Protein and fiber really are king for satiety and effortlessly losing fat. I started eating only meat followed up with a big abs bowl of frozen raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries with kefir poured into it with some liquid stevia to sweeten it up and the satiety is off the charts. Steadily lost a pound a week while never feeling hunger and killing it in the gym still.

Eating fruit after protein is an interesting way to do it. Protein takes hours to digest, fruit takes 30 minutes to digest, so your combination would give me horrendous gas and bloating as the fruit would basically ferment on top of the meat. If you have to mix fruit and meat, eat the fruit first. For me, fruit sets off my sugar cravings, so I rarely eat it now. Adding sweetener to fruit indicates you may need to wean yourself off liking an over sweet taste. Once you completely lose the sugar cravings, cutting fat is effortless. I'm mostly carnivore now, so I know I don't need fibre, and have never found controlling what I eat so easy. Good luck, it's all about finding what works for us.

Great discussion. I have really come full circle on protein over the last year. A lot of the earlier studies were unfortunately funded by supplement companies, and I really soured on them because of that. But the truth is that warriors have lived off of high amounts of protein for thousands of years. You almost can’t eat too much of it. “Kill and eat.”

Like the channel. First time viewer . One of the guys said that exercise doesn't get the weight off and nutrition does. That is partly true. Been a life long surfer and at times there would be sometimes a week or even 2 that I couldn't surf whether it be no waves or work . During those periods of time I would get a little extra weight but I could burn it off no problem when the waves picked up again and I was surfing hard everyday. I would be back to lean and defined in a week no problem.
This was before I even started weight training. And I ate whatever I wanted. So exercise did indeed work for weight loss everything for me.

Dudes, learn to eat wings. Order “all flats” then break the two halves on one end, then press the meat down on the plate toward the split end, THEN eat/suck the meat off. You get 100% of the meat off all at once.

I tend to eat more carbs in the morning and earlier in the day.my portions are smaller so I'm digesting them quicker and my metabolism is firing faster generally eating pretty low fat so it's not sitting in my stomach for a while.afternoon and night eat less carbs and maybe eat a higher fat high protein meal before bed so it digests slowly overnight.this approach will work good for most ppl.but what's most important is your hitting ur calories and protein needs for the day..

It’s seems that people like Layne try to use calories in calories out as a reason to disprove Keto or Carnivore, but calories in/out actually just backs both those diets up… because if they allow you to be full with less calories, then they can be a helpful tool to manage your total calorie intake.
Plus the fact that they also recommend certain “basic” macro break downs actually shows that it isn’t JUST about calories in and out

Mark, I’m 54, tried lots of dietary regiments…. High protein, low fat, medium carbs, keto, carnivore… Bottom line protein has to be consistently high to reach a good degree of muscularity… not necessarily 2 grams per pound… but more realistically .75 grams of protein per lean pounds of body weight. Anymore in my lowly opinion has diminishing returns. Causes lethargy, hard on kidneys … not realistic for a 9 - 5 er… I’m sure the exception is if your pushing drugs and competing in some strength sport or bodybuilding( unhealthy now). TRT is good for you , anything extra is counterproductive in the long run…
