      @@douglastaggart9360 No, I work a 9 hour 15 minute shift, starting at any time of the day. Week of early ones starting any time from midnight to midday, followed by a week of lates starting anytime from midday to midnight. I’m in control of up to 600 tonnes of machinery, with as many as 1000 people behind me; do you think I should be on minimum wage? Or do you think I should be paid the same, relatively, as I was five years ago?

    • @knackeredrovers
      @knackeredrovers 21 день тому +2

      @@saran.gandhi It’s not that hard. I am on a little over £50K, so I would have to work twice as many days in a year than the 208 my contract mandates in order to earn £100K. That’s not to mention the fact that if I wanted to double my take home pay I would have to work even more than that to offset the extra tax.

    What has been the increase in dividends the train companies have paid to shareholders?
    The increases paid to the company executives.
    5% this year after years of 0% and 1% pay rises will still mean the thecworkers are still behind the inflation rate and the increases in average wages.
