Ahh I just missed your live stream. It was great meeting you and getting to listen to your amazing new speakers in your incredible sounding listening room. These video sound demos just don’t even come close to how amazing your room sounds.
Thanks for the live stream. I would like to see you and Danny do a live stream discussing and showing the new speakers you mentioned. Looking forward to it!
I love the grunge era bands too, but grew up as a skate kid listening to punk rock and ska. Even got to tour the world for years for playing both types of tunes, which is still nuts to me. The music we listened to during our formative years is what we still love today. It’s engrained in us and still moves me on a fully emotional level. Thank you, Ron. Excellent livestream.
Hey, Ron. (Everything’s gonna be ok, Nicks here” You betcha!” 😂 Dude, you’re killing it. Being a busy dad and a top reviewer at the same time, AND…..making some time for other lovers of audio! 🙏 Thanks, man. Fantastic livestream.
The only DAC that supposedly hands down beats the Holo May is the Playback Designs MPD8 ‘Dream DAC’, but its 5X the price at around $24,000. So for most of us the Holo May is still end game good, and by far the best bang for the buck, in terms of sound quality relative to price. And I have issues with putting tubes in a DAC aka Lampizator, as it seems gimmicky to me, as tubes are typically added for pleasing distortion and not for enhanced A/D conversion. In my view tubes should be in the pre-amp stage and not in a DAC. But since I haven’t heard a Lampizator, I can’t actually say if its good or not.
I’ll take Auralic, Merason Reuss, Mytek and chord to name a few Agree about Lampizator. But after looking at their design and build. Looks like they know what they’re doing. lol.
All the best from Stockholm Sweden. Allways love ure content. And we share the same ideas in Hifi. Appreciate that you always respect people's different budgets. And that not everyone has a perfect listening room. But we all can do what we can for better sound. With what we have. And the room and speaker placement is very important But the love is just as great for us all if this hobby. That's something to tresure. And it would disclose the biggest part of us is everything focused would be only the most expensive stuff. And just as Danny often says. We oldies have a responsibility to the next generation to create interest and knowledge, and show better sound than mp3 smartphones. Annyway, I do my part, my daughter and I are in to DIY. Her interest and understanding for better sound are lighted . Continue being you, and I follow everything from you. All the best/ Jonny Stockholm Sweden
How the HECK did I miss this livestream ? My notifications are set to All - and my phone is within reach at all times. Ugh 😩 You and Danny talking about truly revealing audio clarity by replacing op-amps has me moving towards an outboard DAC (on a budget) like the Geshelli J3 with the Sparkos SS3602. Perhaps a standard Dayzee, upgrading as budget allows(8 Sparkos SS2590s would be another $1K). Ouch$$$ Back to earth, I could also consider entry level R2R ladder DACs like HoloAudio Cyan or Denafrips Ares 15th. Still looking forward to your full review of Clayton Shaw’s Caladans … Ron, Thanks for your methodical and unbiased approach to audio evaluation, and your excellent audio comparisons. Danny Ritchie has made me a believer too - thanks Danny ☺️🙏🏼
Missed the livestream, but I would really like to hear the update on the Caladans. It’s was a bit of a teaser and not your typical full review. Did I miss it somewhere?
Have you considered checking out the new speaker from PS Audio, the FR-r. I've heard so many great things about it but I ' like to have someone whose opinion I trust review it.
The best the best, the best for the price…. Audio hifi Propaganda . How do we prove that’s it’s the best and so forth? Measurements done by a computer 😅😅😅😅 I think they all base the “best” by the price tag on it. There’s a sucker born every minute 😅😅

Wow I missed this, do you have any update on your Fosi Audio trial?
Would be great content to see you and Danny discuss the new speaker on a live! 👍🏻

It would be nice to hear what your system consisted of when the old school NRD viewer was blown away. Great work Ron and great name, ha.

Thanks for the live stream. Look forward to these loudspeakers coming out you spoke of.
Thanks! I missed you Monday but I'm catching up now.
Could the opp amps in any of the Emotiva stuff be swapped out, or is the Emotiva stuff a totally different design? Thanks if anyone can help!

Such a great video!! Love tuour content…
Can these upgrade good vintage amps? Like Sansui au-719?
Just for DAC
Suggestion for electrostatic speaker. Dutch manufacturer Final, model FS 7, 11 or bigger. Greetings Rudi from Netherlands.
Ron, how do we "sign up" to receive notifications of the next time you have a Livestream? Thanks.
