Steven's entire vibe in Dish Granted is about making food that makes his friends happy, and that's the essence of cooking. Wish we could taste the food he makes because it all looks so good, especially this one.
When Keith was listing things you could put on fried chicken at the beginning, I was expecting him to shamelessly plug his hot sauce, and he didn't. Then Steven did it for him at 15:40. What a great friend.
I love Steven doesn’t just make a dish. He tries to make it thoughtful. Like turning Mac n cheese into pie. Making a wagyu Gordita crunch. Creating 2 versions of oyster and s’more. My favorite thing that people say on this show, and so many have said it, is "I didn't even know this is what I wanted." That just shows how good Steven really is at elevating dishes beyond the standard.
So many cooking shows rely on chefs having to compromise or work against some wrinkle that's been introduced, and while I do think it's exciting watching cooks have to problem solve, I really wish there were more shows like this where the chefs get as much time/money as they need and get to just...have fun cooking! i love how personal and wholesome each episodes, especially how you just share lovely things of the person you cook for, and just genuinely wanted to show them gratitude and love. You can just cook a basic thing with love, but you constantly went all out. Please don't stop this show bro
Steven waxing poetically about marriage when he recently got engaged had me SO tender. You go Steven!
He got engaged?! Congrats, Steven!
I love the contrast of him and the ghoul boys. I enjoy both whole heartedly. There's something so wholesome and therapeutic to see him cooking.
COMFORT SERIES IS BACK...DISH GRANTED I MISSED YOU
I love this show so much because it's so sweet and thoughtful and it's rly heartwarming to see all the care planning steven puts in what he makes.
This was such a pleasant episode to watch. Steven seemed genuinely confident and was still so humble when gentle Keith commended him on how good it was. Such soft and pure energy. Loved it.
Kiano saying “it’s just food” is really affirming and calming to hear. even just cooking for my family stresses me out even though i love cooking because i want them to love my food. the truth is, it’s just food. it’s good, it’s nutritious, it’s ok. steven is incredibly talented for being able to try only a little bit and nail every culturally different dish, that’s some wizard sh*t. also, seeing men love their friends so openly is so refreshing and adorable
Steven’s way of subtly letting the world know he’s engaged in this video lol
oh dang he's engaged? Good for him, good for him
I always love how much thought goes into these. It really is granting a wish people didn't even know they had and that is really true friendship.
also...imma need to make a cali trip for this fried chicken pop up!
I absolutely love how chef Kiano was so calm and collected trying to comfort Steven by saying it's jusstt food.. i lovvedd her!!!
Keith and Steven are both such a joy to watch. I’m so glad they have the following they do.
Steven’s initial chicken drawing made me cry and Keith’s reaction dried my tears
I love how excited Steven gets when he cooks for his friends. He genuinely wants them to have a good meal. He's so wholesome.
