It feels like these newer model karts have better acceleration, so turn 1 here has an actual braking zone, and the esses at Mokena are comparable to Schumacher at Buffalo Grove. If Buffalo Grove upgraded their karts, then maybe Schumacher at speed 4 would need a hint of braking too....
@@AlexDevineKartRacing It's probably more of a lack of maintenance at BG, but I have found myself and some of the others using the brake a bit more often in Schumacher in order to get that forward weight shift. These ones at Mokena definitely look like they have a bit more pull (plus a pretty sweet steering wheel!)
Is that the latest model of the electric go-kart? The ones we have here in Thousand Oaks are at most five or six years old. Or is that the professional World Championship kart you're driving?
No, these are the newer model from OTL called the Superleggero. We got them in March 2023. The ones you are running are the older Storm model - Buffalo Grove IL still has them as well.
Probably some, as there aren't any weight restrictions or ballasts to even things out that way. How much weight does it take to slow you down a tenth per lap, all else being equal? I don't know that
Always a good time with you buddy! I was looking everywhere to pass. Deff a challenging one this month!!
Braking zones look crazy, sounds like getting it just right is a lot more of a challenge than at Buffalo Grove. Great race man!

good race, see u next month
Thanks Damien! You and Kreg were neck and neck in the final race, from what I could see.
Good race Alex, unfortunately my gp was bad this time, but hope I get better luck next month

Does body weight affect how fast you can go in these karts? Stuck in the mid 21s laps
