Turn 1 is a genuine breaking zone, which is saying a lot for a K1 sized track and electric karts. I really hope the karts continue to improve so I can show it better (and give Tony a proper run at a victory)
Awesome, glad you guys had a good time! 😊 I don't have the exact laptimes, but if you guys got any high-21-second (21.7 21.8 or 21.9) laps in qualifying, then that'd be a great job for a first league event
im doing teen league and do you brake and turn at the same time or aim your kart to the apex then brake then power on throttle? and are those karts faster than teen karts?
The teen league uses the same track and karts. Turn 1 can be done with or without brakes, depending on the kart - I don't brake anywhere else. These karts are pretty heavy on engine braking (slowing down when coasting in a straight line), and on full throttle your turning angle really slows your speed down too.
@@AlexDevineKartRacing thank you because i think i’m over slowing losing about close to a second but everything else on track is decent for me for when I started
@@AlexDevineKartRacingalso ive just realized I was going 6 tenths faster like 3 months ago I think im just overthinking turn 1 because i’m trying to copy other people’s onboards exactly
Great race! Those hairpins, especially the first one, seem absolutely treacherous, looks really tough to get a hang of.

This was easily the best league I have watched, Justin’s new track record made it even better
Justin and Tony, bumper to bumper for 15 laps in the final was 🤌
Especially how Justin was closing the door on the straights at the perfect time
Try mine 😏@@LoganGoesKarting
It was our first league race! Had lots of fun, we’ll see you next month👍🏼

Yes me and Luis were in the 21.5-21.7 range. Still got lots to learn from pros like you! We’ll continue learning and push to those top 5 spots!
That's as fast as the karts have been the past couple months, and I really hope that set of karts stay this quick for next month's league.
Good race Alex
Thanks Phillip! Sometimes one corner is all it takes to lose it
Hey Alex I’m looking at buying a GoPro Hero 10 and was wondering what helmet mount do you have for yours?
I just have the adhesive mount on the top of my helmet. If your helmet has a chin mounting option, I'd do that instead.
