A short montage of some of the slang used in the 1953 film The Wild One, starring Marlon Brando as Johnny, the leader of BRMC (Black Rebels Motorcycle Club).
"Ur too square", damn that slang has been around for 70 years and people still uses it. Also that old guy being confused by those young people in the bars will probably always be relatible
Hey Jim, what do you think about UA-cam? Do you like UA-cam? What? You know, internet videos. Oh, pictures! No, no pictures. Everything these days is pictures. Pictures and a lot of noise. Nobody even knows how to talk!
˝A picnic, man!!! You are too square...! HAHAHAHAHA This movie has some of the best lines ever... Brando´s face is so funny when he says this line. Its perfect for this comical moment.
Who would have known that Brando would go on the be a fitness guru in his latter years. In fact right up to his death he was training actors and stuntmen the wonders of physical prowess.
You should research what his directors said about him. Quite a few wanted to play kickball with his head for refused to memorize his lines. He also drove other actors and actresses crazy with that, too. Brando was definitely a Hollywood original. ;)
Hey pops did you dig the rebop? What? Well you take the beer over here and the rhyme on the side and beepa da boppa da pow... Hold on I'm just going to get my gun
@courte28 im a huge brando fan so i like pretty much anything with him in it. but i think the actual movie is just okay. its no streetcar named desire or on the waterfront.
@123123000000 Brando wasn't as good everyone thought he was. All those moments where he looks up and around as if confused or pondering the greatness of life, he was just searching for his hidden cue cards because he refused to memorize his lines. Oh, he was good, but he wasn't the best actor ever. Certainly not on the same level as Richard Burton, Humphrey Bogart, or Clark Gable. When you watch his "great" scenes after knowing about his cue cards, he becomes much less of an actor.
This movie is really more of a comedy. And, I don't know if they made it to be a comed, but Brando was just a nothing in tis movie. It was all the other guys that made this movie fun to watch. Brando Wrecked this movie. The self-centered narcissistic degenerate that he was- Glad he's gone- Piece of Invented Star-- A Nothing
You know you're getting older when you start to relate to Jim more than the rebels.
Crazy to think about, living in a time where saying "do you like that new thing, television?" Was normal.
Yeah and now it's an old thing.
Last quote at the end is fucking scary... literally all ot is today is pictures.. we all staring at our phones 247
'Nobody even knows how to talk'. Over 50 yrs later and nothings changed.
It has changed. It has gotten worse, way worse the last 15 with smartphones.
"Ur too square", damn that slang has been around for 70 years and people still uses it.

Lee Marvin's character (Chino) was legit as fuck
I'm diggin' dat crazy jive man.
Fucking priceless.
I should watch this movie today.
I recently found out that there was a ton of epic timeless movies during 30s-80s.
I watched this with my grandaddy kush and I was ROTFLMAO. It was like every other line was a punchline. Did they plan this?? Geniuses !!!

I think Jim was probably the most well protected bartender in the country in those days
A lot of this sounds pretty damned corny. Brando's the only one that can actually sell it, because he's Brando.
He summed up modern society pictures with alot of noise nobody even knows how to talk
1:15 well if that isn't the truth Jim was way ahead of his time
A little bit hip hop going on there!
say jim, whatabout tv?do you like tv? do you like gladiator movies jim?
Who has Johnny's leather jacket?
Real mad, daddy.

jhonny has a boy voice for a troublemaker
The only good thing in this film was Brando. He was fine as-is, but the rest of the movie (script, actors, setting, etc.) were pretty damn laughable.
Brando and those historical and wonderful motorcycles.
guarantee you by the time it was shown in movies nobody used that kind of lingo anymore. Corny as hell.

Who u?
You are nothing, not Brando. He was the charismatic you'd never be.
After 9 years, are you still alive?, If not glad you're gone
whole movie is a pathetic acting failure.
