Hello Watchers! Steven here. Thanks for joining me on this special episode of Dish Granted with Andrew. I’ve explained this in a few other places, but this completes our 3-episode pilot season! Now we are going to take a look at how the show did and the check out the response to help us decide if we’ll renew for a second season. Moving forward, we will be bringing you more pilots from other creators as well - so please show your support for your favorite content by watching, sharing, & commenting. Thanks again and huge shoutout to our editing team (Anthony, Stephen, and Josh) who tackled this show. Y’all were the real genies!
i don't think you understand how much we need another season.
Please I cannot express how much serotonin this gives me
This show is amazing. You all did great with cooking and editing. Make sure you are all taking it easy and staying safe please, keep us all sane during these times. This series gets a million gold stars, you all have earned them!
dis show is so pog!!!!!! its gotta have another season :0
Please!! We need a second season of this!!
shane and ryan: *asks for relatively normal foods*
andrew: S'MOYSTER
AND WE DELIVERED
@TK Wallace omg sir you just went and hid this gold in the replies 😂
On the one hand, I love Andrew's imagination and that it allowed Steven to be so creative. On the other hand, if Andrew had seen the other two episodes first, would he have "wasted" this chance to have a truly amazing meal? What would this ep have looked like if Steven had tried to make an elevated version of Andrew's favorite food? Would it be that much harder to get to that level based on the amazing dishes they'd shared in the past? He should come back again in a future season so we can get answers to these questions!
All that said, I am truly, truly blown away that an episode about oyster s'mores ended with "I'm honestly shocked at how not-gross it was." Steven must have truly magical food powers to have been able to swing that.
PLEASE KEEP MAKING THIS SHOW
The more I think about it, the more I feel that "favorite food, but elevated", "favorite food, but elevated", "ABSOLUTE BONKERS REQUEST" would be a fun format for future seasons of this show!
@@aerocarnie I think part of it though is just that he has been that Worth It cohost, he has eaten practically everything, asking his cohost to make something truly weird fits.
I like how Andrew just habitually said “cheers Steven” before he took the first bite when Steven was actually not eating with him.
They’re so cute together ❤️

i did not know i needed to be aware of this :')
It made me smile. I hope they continue with Worth It.

That should be a shirt design for the show.
Steven should get a gold star stitched into his apron after each one he receives. Then you could see his progress through out the series.⭐

They should make iron on Dish Granted gold stars!
Love this!
For sure! This one in particular is tough ☝️
that’s such a good idea
SO EXCITED!! I LOVE THIS SERIES PLS RENEW

@@kawawangkowboy9566 Did you forget about puppet history? I mean, I still think this is a good show though, one of my favorites.
This makes me believe that Steven would be the ultimate friend.
Remember when he couldn't even make friends

I said it before and I'll say it again, Steven is the MVP
everyone needs a steven in their life
The fact that the S'moyster was not only edible, but palatable for Andrew to take multiple bites shows Steven's true genius in research, advice-seeking, creativity, and pure chutzpah.
Awesome thought and care goes into each time he creates a dish for his friends. I love this show!
What’s chutzpah

A heroic and brave undertaking!

Ryan and Shane were nearly in tears over how delicious and thoughtful their dishes were. Andrew's "not bad" was entirely because he picked a weird ass thing and it didn't turn out super gross. Kudos to Big Apple Steve.
Two years old, over 1k likes, and still no comments? Wow. Let’s change that😏🤌
The thing I like the most about this show is the effort Steven makes to come up with the dishes, talking to chefs doing research to make it the best dish possible, even tho he doesn't know much about cooking I feel like he's learning a lot with each episode, I really hope this series will continue :D
Same! I love to see him learn something new each episode and getting better and better as well as making them so happy at the end of each video.
Same!
I agree!
Yup so clear that he did tons of research!
Hell yea ghost trick!!!!!
He managed to not fuck up something as crazy as this.

Andrew said "cheers Steven" even though Steven wasn't eating with him purely out of habit 🥺💕

Steven: Baking hates me!!!
Also Steven: Doesn't show any regard for measuring or precision that is often necessary for baking.
I've heard from great chefs that guesstimating your measurements often creates the best dishes!
@@oddlittleduck1 Keyword: baking, not chefs. Baking needs a lot of precision because it's more based on chemistry and certain reactions etc
@@user-ph3ji8gp3p I agree yes but when you’re a beginner you should still follow a recipe cause you need the basics and structure to know what it is your looking for. There’s a reason there’s a difference between cooking and baking. Cooking you can be more carefree, while Baking relies more on science and how things react to get the texture you want. So while I think Steven is doing great, I just think it’s a little silly to make a claim like this while also not paying attention to the nuisances often needing for baking
Julia's right.
that’s hilarious to me bc he was a chemical engineer you’d think he’d know the importance of precise measurements😭✋
Andrew really threw Steven a curveball with his “dream” dish but STEVEN DELIVERED and we are so proud of him. I mean... i would eat a S’moyster. It’s a thing now because Steven MADE it a thing. He made something that did not exist before, exist. That’s real magic right there!
Andrew’s episode is literally “what do you get for the man who has had everything?” And I’m here for it. Can’t believe the season is over already! The people demand more!

steven and andrew & ryan and shane are two ends of the spectrum of best friends lmao
S’moyster sounds like a pregnant woman’s craving 🤣
as andrew has proven before, he does indeed have the same cravings as a pregnant woman
I am pregnant and the idea of a s'moyster only worsens my nausea. Still, love the show!
This show is perfectly suited to Steven's style and personality. It has elements of challenge, knowledge, growth, and it's all centered around food and friendship. It's engaging to see if he pulls it off, especially with this dish, but regardless of whether it tastes good, the effort is always present. The editing adds to the chaos of cooking/baking/trying something new and serves as a perfect complement, while also highlighting the realistic challenges of cooking that the audience can relate to. I really love this show and this episode in particular demonstrated the potential directions it can go in the future. I subscribed to Watcher because I knew Buzzfeed Unsolved, but I enjoy watching Steven and love seeing his content. Dish Granted is one of my more eagerly anticipated Watcher shows. Really hope it gets renewed and that there's a season 2, keep up the great work Watcher team!
Jup same here, could not have said it better. This Show got it all. It's chaotic, strangely wholesome and funny. And somehow i also feel like i learned something.
I also subscribed to Watcher cuz I was a fan of Shane and Ryan on Buzzfeed Unsolved. But I started watching the Worth Its and those are great too (Andrew and Steven are a good team). I would recommend checking them out, especially the ones where they travel abroad. I’m just a sucker for travel and food, so put them together and it’s always fun times.
Love all their content on Watcher, but Dish Granted is definitely one of my favs. ❤️
@@IsThisThePrizeIveWaitedFor After Watcher, I did go and watch Worth It. I agree with you, Andrew and Steven are great together, and I always love how Adam is included! The travel involved episodes were interesting to watch in that they presented more aspects of culture and how it relates to food, and I think one of my favorite elements of Worth It was always learning how the chefs and restaurateurs had gotten into food. A lot of risk takers in that business, and it was inspiring.
really well written; thank you!! i'm seconding this ~
I've never met steven in real life but honestly?? he seems like one of the nicest and most genuine people i've ever seen. He's so sweet when talking about his coworkers and even when andrew was like "make me a s'moyster," steven was just "okay buddy we're going to do this or die trying"
as a home chef, i just want to lovingly grab steven's shoulders and go "it’s ok to have cracks in your dough!!! add a teaspoon of liquid when needed! it’s gonna be okay!!!"
ME TOO AND ITS. ITS NOT AS IF I DONT GET THE EXACT SAME WAY IN THE KITCHEN BUT KNOWING WHERE HES AT INSPIRES SO MUCH COMPASSION IN ME…. I WANT HIM TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH MAKING MISTAKES
This show only consists of 3 episodes so far but it is the most wholesome show I have ever watched and I love it with every fiber of my being
Steven running out of space when writing "S'moyster" then having a small "R" is so underrated

Totally agree!
I couldn't relate more, that's me whenever I've to write a topic name on a chart/sheet in bold capital font n' end up leaving no space for last couple of letters😂n got to erase all that n start over again!😑
It’s a John Mulaney bit, lol.
BIG-ASS B!

The way steven's not a pro homecook but making EVERYTHING from SCRATCH is blowing my mind. His dedication is amazing
Tony is honestly a breakout star in this show 😂😂

Shane: $300 Mac n cheese
Ryan: $450 tacos
Andrew: $60 s’mores
@@DanielDanger420 truffles and gold flakes
Kinda anti-climatic right? I mean, i love this, but ryan’s tacos might’ve been a better season finale ep
@@beegimena. yeah, that’s what I was thinking; Ryan’s dish would’ve been a better season finale. The s’moyster was the coolest concept, yes, but it was a bit anti-climatic, and Andrew just said that it “wasn’t bad”, which makes me a bit sad.
i mean, you know. less is s'more.
Beat me to comment this 😂
“Simba you can’t have this” every cat owner can relate
"But it smells like MILK!"
Y’all better not cancel this show. I love it and it balances out the spooky stuff from the ghoul boys.
I am not gonna lie, S'mores and oysters sounded so disgusting that I am thoroughly IMPRESSED that you made it edible and even got Andrew to say that it tasted good. When they say you're a food genie, I just want you to know that you definitely deserve that title lmao
Also, love how creative you are with making them all! I really love your show ❤️️
So glad a filipino watches this too... I thought I was alone ahahah
@@edmarcolajato7738 lmao you'd be surprised at how many Filipinos actually enjoy watching Steven's content.
The original one that Steven made was funny, but when he made the actual smoyster, that was looking pretty good and creative. P.s. I don't know if I spelt smoyster correct
Leaving a comment is a weird source of anxiety for me but I want to be supportive! Here’s to a second season! Validate my anxiety!
*validation fist bump*
I'm also so happy that there is a second season!!
No cause same comment anxiety is realllllll
I love how Andrew is relatively young. But talks like a supportive father in any video he’s in. Even the older buzzfeed worth it videos.
Andrew is older than Steven and has been at buzzfeed longer than Steven but I really love how they both were quiet when they first started and now they have come out of their shell and are very communicative
"I'm honestly shocked how not gross it was."
Us too, Andrew. That was a weird request! But definitely made for a fun video!
We absolutely need more of this series. Andrew wasn't as excited as Shane and Ryan were but to be fair he had a crazy concept which could have gone so wrong, so you did well to get a "not bad" from him. But this needs to be a regular series cos it's such a neat idea
Also Andrews not as expressive as the other boys
@@jostewart3192 Yeah, Andrew is pretty low key. Not as much as Adam, but a couple steps up.
Watcher in general is so aesthetically pleasing but Dish Granted is like a whole other level. So well made. Steven is so wholesome and Tony provides the perfect balance of comic relief. Love it!
Just the fact that Steven presented a dish where that combination of ingredients looked normal on a plate is an achievement. I was looking at it thinking, "Yeah, that looks like something on the menu at a rich person camping retreat."
we need more episodes because this is a cooking show that truly stands on its own. I know other people do elevating food videos but Steven's train of thought and process is so unique and the creations are so original. Love to see more.
Agree, seeing Steven developing a dish is fascinating!
I love it that Steven adds customized personal touches depending on the person he is cooking for like the Jaws taco holder for Ryan and pie crust for Shane.
"I can't blame this on simba, it's not his fault...but I wouldn't have done this if it wasn't for him" LOL
I like that Andrew trolled himself out of a super gormet "normal" dish, but Steven's pain was a good cosmic balance.
Andrew managed to out-crazy Steven and that's friendship folks
Poor Steven, he is like the world's most stressed cinnamon roll. Bless his heart, he tries so hard. His mom sounds like a southern mama when it comes to cooking for other people, lol. Can relate there. I give Steven mad props for cooking something that essentially didn’t exist. He made some bold culinary moves and it was fun to see him come up with a S’moyster off the top of his head. Please do a second season.
world's most stressed cinnamon roll, awww he is! And I love every bit of it!
I feel like Andrew is the only one who believed in Stephen. Shane: Mac & cheese. Ryan: tacos. Andrew: I like complex flavors and ideas and I want a made up dish. He really challenged him to his fullest.
Or did he set him up for failure? 🤔 lol
WARNING: I accidentally did that thing where I tried to write a simple comment and wrote a whole essay instead 💀Sorry
I don't think it has anything to do with belief, just that Andrew is a foodie and Ryan & Shane aren't. Shane thought "what's my favorite food? Mac n cheese" and that's it. He even stated he didn't realize he had so many opinions about mac n cheese until stephen started questioning him about it. He also claimed he didn't care about presentation, only to realize how happy it made him when stephen presented the mac n cheese as a pie. Same for Ryan: he just picked something from his childhood. He literally didn't even realize just how complex a taco could be and got pretty emotional when he saw how above and beyond Stephen went for him, combining his childhood fave with his current fast food fave. Then there's Andrew who has traveled around and tried all types of food. He's the definition of "what do you get a man who has everything". So of course is first idea is something that hasn't even been invented yet.
I wonder if it's also because they both went on their foodie journey together on Worth It? So Andrew and Steven's palates have both been challenged by the same cutting edge, highest quality in international cuisine. And from what I've seen of Andrew's tasty stuff, he also from personal experience how someone who doesn't really cook can challenge a really ambitious project, so it makes sense that he challenged him/believed in him.
Lol. Yeah, I can definitely get behind both of these ideas. It was more of a tongue and cheek comment.
And I hate it. Seriously don't like this episode, because of what he requested.
Imagine Steven's neighbour, heard him went "Aahhhhhhhh" like 5 minutes straight, probably wondering what the hell happened lol
I love how Andrew is challenging Steven’s creativity
PLEASE make a 2nd season!!! Tony the camera man needs his dish granted
YESSS TONYY
I love that Andrew really tapped into the nature of the show, asking not for necessarily his favorite dish but just something he'd like to see granted!! Kudos to Steven for pushing the boundaries!!!
Steven's willingness to do the amount of research he does once he's settled on his recipe is impressive. I don't make any fancy dishes, but even if I'm just kind of experimenting with food, I tend to trust my instincts. I don't think I'd fare as well as Steven does with more involved dishes. This is a real fun series.
i love how steven did the thing where you write a heading too big and run out of space by the last letter on smoysters. it really is a universal experience
Steven deserved that gold star because the fact that he managed to make something edible from this bonkers request is a testament to his commitment and skill and there's only so much that Andrew can blame _him_ for lmao
.....so you're telling me, out of Shane, Ryan, and Andrew, Shane and Ryan were the ones who didn't come up with troll dish ideas?!
The way he said "You shouldn't be nervous" in an attempt to reassure him🥺🥺. What a sweet friendship.
I’m really impressed that Steven actually managed to come up with anything edible, that alone took so much tactical thinking 😂 I actually want to taste the final product
steven basically censoring himself cursing is just so innocent (f, f, f)
I laughed my ass off when Andrew said "It's not bad. It's really not bad," because right there is a very genuine Andrew talking to his fellow gourmet enthusiast, Steven.
1. We need more seasons.
2. We need Andrew back for a future season where he requests something less gross and Steven makes him the best thing he's ever eaten.

I hope this show is renewed for further seasons. I actually never really looked into this channel until Dish Granted drew me in. There’s just something about Steven and his friends that’s so oddly comforting to watch!

Upon hearing the theme for the dish, my first reaction was that I would have gone w a graham cracker crusted fried oyster w a marshmallow-mole dipping sauce, but tbh i think Steven killed it and made something truly original! I dont even like oysters and i wish i could try his final product!
i will forgive andrew for even thinking of the s’moyster for being on the show and us getting a mini reunion from the worth it gang! but man what is in his brain cause that doesn’t sound good at all 😰
true! and he probably just wanted to try it out rather than “this is my favorite food ever” lmao i wonder if he’ll try it again after this.
Seeing the stuff he brought to the snack swap with rie... i guess it makes sense...
Andrew coulda picked anything he wanted, anything that he liked, but he chose the most ludicrous of foods. But, even so, Steven managed to pull it off
Andrew was in Eating your Feed so he’s probably thinking about that kind of challenge.
Steven’s little gasps and twirls when he had an idea or forgets about something give me life lol
When Andrew started describing his food dish idea, with how he introduced the s'moyster I legit started to hear the WTNV opening music.
But all jokes aside, this series is amazing, all 3 episodes were just very fun to watch, and heartwarming, so I sincerely hope it gets some more seasons
