides for such a long time and many have told me it can not be done and it could never be done on a 30oz with a curve, But it most defiantly can be done on a curve and done so without any distortion. ❤

      @RebeccaEscott  4 роки тому +2

      @@richellegarza9807 Make sure when you are spraying your coats to seal that you only wait about 3 to 5 mins, if you wait any longer then that you waterslide will be ruined. Never wait, once you seal the slide you must use it immediately.

      Creative Vinyl Designs By Rebecca Escott well thats what i did wrong. Usually when seal waterslide i wait 24hrs but thats without plasti dip. I tried plasti dip for the first time yesterday and ripped it but I waited to long

    Why do you use plasti dip

    • @RebeccaEscott
      @RebeccaEscott  4 роки тому +1

      I use Plastidip to allow the waterslide to stretch to wrap around the tumbler.
