Hey love!!! Hope you’re feeling WAAYYY BETTER!!!!!! Found this video and you just jumped in my spirit. 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘 and as many huggs that you can stand !!!!! 🙏🏽
OMG, thank you for this. I have been getting quotes for accent walls and they have been astronomically expensive. This makes me feel like I can do it myself!
Wow! I never would have thought adding trim like that to a wall could look so beautiful! I can't wait to see the full room reveal! Were looking at homes to buy and I cannot wait to find that one for us and then start doing things like this to our new home. You totally inspire me! Thank you! 🙂
Wow! Shannon is there anything you dont do?! LOVE this! I love that YOU did this by yourself too! Very empowering and inspiring. Also, your daughter's photos are incredible! She should sell them!
Your daughter's accent wall looks amazing! You did a great job as always! I love it! As always thank you for sharing your creativity, talent and inspiration! Stay safe, healthy and positive! GOD bless you and your family! 🙏❤🇺🇸🌞
This video definitely inspired me to go ahead with my project. I was feeling overwhelmed but you made it so simple & with tools I can work with. The wall looks chic & so beautiful & modern GREAT JOB
Omg you've done it again!!!! You have made so many projects so inexpensive for us. I did the the ship lap diy one and now i been dying to do this one now!!!!!! Thank you so much so thankful for your videos
I love these type of videos that you're doing. I was thinking of doing something similar on the wall next to my staircase but I'm in the early phases of thinking it through. Watching this video now I have a great start to plan and what kinds of material to use. I love the trash to treasure ones also.
Your daughter must be thrilled with the results Shannon! The wall turned out amazing for sure. Thanks for taking us along on your redecorating ride. 🤗 #kindnessmatters
You inspired me, I really want to do this in my bedroom. Possible in my living room also! Heck I am even thinking that PVC trim could be used like shiplap also depending on the thickness available? HUMMMMM
Love your process! That's exactly how I work too. And I love your comment, that you are more of "artist"! So true, us crafters have our own way of working. Would love to see that same wall treatment on more of a feature wall in the room, where it can really be a wow factor.
That turned out beautifully!! Thanks for the Inspo! Been wanting to do something similar to my daughters bedroom, and now I have found what I want to do!!
Love the idea of the lattice instead of one bys. I did an accent wall using 1x3s and although it turned out beautiful, it is a bear to keep clean. Desert living brings a lot of dust😊.
Thank you so much for sharing this DIY! I just bought my first home and have been researching how to do a board and batten wall. I have a few questions, hoping you can help! 1) did you nail the trim on any studs? If not is there any risk to that or are the nails not long enough to penetrate through pipes.(my worst fear) 2) did you not caulk the sides? Thank you!
Wow this came out very well I would have thought that you would have kept the white.. Is your daughter happy with how it looks or is she still thinking about it.. Nice job as always.. Can't wait to see more. Thank you again for you time & many, many talents. See you on the next one.
Looks great. Only thing I would have done differently was moved that trim below the light switch. Being a few inches lower would not have been an eye sore. But having the trim go "through" the switch, then having the switch grey on top of that, has caused it to be an eye sore. But overall, still looks good.
Wonderful job Ladies,, Made it look easy for me.. I am trying it out, on our living room wall.. 10 x 12' This video will help alot..As I have watched other videos I have felt intimidated, You have made it easy to follow.Thank You
Wow amazing..great inspiration..quick question did you paint the light switch or change it out to match. I just love how it disappears looks so high end..
So you just painted over the light switch with regular paint? Has it stayed painted? I want to change my plates to white but the toggle is beige and I don’t want to change out the whole thing because I’m cheap and lazy!
I was curious about the paint staying on the plastic trim she uses. Does the pain stay on? I have little kids and they’ll scratch it off if it comes off easy.
Do you have tips if I don’t want to apply directly to the wall. Like maybe a big piece of wood in the back as the base, applying those wood pieces to it && then cover it with wall paper or paint it, then apply the whole thing to the wall somehow lmaooo would this work ?
Thank you! Each 8' piece cost right under $5 and I used 6 pieces, so about $30. We also had the sparkle and paint so no cost there but that does need to be factored in for some.
Update your closet doors with this same trim!! Super simple and a big transformation! Full tutorial here: ua-cam.com/video/p05iySwJ-rQ/v-deo.html

You're the only one who has shown techniques to get the right spacing 👍
Thank you for showing us that we don't need to have all these fancy and expensive tools to get a board and batten wall done! Yours came out great!

$4000-8000 for a basic fireplace accent wall where I am. Crazy!
This accent wall turned out great! I love it.

Thanks for the Inspo!
Been wanting to do something similar to my daughters bedroom, and now I have found what I want to do!!
It looks easy but that was a challenging project.
Looks great 🤗 I love it
Love the idea of the lattice instead of one bys. I did an accent wall using 1x3s and although it turned out beautiful, it is a bear to keep clean. Desert living brings a lot of dust😊.
Yes - the wood is a process with sawdust and having to sand. This is a little more $$ but less hassle. Great for some but not everyone
I love the wall accent. You have such great ideas 💕
Love it! Thanks so much for making it simple!
Nice! I love this. Very inspiring 👏🏽
This is awesome! Never seen it with the lattice. Nice!

It really isn't too bad! And not a ton of mess either.

What paint did you use on it it’s amazing
Thanks for sharing. Can I do this on a concrete wall?
Awesome. What grit sandpaper did you use?
I got nervous watching the cut for the light switch. Amazing skills!

Hi thank you for this video! Which grit sandpaper did you use to sand?
I recognize your hoodie from Amazon. I ordered the pink/white/grey one, but sadly I had to return it, it was defective.
Love it!! Turned out awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing hlw.you did it! Definitely want to try it in our house! :)
Looks great. I like the explanation of the tools. How long did it take once you got all of the tools? Also, can you get the stats at Home Depot?
Question, my PVC trim lattice is smooth. Wondering did you use special paint or sand to make paint adhere?
Love it
you did good!!
Thank you!
Parabéns!
Muito lindo😍
Where is the list of items to buy to do this project? I love it
Can you do this on a textured wall?
WOW!! 😻😻😻

The 15 dislikes were from people who had their screens upside down
How has this held up?as normal paint on plastic tends not to adhere well and easy to peel and chip off
I’m curious about this as well.
Do you have tips if I don’t want to apply directly to the wall. Like maybe a big piece of wood in the back as the base, applying those wood pieces to it && then cover it with wall paper or paint it, then apply the whole thing to the wall somehow lmaooo would this work ?
The trim that you used. I could not see what it was It was blurry. Also where did you purchase it? Thank you for your help.
Oh my goodness you are the best! This is gorgeous! Sorry if I missed it but approximately how much did this cost you ?
Thank you! Each 8' piece cost right under $5 and I used 6 pieces, so about $30. We also had the sparkle and paint so no cost there but that does need to be factored in for some.
what store did you got the molding lattice 8ft from? and how much is each one?
I love it 🥰 what grey color are her walls ?
Thank you! It's call Granite Gray - I have the source linked in the description box
The butter is a little frozen…lol. All kidding aside, that is a handy tool.
