+Toarcade Quaid does not move that fast. Only Ian. I hold the high score on an arcade machine(at Ground Kontrol in Portland Or). I watched your video and tried multiple Times to follow your patterns but when I play the arcade, Quaid doesn't move nearly that fast. Ian is the only one that comes close.
+Bryan Iseli I don't see any difference in speed to be honest, and I just compared to both replays of Quaid and my own PS2 port of the game. This video was recorded by one of the best Japanese shooting game players (SYO) and results in a score very close to the current world record for Quaid (4.2m), adding additional doubt as to why he would have to cheat in such an obscure way.
+Bryan Iseli There is no way to adjust the speed for the character on PCB (not sure about emulation). SYO was the record holder for Dragon Blaze over many years, this run being ripped from the year ~2001 VHS tape if I'm not mistaken. He is also the player featured on X-nauts' unofficial superplay DVD later on with his 4,100,000+ score. Considering his background of being the world's best Dragon Blaze, Sengoku Blade and Gunbird player, I think we can trust him that no mods were used :-)

How about playing it without any mods? Cheaters never prosper.
+Bryan Iseli This video was taken from the arcade board. No cheats used. Not sure why you are so certain of your presumption...

can you adjust the speed setting at all? Maybe the speed on the Arcade is set slower. It is an absolutely impressive run though I must give props
