I sure appreciate your videos. I love the flaking pattern you create. It's interesting to watch you swap to the copper and be as accurate with it being longer. It's easy to trade out with equal lengths...phenomenal!
Your striking accuracy and speed are just phenomenal! You obviously have the ultimate confidence in your abilities. My jaw drops watching you. Great blade.
When you broke out the primitive materials, like the rock and the antler, was that to show us how it can be done or did you prefer them in those moments? You seemed to use them near the end for finer work
Fantastic work the courage you have in Striking that blade

These close up views in this series really show your technique clearly. Thanks for doing these.

Beautiful work....What an artist...What a teacher....Thanks
So many times, I wanted you to stop hitting it.. from start to finish a joy. Thankyou
Lol there's something in my brain that won't let me stop until I'm either satisfied with the piece or I break it. I'm glad you enjoyed the show!
Jason you done an excellent job. Where did you get your billets if you don't mind me asking
Thank you!! I just buy aluminum or copper stock off of ebay normally. And cut/make my own tools.
Is the platform sitting in the middle of the brass rod before you strike?
Just below. I put a bevel on the bottom side of the tip. And seat the platform just below where it's starts beveling back
Nice, what a skilled artists, thanks for sharing.
What kind of stone is that ? I found a point in northern minnesota of the same stuff.
This is rootbeer from the Texas hill country. What you found was very likely knife river flint which I believe comes out of the dakotas
Greetings Jason! This new filming video arrangement works great, now we can see every detail during your knapping. Saludos
Watching this makes me want to start knapping agian!
Fantastic! I want you to make me one.
I love the way you hold your percussion flaker😂 I may have to try the technique myself
Beautiful blade and great video, thanks again.
Those indirect flake scars sure look good on that rootbeer!
Super blade.
Beautiful...it’s amazing how you can put so much focused power into making those final notches, without breaking the piece... well done 👍👍👍
