Michael Goldstein is notorious for his musical fakes. There is no edition of the piece that reveals what is by Borodin and what is by Goldstein. Until there is, I don't believe this is by Borodin. But if it is a fake, then it is a very good one. For comparison, you can listen to Goldstein's "Balakirev" (Impromptus for violin and piano) and you can believe that he composed the complete sonata himself.
