A well structured story, character arcs, world building, expanding the lore, and more importantly the relationship between Link and Zelda should be focused on after Tears of the Kingdom.
They need to do a time travel one like OOT but instead of traveling to the past or present, he can go to the future and into the “dark world.” Such as a world where the enemy grows their power.
@@commonwealthrealm yes the cutscenes were amazing. The great but yet sad part was that TOTK left so much to be done… so much. And the future is bright for Zelda. My wife decided to get my copy the opening day at game stop and said it was nice to see all the fans cheering when someone got a copy.
I would love to see another game take place outside of hyrule. We can keep the open world aspect, but open it up by having Link and Zelda sail out of hyrule to find aid from another kingdom across the sea. It can be an open world game where you sail across the open sea, or just take place in a completely new land far away from the Hyrule we've seen in the last couple games. The story could have Link and Zelda discover old documents that managed to survive the great calamity in Hyrule Castle that could be a message asking a foreign kingdom for aid against the Calamity but the message never got sent out due to Calamity Ganon appearing far sooner than anyone expected. Link and Zelda set out across the sea to find the kingdom and ask it's leaders' for aid in rebuilding the kingdom of Hyrule, and when they get there Link has to stop some evil that's taken over this land and save their royal family. It would allow us to move away from Hyrule for a bit, while pushing the story of this specific Link and Zelda forward.
YES! GREAT ANSWER! Let's go back to the past and hear the tale of the Ancient hero fighting another (?) Ganon. You really think they just dropped that amazing character in there and we're not going to see it again? ;)
I enjoyed playing ToTK a lot but I fully agree with Masked Nintendo Bandit on his recent hot take that continuing to be invested in the Zelda lore and metanarrative is probably not worth it. They will always come second to gameplay and are thus bound to suffer as a result. Inconsistencies, ambiguities and vagueness are things that draw away from my enjoyment of any work of fiction and the fact that after a full game we still know next to nothing about the Zonai was really frustrating. Still, I do want the series to continue on being successful and who knows maybe one day we will get closer to a comprehensive, airtight, and consistent Zelda lore and world building (yes, I'm on heavy copium).
Definitely scale back on the open nature of things. One way is by limiting the power of our abilities. There’s beauty in having some structure to story and gameplay in order to craft a curated and memorable experience.
It feels like the time for a new era in Zelda. They need a completely different Hyrule, Link, Zelda and the villain doesn't even need to be a version of Ganon. The team is usually smart in keeping things fresh between entries. I'd say the idea of an adventure in the seas is something that could be brought back and work well in the open world format. Perhaps they could even have a steampunk or science fiction setting to make the new game aesthetically unique. The current version of Link and Zelda can still have side adventures featuring them. Maybe in a game dedicated to rebuilding Hyrule or a 2D spin-off.
I think there's a great possibility the next Zelda will be photorealistic if it's a brand new 3d one. Although Eiji is not a big fan of realism, I think either Miyamoto or Hidemaro will convince him for the sake of showing off the power of the next console. Twilight Princess was one of it's kind and we never got anything alike since in terms of the overal approach to artstyle. It was what the fans wanted but not what the developers thought back then, and so the game was rushed (my favourite Zelda, great main story and quests, good dungeons, enemies etc, but lacked side quests and other things to explore in Hyrule Field) and never explored in the full possibilities of a realistic Zelda. I wouldn't discard a full TP sequel, as it is one of the few games that didn't get a sequel in the series. However, it is a very remote possibility as both BotW and TotK changed way too much the mechanics of the gameplay of Zelda for it to go back to a more restricted classic style, which would be a premisse to a TP sequel. So, probably, overall it will be a realistic game, but who knows what they will come up with in terms of story and gameplay.
Here is a theory I think with TOTK and BOTW most of there time went in making the game run on switch and making the abilities work which is why both games lacked good stories especially TOTK but the next system is gonna be powerful and it will be easy for them to make things work so next Zelda can easily become the best Zelda game it will obviously not have the magic that BOTW had but still if they check all the aspects which makes a Zelda game perfect then it will be the greatest Zelda for sure but the thing I gotta say this artstyle is perfect for Zelda games
Agreed. Also in regards to art style, if they reuse it for the next zelda game on the next gen switch it's definitely going to look even better than it did in botw/totk due to the power of the system.
@@realgamer3948 exactly like the Zelda developers are insane always surpass the expectations at the end the only thing I know is it will be a fun game and it will be my first Zelda game that I will buy from my money really excited
I’d love to see a Zelda game where we go on more of a journey to somewhere other than just hyrule. I would have preferred that over having the depths/sky islands.
I might get flak for it, but boy... Do I want something like Four Swords Adventures again. The concept of a multiplayer Zelda is always something extremely appealing to me. So I really wish they could give it another try at a multiplayer Zelda where you could choose to play as other characters aside from Link (the Musou games were pretty dope in that regard). I'm a gameplay focused guy, so as long as it is a compealing, entertaining and interesting story with well done characters, I'm happy.
I was wondering what artist got the chance to provide concept art for this video and have their name shouted out, until I heard "so we let AI have a go at it" :/
Even as it quickly flashed across the screen, I was just thinking "why does the triforce have 6 pieces instead of 3? Why are there two handles for the master sword? Why does BotW shirt link have a green hat?" and so on.
I want a fully fleshed out world where each people group have full cities as well as settlements. Give the Hylians Greco-Roman architecture and give the Sheikah Japanese architecture. Sure it would be anachronistic, but this is fantasy and it would work amazingly well! For the other peoples, not entirely sure, but still want to see large cities and villages
Personally, I’d actually really like to see a game based on the ancient hero. It seems like it could be an interesting story; history is always written by the victor, so I’m sure defeating the first Calamity absolutely did not go as smoothly as the story told in BotW implied. Alternatively, the Ancient Hero’s Aspect sort of confirmed that the Hero isn’t always Hylian; so a game where the Hero is another race would be interesting. How fid the Gerudo come to have a good relationship with Hyrule again??? Maybe one hero was born Gerudo.
I'm sad to say I've lost faith in the Zelda team since totk. Which is ironic, because as much as I've been wanting them to work on developing and crystallizing the lore, they've openly said for years that they have no intention of canonizing any lore at all. This was glaringly demonstrated with totk. And while I'm still going to grudgingly continue to buy the games, I just wish they'd give people what they want for once.
@@_sparrowhawk I'm glad that you're happy. Thanks for sharing your personal priorities as well, it's always interesting to hear different perspectives. Have a great day.
Instesd of drawing upon one specific culture, I think it should take two or three culrures and mix em up a bit. Im in favor of Al-Andalus with some Polynesian elements
Personally, I want the next game to NOT take place in Hyrule at all, and to not feature Ganon. But I would like the Triforce to make a return in a more obvious fashion than its vague maybe-appearances in the most recent two games. It has been a literal decade since we last saw the Triforce properly, and I would love to see it again in its full glory. I'd also like to see them take another shot at giving Link alternate forms, which has also been an absent feature for a full decade. The Ancient Hero's Aspect *sort of* does this, but it's not really a core feature and is just a cosmetic. On that note, I'd love to get a better look at whatever the Ancient Hero is meant to be, maybe flesh out his species beyond "weird furry that doesn't look like a Zonai."
If they ever make a new Zelda game I want it to still be the Botw and Totk version that shows Link and Zelda traveling to other lands for exploration while the sages stay keep Hyrule safe while they are gone and rebuilding at the same time. I hope it is a game where you can play as both Link and Zelda as a 2-player game while exploring different lands other than Hyrule that shows that Link taught Zelda how to fight with a sword like him and then the game would have shops to upgrade the gear, weapons, and armor for Link and Zelda while exploring different lands like for upgrading the master sword, you would have to find a rare material that's called a "Sacred Flame. A mysterious flame from a time long past. Legend says an ancient goddess had this material made specifically for a weapon she herself made." For Zelda's personal sword, you would have to find a rare material that's called a "Sacred Light Fragment. Everlasting light from 3 powerful goddesses from the hyrulean lands. An ancient blessing for those who possess sacred power to dispell evil." It would finally show Link talking to other people in cutscenes and showing the romantic relationship with Link and Zelda in the end. The save points would look like golden light beams with the Triforce symbol on the ground. The chests to find would be fragments to upgrade Link and Zelda's gear as they travel. The game would have quick time events to fight enemies, bosses, or to avoid collapsing areas. Link and Zelda would have to travel to different towns to find a big crew and a big ship so they can explore the sea and even underwater. The game would have a really cool cutscene that shows Link slowing a fall off a mountain with his master sword and Zelda grappling a ledge to grab with a bow she herself made. Any weapons Link and Zelda find would have labels that show how powerful they are like saying legendary, rare, or common. The game would show new creatures they have never seen before and some lands would show where the dragons of Hyrule come from. It would be cool if they added a scene where somehow Fi comes out of the master sword at last and she would be a valuable ally. If they make a Zelda game like I describe it would, with the romantic relationship of Link and Zelda be shown and they settle down in the end of the game, I would be proud of the work they did. This is how I imagined of what the new Zelda game would be like. Think about it. I always wanted to see the love of Botw/Totk Link and Zelda be shown. I would like the game be called "The Legend of Zelda, Dawn of Hyrule". Also it would be a game where they can fix the height of Link and Zelda. In Botw you can see scenes that show Link and Zelda are the same height but somehow in Totk it shows the height between those two have been edited and I don't like that since it should be Link that's taller and Zelda being the same size. Think about it. I've looked very carefully.
I appreciate the zeal fans have for games and movies and books, but there is a reason why fans don't make for good authors or game designers. I think we will move completely away from BOTW and TOTK in the next game. A different Hyrule. No post-apocalyptic land. Different relationships. Different characters. Maybe some recurring characters, but not a carry over. Maybe we don't even see Ganon in the next one. Open world would be great, but I think they go back to the temples design, with a Hyrule city you can explore, traditional boss monsters.
The concept artwork in the video is incredible! Personally I'd love to see a Zelda take on Shadow of the Colossus, having Link fight against titan bosses, especially if the games continue the open-world settings. The Divine Beasts, Colgera fight, Battle Taluses, and Molduga mini-boss come kinda close to emulating that feeling but were hardly a challenge. Imagine fighting a Talus mountain with an entire army of bokoblin on its back, or a ship-based divine beast armored with guardians. I also want to mention Nintendo's next gen launch is probably going to reveal the secret non-Xeno Monolith game that's been teased in concept art for the past few years. That's really going to show the power of the new console and the upgraded potential of what Zelda & other Nintendo games could possibly look like.
Got a big hunch here! The Ancient Hero's Aspect is the reward given to players when they complete all shrines. The reward isn't the high defense when upgraded since there's other setups with a higher total defense stat, but it's the hint the developers are giving players on what's to come. When you visit Pura, Impa, Cece, and other historians, they state that you look exactly like the first Calamity hero. As for the next story: "At this time, we are not planning to release additional content," Aonuma said to Famitsu (via VGC). "We feel like we have already fully explored and exhausted the gameplay possibilities in this world. Initially, the reason we decided to develop a sequel was because we believed there was still value in experiencing new gameplay within that particular Hyrule. If in the future we find a compelling reason, we may revisit that world once again. Whether it’s another sequel or an entirely new title, I believe the next game will offer a completely new experience. I hope you’ll look forward to it." In another interview, there's a hint that the next game will be a prequel in the storyline to BOTW/TOTK. That being said, it's a huge nod in both BOTW/TOTK that the next story would be a prequel and the rise of the Ancient Hero, who is most likely the first Link incarnation, a possible Garudo (red hair) + Zonai (race type) + Hylian (pointy ears) underdog that has to fully leverage the Spirit of Courage to overcome the First Calamity with the ancient guardians and divine beasts. Maybe because of the increased desire for Zelink that was missed out in TOTK, maybe this time Zelda and Link would actually have a more serious relationship to help overcome their trials together.
I like the sailing idea, I’d like to see that again done, I’d be happy with either pirates or Vikings. I would like to see it done using the current Link but outside of Hyrule. In the meantime, I’m hoping to see some HD remasters and remakes similar to Link’s Awakening.
Hey Konrad, I didn't know you had a brother. But about Zelda i think the team should focus on the missing games on the timeline after doing a Full Complete version of Ocarina of Time+Ura, how the game supposed to be like before they cut temples and other cut content from the game. I love Ancient Hyrule
The next Zelda should take place away from Hyrule, possibly with Zelda on a diplomatic mission with Link in tow as her guard. The story should focus on a new Kingdom being under siege by an invading force, forcing the diplomats and rulers of that Kingdom to be sealed away inside the castle until they can find a way to prevent the evil from taking the castle occupants. The entirety of the map should be covered in darkness or some dark fog trapping villages and towns in those areas. Villagers would be trapped in these dark fog shrouded villages/towns and could offer opportunities for side-quests. Such as; special town folk based missions; rescue the mayor, the forge smithy, etc. Some villages could be in more distress with villagers in large halls, homes that would need immediate aid as monsters or the dark fog taking over their town folk and sending them to the depths. These villages/towns would have an evil source somewhere in town to be destroyed and dispelling the dark fog. Additionally, the first village/town you save could be the hub for the game. I don't mind familiar enemies but would prefer to see all new enemy types and not just variations of the same ones. Flora - I enjoyed the collection of items/materials from BOTW/TOTK... I hope we see that here but definitely more ambitious. Fauna - More animal types would be great to see; Owls, Cats and Skulltulas would be cool an d there needs to be petting of domesticated animals. Weapons - I don't mind the new weapon system. But I think weapons could last a little bit longer and perhaps an upgrade system to allow them to last much much longer. *Additionally, there needs to be a way to allow the Master Sword to be the end goal of the game. Either you unlock pieces of it throughout the game and then have to power it up in trials that open up toward the end stages of the game to completely unlock its full power. No more bullshit Master Sword. If they aren't going to do that... just get rid of of the Master Sword then. It was completely meh in BOTW and TOTK. NPC interactions; these need to improve, better interactions and plenty of voice work. Enemy types: a variety of enemies needs to happen. And no more Yiga, you can maybe have a cult in the game that may be responsible for the evil coming in. Dark arts cult or a UFO cult that live in towns undercover or in the mountain tops with mysterious alien tech. Main villain: How about an alien threat, an evil goddess from the same race as Din, Nayru and Farore. A dying goddess that was sealed away and looking to rejuvenate herself with the physical Tri-Force. Maybe that is why Zelda is on that diplomatic mission there... to find out why that Kingdom has the physical tri-force and how and when they obtained it. Building up villages, I would love to see that more but be a bit more involved. Link shouldn't be the one finding material, but maybe he can clear out a forest near the affected village/town used to farm material from. Selecting and building your own place; there was an attempt to do that in both BOTW and TOTK but I would love to see more variety of designs that Link can do to select a location for his home and also house designs, with basement, multi-story, and after build enhancement like updating the roof, etc. Landscaping etc. Transportation; Link should have a variety of ways to travel outside of Zonai, Sheikah tech. Obviously a horse but let's bring back the Loftwing for later in the game, a boat that can be customized & upgraded/enhanced over time. Lore: Bring back the physical Tri-force in a big way and why it has been absent in the last two games. That is about as much lore I think we should explore. The lore has gotten a bit jumbled between the previous two games. That's all I can think of. No love story, please!!! 😖
I think the next game should be open world like BOTW and TOTK but have link go to the twilight realm or the dark world. That would be interesting. And give him the damn hookshot!
Breath of the Wild is still one of my most cherished gaming memories, and Tears of the Kingdom ate more hours of my life than I care to admit, but I am ready to step away from this type of Zelda game. While I appreciate the aesthetic and philosophical philosophy behind it, the emptiness of this Hyrule has stopped being charming to me. I want a Zelda game with depth to it. I want lengthy, well-crafted dungeons that are integrated into their landscapes. I want cities and towns that feel lived in, not the wreckage of a lost civilization. I want to fight more than 5 different colors of the same handful of enemies. Setting-wise? I'm not especially picky but I would like to go somewhere that feels different than the Hyrule we've seen in the 3D games so far. I'd like to go someplace that doesn't feel like a watered down ren faire. I would be interested in a Zelda game that really embraces the ocean or gives a taste of new places and new people to meet. And maybe let Link grow a beard, just a thought. ;P
It’s kinda in the same position as the Pokemon franchise is in. They will release games which will sell no matter what. The core fan base prior to botw won’t get what they want but the dev team just do what they want and don’t care for their history
@James441 and that's a good thing that the devs do what they want. If they would listen to the fans we would have gotten an other game with the same formula that was used for 25 years. It's time to change
I don't mean to be annoying in asking this, but I'm genuinely curious, what would you consider to be them "not caring about their history?" As someone who is a core fan who likes TotK while having my criticisms with it, I've just been confused about what prior history has been disrespected. I mean there are some nitty gritty details they don't really care about, like the sheikah tech stuff, but I haven't really noticed anything in game or in interviews that disregards / disrespects prior history, but maybe I missed something idk.
@@HylianSwamp123 Well TotK's story seems to totally retcon the whole founding of hyrule story in the original timeline, and has reused names/events from old games (like Rauru and the Imprisoning War) and repurposed them into totally different things does make it feel like they are rewriting Zelda history. Not to mention TotK barely acknolowledges BotW's existence.
Given the fact that Miyamoto had originally wanted to implement players creating and sharing their created dungeons, in the original Legend of Zelda on the NES, it would make sense that at some point we may see the release of a non generic, official Zelda dungeon maker.
Since Sidon’s wife Yona is from a different Zora’s domain, wouldn’t it be possible to explore other lands and regions with different cultures and regions that is unlike Hyrule? Plus, new races that haven’t been discovered. Ever since I played Windwaker, I had thirst of traveling around the world by ocean. I feel this would be the next step for Link and Zelda’s adventures.
Playing Dragonball Kakarot on the switch completely changed my expectations for voice acting in switch/console games. To me, voice acting should be a basic requirement these days. If kakarot can do it for like 90% of interactions, most major games should be able to do similarly.
So you are just going to ignore the huge Mexican influence over tears of the kingdom? The Zonite were clearly influenced by Mayan and Aztec cultures whether the Zonite gear that Link gets or the architecture itself. There were feathered serpents everywhere! Now THAT would be a great setting for a new Zelda game.!
No matter what it is, it's so exciting to see so many people wanting another game, with all the new fans being brought in from botw and tears.. Playing the franchise since 1987 with the first game, the Zelda team has never disappointed. And the love being poured in the franchise is beyond incredible. There are so many unanswered questions from these and previous games they could explore. I'd personally like to see the time of war mentioned in the Skyward Sword between Hylia and Demise which had "unmatched scale and ferocity, the likes of which would never be seen again".
The world of Hyrule is so rich and varied that there could be stories where you play as your own character similar to the elder scrolls where you can play as any of the few dozen races each with varying strengths and weaknesses with some being unable to explore certain regions due to the limits of their phisiology
I think that ToTK‘s story is actually pretty interesting. And I’m normally the Miyamotu-guy saying: „Who cares for story if the STORYLINE, gameplay, music and graphics is good.
I love that in the Zelda series every race has its own architecture. The hylians are vey ancient so the roman architecture makes sense, but i really like the medieval style of OOT.
One thing I would like to see more is books that expand the Zelda canon. That's one of my favorite parts of the Elder Scrolls series, and I would love something similar in the next Zelda.
Everybody knows it is a lie and Nintendo will try to make more profit from it 😂 Easy proof, at the game intro Link had 40 hearts + 3 full stamina wheels, as of now you can get 40 hearts + 2 3/5 stamina wheels or 38 hearts and 3 full stamina wheels. There are 8 more light orbs to get which can be added in a DLC for like 2 shrines per champion replacement or smth like that Maybe something like awakening Purah as the 5th sage after Mineru’s eternal rest. Purah’s glasses curiously resemble both the lens of truth and an owl and an owl is kinda what Mineru’s construct is based on
great video!! hope the figurine endeavor works well. these are cool ideas i hadn't even thought of remotely!! looking forward to seeing what plays out. i agree lol zelink has gone through so much in this era of the wilds, and even though they're my favorites and i'll be sad to see them go, i just want them to get their well-deserved rest lol 😭
If we get another open world I'd love to see a LoZ game that divorces us from being Link or tied to Zelda... Just imagine how much variation that could give our quests if suddenly we weren't just the Princess's champion but rather some knight apprentice or restructuring of the knights of Hyrule order, build something of our own "master" sword through quests(honestly i think weapon fusion and degradation should stay to a degree, keep the horns and late game have unbreaking weapons and "permanent" fusions, but otherwise we start with just pristine weapons and monster parts(well technically we start as trainees with sticks and rusty/travelers swords), but by completing trials to access Temples we get to infuse our preferred weapon with holy power to complete an endgame quest.
When Yona said that she cames from another domain, I thinked that was some kind of an easter egg, saying that are another kingdoms outside hyrule. And because of the vast destruction across the hyrule, maybe zelda and link departe to go outside the hyrule to get some help to restore the kingdom, and while crossing this new lands they encounter new challenges and enemies and by meeting the leaders of this nations, in exchange for help, they have to conquer some dungeons or clear the possible threat of that nation. With this, we see zelda acting like a queen in the part of meeting another rulers and we have the link following her as is supreme and divine protector, all this outside the hyrule. What do you think ??!!
I feel like the next game, usuing the extra power of the next system, will allow the Zelda team to do what they've been tinkering with for a long time: a futuristic setting. I wonder if they won't have some kind of a gimmick where you shift instantly from a future/techno setting to a past/medieval setting. Sort of an expansion on the mechanic used in Skyward Sword, but on a bigger, grander scale.
I have a theory concerning BotW and TotK that fixes all the issues that we all have concerning these two games. Commonwealth if you read this it will help. I'm going to issue it to MonsterMaze and a couple others as well. They are a dream. But more, they are the dream Young Link in OoT dreams while asleep for the 7 years while trapped in the Sacred Realm. The whimsical imagination of a child explains it all. As a child Link knows little to nothing about the Tri-Force so it wouldn't show up in his dream, but he had just spent weeks getting the Sacred stones of the Zora, Gorons, and Kakori. His first real encounter with Ganondorf is when he towers over Link when he's been knocked down by Zelda's horse, which explains why Ganondorf is so terrifyingly powerful, he scares the daylights out of Child Link, and why Ganondorf's and Zelda's horses are so large. Link probably saw the koroks when he was a baby, as their kakori form is just one of many that the Deku Tree picked to make Link feel normal as he grew up, as children of the forest their natural form is the korok form. He had learned about sages from Zelda but didn't know what that meant hence their unimpressive power in the dream. And the places that he loved or had visited were preserved or impressed into the dream but twisted in ways, Lon Lon Ranch, The Temple of Time, Hyrule Castle, the Lost Woods, Death Mountain, Zora's Domain, The Guerrudo Desert. As to the Ruto being in the games, what child doesn't dream of flying with the birds or talking with animals. The power of the Master Sword, being as weak as it is, is explained by Link not knowing the true power it holds. It being a dream even explains the mysterious disappearance of the Shieka Tech. That happens in dreams all the time. It just works to perfectly to not be it. THEY ARE JUST A DREAM OF CHILD LINK WHILE ASLEEP FOR SEVEN YEARS IN THE SACRED REALM!
At this point I just hope to see more remakes of older Zelda games. Maybe a new 2D Zelda as long as it doesn't do something like A Link Between Worlds with the item rental concept.
I would love to see a game or games that use sailing to other lands as a platform. Instead of Link and Zelda, just "ship" them together as king and queen but have a daughter who has the power of her mother Zelda and the fighting worrior skill of her father, Link. She is sent as an ambassador for Hyrul but gets caught up in an amazing adventure to discover herself and what it means to lead. Make her a new character without copying from previous games and don't call her Linkel. You could really expand on this idea and make this world so huge with each new game centering around traveling to new kindoms to ally with Hyrule to and End Game with an enemy like Demise.
0:55 I really want a trilogy. Even if it’s a different world I’m not ready to say good bye to this version of Link just yet. The zonai abilities and physics engine are INCREDIBLE. I really want to see them double down on this engine and create harder physics bases puzzles
I have thought of a valhalla style Zelda game where monsters live in hyrule and hulians have taken to the sea. Set thousands of years after Tears, all of the sky island feel to the ground, and new cities builts and destroyed on the land of old hyrule. They could also flood the current map and expand it to another continent and add a a lot of archipelagos. Imagine Zelda BOTW meet Assassins Creed Valhalla and Black flag, with touches of ancient greece and feudal japan mixed in. Art style should only evolve what they have right now. Reduce the cel shade, keep cartoon-ish characters and up realism for objects and the world around
Better narrative, realistic graphics (if it's possible), Zelda gameplay in underground, sky society instead of islands, underwater gameplay, a bigger different hyrule, more options to builds (not only zonai devices), more dungeons, voices instead of moans, no loading between entering and exiting a shrine, no loading in fast travel, new Link and Zelda but not as reincarnations (something similar to Jojo's transitions in jojo's bizarre adventure), more physics, new instrument, past and future gameplay, more endings, narrative decisions choice, romance system, multiverse gameplay (maybe).
I would like to see something fresh with the relationship of Ganondorf and link acc, maybe they are friends but turned enemy’s and another thing is I don’t want a ruined, lonely hyrule like botw. I want an active Ganon, who roaming around hyrule and active land, where everything is lively, multiple villages and active communities compared to botw.
Underwater gameplay, get rid of tablet/hand abilities and add spells and magic back to the games with a magic meter, a dark world version of the skies/ground/depths, a system that plays extra story cinematics in order no matter how you search them out, a proper tie in to previous games, and a master sword that doesn’t feel underpowered
I want more open-world Zelda-like Tears of the Kindom, but I really want to vist an all new land with all new peoples, cultures, flora & fauna, we know and have seen so much of Hyrule let's go someplace brand new.
I think I'd be interested to see a game that knits the timelines together into the converged timeline that BotW introduced. Maybe a Link from each timeline in different styles (Link's Awakening Remastered cartoony, Twilight Princess realistic and Wind Waker cell-shaded maybe?) working together against a threat that ends with their worlds combining? Well, maybe not but I dunno 😅
For the sequel of Tears of the Kingdom, I would like Link x Zelda‘s relationship to grow into a romance, bringing back the Triforce, Twinrova since she is not featured in Tears of the Kingdom , exploring other regions outside of Hyrule by ocean (since Sidon’s wife Yona comes from a different Zora’s Domain), the identity of the Ancient Hero, bringing back Kass, a well structured story that connects both BOTW and TOTK together, and to see our beloved pair become new rulers of Hyrule. But if Fujibayashi and Aonuma is planning to move on from this continuity, my hope is the next Zelda game have a much better established Link x Zelda relationship since these two have such a great love and chemistry that has been done in both BOTW/TOTK and Skyward Sword.
Hopefully the main villain will be Demise or a powerful Master Kohga ran under a more powerful Yiga clan. I also hope they have a new ancient advanced 0:56 tribe like the Lomei who uses red in their technology
@@commonwealthrealm Understandable. Though I feel do not want Link x Zelda’s relationship to change since Hidemaro Fujibayashi made them lovers after Skyward Sword. That a well established Zelink as I mentioned in my comment.
If the next game takes place in a new era, I would like to see a futuristic Hyrule (they could justify it by it being developed by Zonai Technology). It could be something like Blade Runner or Cyberpunk (without the adult themes) and would be a first for the series. I could see Purah returning seeing as she is effectively immortal. But personally? I'd prefer the follow up to continue following this version of Link and Zelda albeit in a new kingdom. And have this Zelda be playable. This version of Princess Zelda is my all time favorite and I really like this Link (although my all time favorite is Twilight Princess Link). The odds are likely that it'll be a new era but hopefully I'm wrong and we get one more tale with these iterations so that it can be a trilogy (no, Hyrule Warriors doesn't count).
Still waiting on a Link to the Past remake. I feel like Minish Cap was polished enough as it was. The Oracles would be nice to get remakes of, but LttP has been my favorite top down Zelda for a long time. A 3D water adventure with Zelda as a main character is a cool concept and I’d love to see the Zelda team make something out of it. I loved all these ideas and I wish we could have a game for all of them.
I'd love to see a Zelda set in any Japanese era of prosperity and if we must have a new Link and Zelda, please let one of them be a descendant of Wild Link and Zelda. Just like how Twilight is a descendant of Time
@@TheSpeedfoever What do you mean the dungeons are right this time? They might be slightly better than BotW's, but not by much. They're still far worse than the dungeons in the old games.
I would love to see future Zelda games with the breath of the wild formula but with a different art style and map I feel like botw and tokt have breathed in new life to the series and can’t wait for the future
Actual dungeons that take long & no stupid reward system would be great. BOTW & TOTK stressed me out as a big Zelda fan. All the top down & past 3d Zelda games are what MADE Zelda games as they are. The last two just felt like giant empty sandboxes & with so many plot holes in stories.
I definitely want a for the Zelda series Wind water and twilight princess HD in 4K A remake of ocarina of time in 4K A new 2d Zelda game celebrating 40 years of Zelda 🎉 And maybe the next big legend of Zelda game that is different.
We have an up coming Lego Zelda game. The Ocarana of Time 4k game is in the launch year window of successor. The port of Link Between worlds is coming to Switch
No I refuse to believe believe it is not! Who knows what they could discover outside of Hyrule? Besides Botw/Totk is more realistic and if we could do another game that has the same design it would finally show Link talking and the romantic relationship of Link and Zelda while traveling to other lands other than Hyrule. It doesn't need to have the same settings and character controls but it should at least have the same design.
It’s time. For the last of switch title let’s get a remake of the best loz game (OoT) and then kick off the next gen with a whole new link. I feel like it’s time, the hero of time deserves a whole new remake and some more love. Let newer fans experience the n64 hyrule on the switch and experience the nostalgia (or lack thereof) that us og loz players have been yearning for
4:21 no, such games take 5/6 years to develop, the next mainline Legend of Zelda will likely release in 2028/2030, a remake of a older 2D Legend of Zelda(Oracle of Age/Season) might come in 2026, but the next big open-air Legend of Zelda only in 2028/2030
They definitely have to do something majorly different from TotK and BotW. I think they should do Time Travel again, where at the end of each dungeon you travel to the same point in time to fight the final boss for a minute. By the end of the game you see all the past versions of Link fight the boss at the same time.
How do you think the Next Zelda Game(s) will shape up? Plus Get our Figurine, the first from my New Business Figime! figime.com/products/figure-commonwealth-realm
A well structured story, character arcs, world building, expanding the lore, and more importantly the relationship between Link and Zelda should be focused on after Tears of the Kingdom.
It would be a masterpiece if it was the last Botw/Totk version of their relationship being more personal and loved!
Agreed. They played it waaayy too safe with Totk story
Damn I wish this happened in a sequel for totk
@@blastZ41damn I wish this happened in a sequel to botw 😭
They need to do a time travel one like OOT but instead of traveling to the past or present, he can go to the future and into the “dark world.” Such as a world where the enemy grows their power.
Time travel should return, we got close in Tears of the Kingdom, but lacked time travel as part of gameplay not just story.
You just described OoT. That's exactly what you do in that game.
So twighlight princess?
While Tears was closer to what I hoped for, it still has room for improvement. Whatever the next game is, I am excited to see.
I think a third game could revolve around the ancient hero and the zonai civilization at its peak with large urban sprawl
I think that would make a good Hyrule Warriors game.
I could honestly care less for the Zonai, I'd love to see the deku make their well needed return as a race of people
@@thatonezeldaguy250exactly the Zonai weren’t even important in the story or lore, they just show up & don’t do anything afterwards
Pirate Ganondorf looks SICK.
I'd love to see underwater gameplay and a new game as a cross between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.
A pirate themed Zelda game would be fun. And they could find the Triforce in the Bermuda Triangle
Wind waker has some pirates vibes
Might as well rebrand it then. Zelda is the essence of Hyrule.
@@Subremedy Not always. Going beyond Hyrule every now and then is cool.
Yeah, Hyrule Warriors still rocks!
Yeah it sucks that they used AI :/
I want a massive open world 2D Zelda game next.
Happy to hear that to you, the least important of part of the game - the story - is your top priority.
I hope we get another banger game thats completely different from the others!
Zelda is always at its best when it re-invents itself! New characters, artstyle, gameplay and location!
On that note, I'd love to get a better look at whatever the Ancient Hero is meant to be, maybe flesh out his species beyond "weird furry that doesn't look like a Zonai."
i miss the classic zelda formula. i know they dont intend to do this though ☹️
I would love a Greco-Roman inspired game. Even one that would use Homer’s Odyssey as a template for the story, traversal, dungeons, enemies, etc,
I appreciate the zeal fans have for games and movies and books, but there is a reason why fans don't make for good authors or game designers.
True, we didn't see ganondorf for 17 years
The concept artwork in the video is incredible!
Loved the shop music while you were talking about the figure. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
And maybe let Link grow a beard, just a thought. ;P
i would like a continuation of the hero of time’s story before he became the hero’s shade.
It’s kinda in the same position as the Pokemon franchise is in. They will release games which will sell no matter what. The core fan base prior to botw won’t get what they want but the dev team just do what they want and don’t care for their history
Yeah that is the scary but also exciting part.
@James441 and that's a good thing that the devs do what they want.
If they would listen to the fans we would have gotten an other game with the same formula that was used for 25 years.
It's time to change
I don't mean to be annoying in asking this, but I'm genuinely curious, what would you consider to be them "not caring about their history?"
As someone who is a core fan who likes TotK while having my criticisms with it, I've just been confused about what prior history has been disrespected.
@@Zoltloz0_0 TotK reused the same exact formula as BotW
2026? I doubt the next mainline zelda will be out until 2028-2030+
How dope would it be to have a game based around link in his 30’s. Something grittier.
Except that wouldn’t resonate with the teens & kids who love Zelda
If kakarot can do it for like 90% of interactions, most major games should be able to do similarly.
i also played Dragonball Kararot on my switch too.
Whatever it is, it's possible that could be released with the next system. I know that's a bold claim but think about it.
We need some HD remakes next; WW and TP are on my list (HD as in Switch ports, yes I know there are already HD versions of these two)
4K Remakes on Switch 2 ;)
5:39 do two distinc Hyrule, one as a darker distopian a la 1984 and the past as a Hyrule fully reborn after the Great Calamity/Upheavel is done
I’d love to see you guys make a TotK theory about Kass.
That is what i like to know too. neither his children or his wife mentions Kass in TOTK.
A new 2d zelda would be amazing.
It is time, 10 years since A Link Between Worlds!
I think they need to take it to the sea and see link leave hyrule. Give us a game at sea while they develop a new “land” for the game after
I love that in the Zelda series every race has its own architecture. The hylians are vey ancient so the roman architecture makes sense, but i really like the medieval style of OOT.
One thing I would like to see more is books that expand the Zelda canon. That's one of my favorite parts of the Elder Scrolls series, and I would love something similar in the next Zelda.
I love the Forest, Fire, Water, and Desert Temple dungeons. I'd like to see Agahnim and Sahasrala characters return to The Switch.
There are 8 more light orbs to get which can be added in a DLC for like 2 shrines per champion replacement or smth like that
Maybe something like awakening Purah as the 5th sage after Mineru’s eternal rest. Purah’s glasses curiously resemble both the lens of truth and an owl and an owl is kinda what Mineru’s construct is based on
The next villain should be the Fierce Deity 🙏
great video!! hope the figurine endeavor works well. these are cool ideas i hadn't even thought of remotely!! looking forward to seeing what plays out. i agree lol zelink has gone through so much in this era of the wilds, and even though they're my favorites and i'll be sad to see them go, i just want them to get their well-deserved rest lol 😭
Great job as always!
Thank you! Cheers!
I said Zelda gameplay in underground but she would fit better in some kind of a "playable story/cutscene", something similar to Ciri gameplay in tw3.
I think we are done with this Hyrule. But who knows perhaps in a different Kingdom. Just like in the case of Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
"Modern/cyberpunk wouldn't work for Zelda."
The Shrines in Breath of the Wild had a very modern feel to them...
Link between worlds is literally that but more better
I don't know if I'd want an underwater dungeon in the sea. That would very likely trigger my thalassophobia
Maybe a little late here but with the new Princess Peach game coming out: An adventure featuring ZELDA would be freaking amazing!!!!❤❤❤
Old Man Link!
That would be cool.
I hope they do more, but I feel like we’ve just got another Warriors game coming, this time pre-TotK themed in ancient Hyrule 🤷♀️
the era of the wild has worn out its welcome quickly, we need actual dungeons and puzzles and not grinding for things that don't matter
Cooperative ZeLink gameplay, please! Zelda as the magic user and Link as the weapons user.
I'd love to see a Zelda set in any Japanese era of prosperity and if we must have a new Link and Zelda, please let one of them be a descendant of Wild Link and Zelda. Just like how Twilight is a descendant of Time
We need actual dungeons this time. They completely failed at this with BotW and TotK is barely any better.
Well the dungeons are right this time on totk so be happy with it
@@TheSpeedfoever What do you mean the dungeons are right this time? They might be slightly better than BotW's, but not by much. They're still far worse than the dungeons in the old games.
@@TheSpeedfoeverthe wind and water dungeons in Totk were no better than Botw's, possibly even worse
I definitely want a for the Zelda series
Wind water and twilight princess HD in 4K
A remake of ocarina of time in 4K
A new 2d Zelda game celebrating 40 years of Zelda 🎉
And maybe the next big legend of Zelda game that is different.
We always play as the same age Link, would be cool if they switched that up
I’d totally buy the Zelda pirate adventure! That would be crazy!
We have an up coming
Lego Zelda game.
The Ocarana of Time 4k game is in the launch year window of successor.
The port of Link Between worlds is coming to Switch
Playable pirate Zelda, underwater gameplay and an archipelago Hyrule is coming.
The “Wild Tears” era is over. It was a great one. Time to move on.
I still wish TOTK will still get a DLC or master mode update.
Start a fresh game with no armor. Done.
It’s time. For the last of switch title let’s get a remake of the best loz game (OoT) and then kick off the next gen with a whole new link. I feel like it’s time, the hero of time deserves a whole new remake and some more love. Let newer fans experience the n64 hyrule on the switch and experience the nostalgia (or lack thereof) that us og loz players have been yearning for
2d please! Hero of Men.
Yep, another one with him would be great.
I want to go back to a more linear approach. Unlock an item to use later in gameplay.
4:21 no, such games take 5/6 years to develop, the next mainline Legend of Zelda will likely release in 2028/2030, a remake of a older 2D Legend of Zelda(Oracle of Age/Season) might come in 2026, but the next big open-air Legend of Zelda only in 2028/2030
Imagine celebrating the 40th anniversary of Zelda with a remake of midracles and midseasons
I hope they give us a game for the story behind the Ancient Heroes Aspect
They definitely have to do something majorly different from TotK and BotW. I think they should do Time Travel again, where at the end of each dungeon you travel to the same point in time to fight the final boss for a minute. By the end of the game you see all the past versions of Link fight the boss at the same time.
