What settings did you use? I always have my burns either to strong or weak and the grains of wood show to severely. I’m assuming that pine isn’t good for detailed pictures?
Hi I got it done by a friend. I am not fully sure which setting was used. As for detailing in pine I love it, because of the soft and hard wood it creates a tipe of wave effect it the engraving. Also with the dark engraving adding to the light background I personally think it works. Laser Engraving in any type of wood will give you the effect it depends in how much layers of hard and soft wood there is. So if you would like a solid engraving same depth through, I would suggest looking for pieces of wood with the least layers.
You can stain the wood but I prefer not to. Reason being the colour and texture of the wood looks alot better. You can use a darker wood yes I only used Pine because of the texture it gives

What will happen if you use a little bit of a darker color? Won't that also give it a little darker look?
