Topaz Studio 2 is one of my go to programs. If Topaz is going to abandon it, they should sell it to somebody that will make it available and keep it updated. It’s a fantastic program.
Please keep Topaz Studio 2. I have been using Topaz from the beginning.

Thanks for the video. I love the program, and it works fine on Windows 10. I emailed Topaz and asked them to update it. They said it was not part of their road map. I think if we all start to email them asking for the program they may take a second look at their road map.
I have been using Studio 2 for years. Yes it still works on Windows 11. I would like to see it get some well deserved attention.
Another great video, thank you. It would be a huge loss for the photography and editing community if this program disappears forever. The features it offers are completely unmatched by any other program out for this type of editing.

I have used Studio 2 for a long while, Topaz should both update and make it available again.
I agree Dave, Topaz Studio II is a very powerful tool for doing this kind of work...I use it a lot just for this purpose. Topaz upgrade this tool!

Another great video for Topaz Studio 2. I loved the final touch with the matt. Do you have a link for downloading this or have you created this for yourself? Maybe a video for the future as my efforts have been disappointing.
Still use it a lot. I cannot understand why Topaz have abandoned it. I wonder how many hours of development went into the great pieces of software that led them to combine the best of them into Topaz Studio 2?
There is a work around to use Studio 2 as a plugin on Apple Silicon systems without running Rosetta, needs a recent copy of On1 Effects or On1 PhotoRAW 2024 Max that runs native on Apple Silicon systems and can run plugins. Set this up so that it can run Studio 2 as a Filter. Then it is possible to call On1 Effects from Photoshop running native on Apple Silicon and then call Studio 2 as filter from On1 Effects. Use Studio as normal and then do double accepts to go back to Effects and then to Photoshop. Not ideal but works in my tests and saves having to remember to run Photoshop under Rosetta if you want to call Studio as filter with access to tools like TK9 on return to Photoshop.
Do you know if Studio 2 doesn’t work with Mac Sonoma? As soon as I updated my MAC, the filters in Studio 2 disappeared…impression is listed…but there’s no brushes shown and no effect is applied. I have used Impression since it was a stand alone product. One of my favorites. The Filters list is also empty. I’m bummed about Studio 2 not being updated. So yes, Hey Topaz Labs…as another photography teacher, I’d be demonstrating these tools if they’d make the program available again. Thanks for the inspiration Dave!
It works on my MacBook Air with an M1 chip and the Sonoma OS as a Stand Alone app. It will also work as a Photoshop plug in if I use Photoshop in Rosetta mode. Make sure you are using the latest version, Topaz Studio 2 version 2.3.2.
Thanks Dave. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it started working/applying the Impression filter again. Yay! I was gonna miss that! My iMAC is from 2020 so it's not requiring Rosetta for my plugins.@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly
I’m running it on my 2019 iMac with Monterey. I’ve been concerned about updating my system software for fear of losing studio 2. It works great with Monterey, but it seems inevitable that the Adobe suite will force system update at some point. That’s why I’m looking for an alternative. software for Topaz studio
Ken, sorry for the confusion. I thought you were talking about the next Mac Operating system, which will be Sequoia. I am using Sonoma the latest Mac operating system at this time and it does work with it. I will install Sequoia on my M1 Laptop Air when it comes out before trying it on my Intel iMac.
Great video. Is there any way of creating a look of thick paint? SAVE STUDIO 2 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you really drag up the Paint Opacity you will thicken the paint but probably not a super thick look.

Hello Dave, I understand that Topaz is not going to update Studio 2 and that it might not work on the Mac after the Monterey system software. Can you recommend any other software that has similar features? Thanks very much for your great tutorials!
Ken at this point I don't know of any other software like Topaz Studio 2.

@@kengoodrich5761 It does run on all the software after Monterey up to and including Sonoma. Sonoma is the current Mac OS.
What are we going to do if anything goes wrong with either the program or our computers?????????????????
We need an update.
It's a shame Topaz dropped Topaz Studio. I just don't know why they don't sell the product to another company who can see not only the value of Studio, but the profit that could be made from it.
