Here's my car in the snow story. I had an aubergene colored car and would always park it across the street from my home. I woke up an hour early to clean the snow off my car. I usually started from the front of the car but this day I started with the trunk. By the time I got to the front windshield I realized it was someone else's car, so I finished the job and put a note on the windshield wishing the car owner a happy day. I had to then clean my own car. 😇

Here is my 'crazy' story...in 2000, Raleigh NC received a huge snowstorm > 22 inches. I lived in an apt and snow began on Monday evening at 7 PM (I finished my nursing 12 hour shift and was driving home) and when I woke up the next morning all was covered. Being from MICH I did not freak out and luckily, since I was in graduate school, I worked 12 hour shifts on Mondays and Fridays only. (Nurses cannot use the excuse of 'I can't make it in!"). Well I figured I should clean off my car and parking spot before any snow iced over....I did NOT own (any longer) a snow shovel or snow/ice cleaner. So I grabbed my trusty brown (WalMart) dustpan. I sat on a huge snow pile and began from the ground up...digging out my car and cleaning up my car. Before long the heavy snow caused the handle to break off the plastic dustpan. But being of MICH stock I never gave up. I just continued to use the dustpan and dig out my car. After a long while I did clean up my car. I went inside and wrote my Northern friends a nice funny email, labeling it "I did it with a dustpan'. That was January oooh or was if Feb? Anyway, that following December my mom and dad came from MI to Raleigh for a visit Guess what was my gift? Yes a BIG Michigan snow shovel with a shiny red bow. Both my mom and dad are now in heaven...but that MICH shovel still has a place of honor in my garage! (The dustpan? I am not sure where it ended up)
Just got back from Aldi. I got Christmas light bags and the tree bag. When I checked out it came to $331.13!!! I said oh that can’t be right, please say it isn’t right because Meghan said, the woman behind me said yep Meghan said $19.99 and the register woman laughed and said yep I know what Meghan said. Apparently she slide the barcode across the scanner and it rang up 20 of the tree bags. But everyone at Aldi knows Meghan! Thanks Meghan!
Black eyed peas with hog jowl for luck, cornbread for coins and collards for good health! Every New Year’s Day for my entire life! It’s a southern thing!
Hello Meghan, Thanks For Sharing Your Aldi's Walk Through With All Of Us. I Went To Aldi's, Walmart And My Local Grocery Store And Stocked Up Real Good. Glad That's Over With. I Saw Alot Of The Things you Are Showing. God Bless You And All Of Your Family And Your Fur Babies Too.👍😺🐶🙏🙏🙏🎄🎄🎄
Thank you for sharing and showing ALL-di new things and Aldi! I can't believe that some of the Christmas/holiday stuff on sale already with spring goods already entering the store rotation. Crazy how fast this year went. 🔜 Also, watch out for the milk/dairy prices! There's been a recent outbreak of bird flu in California, which is one of the biggest agricultural (if not the biggest overall) hubs in the US. Because of this, prices on certain goods are probably going to rise soon! 🐮 Happy holidays, as per usual, Meghan! 🌲❄🎁
A tip I got years ago was to take a photo of the isle # (if there is one) or the store position at the end of your isle. That way you can look at your phone's photo to find your car. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your family.
Our Aldi opened a few weeks ago and I have appreciated your advice. You just popped up in time to let me know what to expect to find in Aldi and I enjoy your commentary! 👩🏼💻
I, too, would like to know if anyone is putting those rugs in their washer, I don't dare try. I just drag it out into the driveway and spray it down with the hose, then carpet cleaner, then the hose again.
@laurenj.5312 This is so good that a restaurant in my city occasionally has it on their menu!!! I love it. I'm making my own version for New Year's Day lunch.
We just got an Aldis in my town and when it opened it was fully stocked but after that not really. You show stuff and so I go to mine and am let down 😒. I still appreciate you Megan❤
So much goodness ... especially during this time of year ... thank you for being so observant as you review the various items each week .... it does help me make a better-informed decision. 🤟
When we were stationed in Gaeta, Italy (home of the 1st discovered pizza) my then 2 year old son ONLY ate pizza Bianca- pizza with sliced potatoes and hot dogs! 😊
lol pronounced like haree-co-VAIR. Fancy way to say green beans. Love all your videos! I love both Aldi and Costco but they’re a bit far from me (although right by each other which is nice). I always check out your content first to see if I’m ready to make the trip. Also, I’ve seen a few different articles lately talking about grocery store prices, and everyone agrees that aldi consistently has the lowest ones.
The wreath storage is huge. I put in a 14 inch fluffy wreath made with mesh ribbon approx 20 inches wide. With plenty of room left. Heavy canvas, well made. Not stackable. Will be using the bag for Christmas wrapping the gifted wreath for a present. Well worth it for the price.
Meghan good morning so nice to see you. I’m a little disappointed. I didn’t find one thing I needed to go to Aldi for that’s a shocker. Well have a great day. Be blessed and sending you prayers and much love and a great big hug.❤🙏
When I was in school (about a hundred years ago), they served shoestring potato sticks as a side with our lunch. Potato chips took over a few years later.
@BertyPerez-h6r Its also very scary. In 1982, I went to a very large mall out here in Sacramento. I had my infant daughter in a stroller. I left through one door, went out and could not find my car, anywhere. After quite a whole, I was pretty upset. All the doors at this mall were identical, I did finally find it but I had an MGB and was sure it had been stolen. Whew!
My youngest son taught me how to use the “PANIC” button on my Jeep fob.You press that button and then the Jeep sends off a alarm sound so that you can find where your parked.👏Genius 👍👍 Never knew that lol 😝 I’ve had to use it quite a few times.
My sister makes black eyed peas and ham over cornbread ,,so good -- NYE it's done the typical way with saurkraut /hot dogs/pork in a crockpot with boiled potatoes on the side.
I have had to eat gluten free since 1990. Believe me that things are WAY better now. It is so nice to have things I don’t have to make from scratch. But yea, usually not quite as good as stuff with gluten 😕
Talk about forgetting where you parked, i hear ya. I try to remember what i see when i 1st walk inside. Whether its the mens section, hardware, etc. 🙏❤😊🎅🎄⛄
You are so much fun to watch🤓 Black-eyed peas are what you cook for good luck in the coming year. I remember my Aunt Bobby from Memphis, Tennessee would always have a pot on the stove. It couldn’t be out of a can either it had to be dry beans. Maybe that’s why you found them in an odd spot. It doesn’t hurt to add some bacon to it as well. 😉.
Here is my car snow story, we were at my parents house overnight we had snow with freezing temps, the ice and snow was so thick we could not get it off my father gave my husband a hammer he said use this and he did and broke the side window. We had to drive home for two hours with no window, it was not too pleasant. 🤦♀️
I didn't like the Appleton Farms ham. Orange blossom honey is wonderful! I just love your positive humorous personality! It's a great diversion from all the crap going on in the world. Thank you Meghan.
Oooh! I want some mushroom bites! I know they are not your favorite veggie. By the way, I retained some bits from French class 50 years ago - hericot verts are green beans. My neighbor used to call me "my petite pois" little pea??? Cute? I don't know. But I liked it.
FYI per Mr Google folks…French green beans (also called Haricots Verts) are slightly longer and skinnier than regular green beans and may be a little bit more expensive. They are harvested earlier then regular green beans, so they are thought to be more tender and more flavorful.

I’m in Coon Rapids MN. It was fun there was lots of laughter in my line. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Ya'll that live near an Aldi, I'd love that honey sampler. It's OK if it's late getting here! My closest Aldi is over 800 miles.

Blackeye peas, diced kielbasa, rice and other seasonings - makes a wonderful soup!!!
I should try this soup with blackeyed peas. I make the same soup with red beans.

The squeegee part of the car cleaner is really nice for slush on your vehicle. The slush doesn’t get stuck in the brush part with the squeegee there.

🎄Merry Christmas to you and family🎄
I’m so jealous, your store still has the Christmas gelato!
