Just take some sand paper to that G10 until its as grippy as you want it, also for the ferro rod try putting the edge of your knife down on top of your tinder and draw the rod across the spine. This will concentrate your sparks allowing them to burn hotter and longer since they dont have very far to fall, this is one of the best methods and works the first time almost everytime or takes less strikes at least lol. Great looking knife thanks for showing!

Awesome to see station IX get traction! The company is underground as fuck but ABSOLUTELY phenomenal.

I have a few knives but always seem to want or think I need one more. In my mind, bigger and thicker, is better. Half machete, half knife.

In my opinion, a survival military knife is mainly used for tactical purposes. I like this knife and looks similar to my Gerber Strongarm. Great video

Scrape your magnesium onto your signal panel, then funnel them onto your tinder.

Nice looking knife!! Not to crazy about the kydex sheath tho, I find that they tend to rattle with the knife in them. That alone could compromise your survival in a tactical situation, in a nonpremissive environment.

Oh look it's the SOG seal pup or cold steel SRK cloned and with a higher price tag.
I get that that design is popular. The SRK is issued to those entering the seal selection process but why not bring some originality into the product. Rather than making a carbon copy of an already well established product.
If someone is going to clone someone else's work. You'd think they'd lower the price to at least be competitive

Except the tang goes through the whole guard and handle with rounded corners at the edges, unlike the partial tangs with hard right angles to the blade (aka weak points where these SOG and SRK and Kabar knives break often). It has a g10 handle which beats the hell out of that rubber crap. Rubber handles break easy if you have to hit the handle area with a baton, they also deteriorate over time as the rubber dries out. The GRN handles on the SOG break pretty easy too. There are subtleties in this design that make it superior/different. There’s nothing about this knife that is a “copy”. There’s about 5 different blade shapes to choose from that actually have use in a utility aspect, there’s only so much innovation that you can do in a fixed blade knife.
The only thing they have in common is that they’re clip points, and it’s a good choice for a primarily utility piece, secondary use as a weapon.

“MADE IN CHINA” Not a real Sere, military knife. (The holes would be to make a spear out of it.) Sorry, usually like your videos.
