Miracle Whip? Mayo? I love them both! I like to make my mayo in my Vitamix with the aer disc. Works like a charm! I also like using half butter & half bacon fat. Nom-nom-nom! 🥓🥓🥓
Admittedly have spent some bank on the shelf-stable 🔥branded mayonnaise that doesn’t have soy and/or seed oils in it… not anymore. 🙏🏻✅ Looking forward to this amazing recipe and #KetoHack 🫙
Team miracle whip, 100%. I think its because I grew up wit it and nothing compares to that sweet/vinegary taste! Saying that I have had to switch to mayo, because of Keto. I am sure going to try your version of the miracle whip, hope it lives up to my hopes and dreams! Then Ill be back on my devilled eggs, keto version!
I am so glad you did a new version because this is so much shorter and easier to watch! 💪🏻I made two batches that of course came out wrong. I made my own butter and that might’ve been a problem. This time I used Kerry Gold, did your technique and it came out great! You both look great! 🤩
Wait what!? How can it be better?! It's already sooooo good! I grew up on Miracle Whip because my Mom loved it, but I'm in the mayo camp now! BUT of course I will try the Miracle Whip version!
I just did this and it tastes amazing. Haven't even put it in the fridge yet. I made the mayo, so I can make myself tuna fish to eat, without bread for now until I make your carnivore bread. I used regular white vinegar, 2 sticks of salted butter, three 1/4 teaspoons of pink salt, 3 teaspoons of Dijon mustard, 3 teaspoons of white vinegar and the 2 eggs split just like you said. I measured those amounts exactly. And to me it tastes perfect! Thanks for your thorough instructions and videos. It is going to help me add foods back in that I've not been able to have on keto/carnivore. My first thing I made was keto /carnivore ice cream. I make a big batch to freeze for my Ninja creami cups. 12 dozen eggs (yoke and white), 1 quart heavy cream, liberally salted (probably at least 2 tablespoons), 1 big tub (quart size, I think) of Ratio brand vanilla yogurt, one 9 oz jar of 4th & Heart Ghee (clarified butter) and 4 tablespoons of pure vanilla extract. It's awesome.
I grew up on homemade mayo, soooo I just prefer good old fashioned homemade mayo.❤😊 Gonna try this today... my hubby loves our homemade mayo... I also add a teaspoon of whole grain mustard [ yes you guessed it- homemade as well] and there we go.... Thanks Chris for all these recipes! And for sharing your journey! Blessings ❤
Thank U!! Making my own deviled eggs for our Easter dinner ❤ . Yes,my aunt will bring her famous/traditional deviled eggs, but I’ll have enough for those who don’t think I will die with clogged arteries (haha, looks like my Dad will be the only one 😂) Thanks again for all u do!

So....This works, even for the Breville control grip immersion blender, which is too large to fit in any normal container or mason jar and also the blade sits up high. I was so skeptical, but I new I could just double it if I needed to so I went for it. I had all the problems I expected. The blades and egg yolk barely made contact. So I tilted my container so it would and I blended them up as best as I could. Then I slowly added the butter, not the easiest thing at that angle. And when I was done it was still more liquidy that I am used to, or expecting, but...a couple of hours in the fridge and it was gorgeous!!!!! I have never been able to make mayo with the Breville that used anything less than 2 whole eggs before. This is a game changed for me. And I loved the flavor. I made some over the weekend for a beef carpaccio and I have been dipping everything else I cooked since. Yummy!
I grew up with both mayo and mw. Definitely will try this recipe! I use both acv and lemon juice in the mayo. I think it makes it taste more like Hellmanns. BTW, this mayo recipe makes superior blue cheese dressing! I add in crumbled blue cheese and a pinch of dill and garlic powder at the end and give it a stir. The warm mayo melts the flavor through out the dressing! So good I can eat it on a pork rind like a spread!!!!!! Thanks for the recipe Chris!!!!❤
I also can't enjoy avocado mayo and choose to be stingy with MW. I would ask how you would tweak this for the MW flavor because I grew up on Dukes but switched to MW as an adult.
As a kid, I loved Miracle Whip, but as I got older, I changed over to regular mayo. Now for the last several years, I've only eaten avocado mayo. It took a little while to get used to, I'm still not in love with the flavor, but I knew it was healthier than the store bought mayo made with soybean oil. This looks amazing! I'm excited to try it. Thanks!
Two questions: 1. Does the egg need to be at room temperature? 2. Does the butter mayo turn runny again as it warms up out of the fridge or in your recipe? Thanks for the info. Will definitely be trying this when I get the chance!
The egg doesn’t have to be room temperature at all. The mayo will be very soft at room temp but not runny. If you put it in a hot recipe it will start to melt like butter but stays a little thicker than butter still. Hope you enjoy. 😊
I started to make it wrong and then scrambled to thicken it up before refrigerating. 🥴 It definitely separated. The next day I broke up the butter and got it all in the nutribullet. You may need to pry the butter from under the blades a few times, blending again between. It came out fine. Big win even though I wasn’t paying enough attention.
I've been keto for about a year now but thinking about jumping into the carnivore pool. I normally make my mayo with avocado or olive oil, but I am definitely going to try this next time.
I used to prefer miracle whip… but once I went carnivore… I’ve been buying mayo. I am now going to try making my own butter mayo. I hope it’s delicious. I just started this journey in July 2023. 🎉
@@ChrisCookingNashville thanks! I'm looking forward to further cutting out seed oils out of my family's diet. Oddly they won't just eat ribeye and eggs everyday like me 😂
I have made this so many times & it never disappoints! I was team Miracle Whip for yrs., but later decided it was too sweet for me. This is a great recipe for those MW fans. 👍🏻 I love Mel to pieces…Ok. You & your recipes, too, Chris. 😀🐾 Hi Ash! 🙋🏻♀️
Absolutely Miracle Whip. My ex said he hated it, however when I included it in something, like tuna salad, he would rave about it and ask what the secret was. 😂
Dude, you are a genius in the kitchen. I love to cook, and have been missing doing so when we went carnivore. Dont get me wrong, i love grilling and smoking meat, but with your recipes, I can have a little more fun on our health journey.
I made it today and it is so good! So, when some people say that it never thickens, the cause could also be the age of the eggs they use. After all, the whites break down pretty quickly and become very watery. I used an egg that was laid this morning, and mine turned out nowhere near as runny as yours prior to refrigeration. In fact, it was almost perfectly thick. After several hours in the fridge, it did not get hard as I feared it might become. It was creamy and wonderful ❤ I believe that you were 💯 correct during your bacon grease mayo video when you suggested that it was to do with the protein structure in the whites and when they are added, which prevents the hardening. So, my suggestion is that when the egg is separated, if the white is watery and not gelatinous, use less of it or more butter.
Oh yes, I’m team mayo. As a child could never understand why I loved sandwiches out but never at home. It took me so long to realize that my parents used Miracle Whip and not mayo
I've been using 2 tsp. lemon juice instead of ACV, I like the taste better. I tried using the yolk and white at the same time but it turned hard as a rock so never again lol! Thanks for the awesome recipe Chris!!
I’ve never successfully made butter mayo without breaking it - I may have an issue with patience… actually stopped by to say I checked out Ash’s music and she’s great!
Wow! Miracle Whip! I am so excited to try it. I grew up with it and I have a jar of bought in my fridge right now. Out it goes! I don’t care for mayonnaise so I don’t make it or buy it. Your recipes are so great. Thank you for all you do!
I grew up with miracle whip. But, I’ve discovered mayo in recent years. I’ve found out that mayo is 100% always better on hot sandwiches. Miracle whip IMO is better for any salad that calls for Mayo. It’s stickier and isn’t nearly as soupy. My mum makes a monster pasta salad with it. 😂😂😂
I can only get it to be spreadable when I separate the egg and add the egg white at the end. Always spreadable! Have made it several times. It is the best. Thank you. I think I will also try the Miracle Whip style.
Love your spreadable butter Mayo but had to put it in the blender again after the fridge, think I added the butter too quickly. I have to try the miracle whip recipe.
Another home run! I made this for my family and they loved it. I made a couple of small changes. I used a combination of acv and white vinegar with a tiny bit of lemon juice. I also added paprika. My husband told me to make it in bulk! I hope to eventually try all of your recipes.
The explanation on the egg size making this mayo thinner or thicker makes sense and explains why mine varies so much. I use local farm fresh eggs that have no size consistency vs store bought sized eggs.
I am team mayo all the way! I so enjoy every one of your videos! Every recipe you share sounds amazing! I'm finally getting myself together after moving and the holidays to try a few for myself! The recipes I plan to try first are this one and the pizza one! Can't wait to ry them all really! Thank you so much for sharing you cooking skills with us!
I have been doing some research on making copycat Kraft Mayonnaise, my favorite. It is a flavor between Miracle Whip and most brands of mayonnaise. I haven’t tried making it yet, but I am planning to do the copycat using your spreadable butter mayonnaise recipe. I will be using Dijon mustard, lemon juice and vinegar, sweetener (but less sweetener than the miracle whip recipe), salt, pinch of onion powder and pinch of garlic powder. And as you said I will add the seasonings at the end, after the emulsion is set. I can’t wait to try it.
Wow, that’s fantastic! Can’t wait to try it! In answer to the question: as kids we had miracle whip, which my family called mayonnaise. I was about 14 when I discovered real mayo.. it was ‘bye-bye MW’ from then on, (except for turkey sandwiches after Thanksgiving).😂
Team Mayo!!! When I was a kid, I was definitely Team Miracle Whip, because that's what my Mom put on BLTs and tuna fish sandwiches. Long before I started eating Carnivore, I discovered mayo for fries and after that I couldn't face Miracle Whip. 😆 Also, Chris, have you tried duck fat mayo?!?!! I use that for the base of your ranch dip -- holy moly!!! 👍😄🤤
Oh man! This is so great! I grew up with Miracle Whip! I hated having to switch over to Duke's when i went keto. I am definitely trying the Miracle Whip version!
I am definitely a mayonnaise person . I had a friend who loved miracle whip. I told him just try adding mustard with mayonnaise. He did and said that way is so much better than miracle whip.
Dear Chris, you do such a good job. I have some Costco Mayo that I'm going to use up, but then I'm going to make your butter mayo! Probably for the rest of my life! I probably like Mayo more than miracle whip but if miracle whip is all there is I will use it. My mother made her Mayo with sweet pickle vinegar so ours growing up was homemade and very sweet. I hated it when she started buying the stuff in the jars!
Yes definitely! He has a sugar addiction he can’t let go of and I’m pretty strict low-no carb…we make it work but I’m hoping to get him to change! Love your channel ❤
Miracle whip hands down. 👍I’ve made your original recipe and added ranch dressing powder mix that I make and it makes yummy homemade ranch dressing. I’ve also made it with hot sauce to make your buffalo wing sauce and it’s delish as well. Now I want to try to make the mayo into a steak sauce. And also buffalo sauce. Thank you for sharing
yes it is! I did eat it in the beginning until i discovered I personally do not do well with eggs so I have to leave it alone for now but I do think this is an amazing mayo!!
I was never a mayo fan until I made my own, but have always used light tasting OO, so this is much better!!! My preference is heavy duty mayo...It is richer and keeps foods like chicken salad, very creamy. The only difference is it has extra yolks. I am going to try this with an extra yolk to see if I can replicate heavy duty mayo 😋 Thanks so much for the inspiration.
I use 2 yolks, I wouldn't call mine heavy duty. I have very large home grown eggs. Going to use Chris' hint of removing some of the egg white too. We will see, but absolutely love this recipe.
It was good but I'm going to make some changes next time. I usually use 1 whole egg and extra yolk for a cup of oil...with 2T lemon juice, 1/2t ground mustard and 1/2t salt. So since this was a smaller amount of fat, it was a little too much yolk. So I will double the butter next time, and will go back to ground mustard as the Dijon is a little overpowering in the flavor. I'll probably use lemon juice next time as well, as i see thats used in the miracle whip. It made great turkey salad... very rich and creamy like heavy mayo is, just a little overwhelmed by the prepared mustard. Otherwise, I think this is a winner and love that there is some customization available for different taste buds. Thanks Chris!!!
Thank you❤ I am so happy you created this and thank you for sharing! I love mayo and can't eat the gross substitutes from the store. This is a God send. (Also I love the adorable puppy encounter at the end 😂)
Greetings from the UK, @Chriscookingnashville. I made a garlic version of this for a family feast for New Year’s Eve and everyone loved it! I modified it with a glove of garlic and added two tablespoons of homemade yoghurt whey and left to ferment overnight before refrigerating . I had some today and it is indeed soft and spreadable. Thank you for the videos. 😊
Hello, Chris! This is fabulous, thank you. Why is allulose your preferred sweetener please? I haven't tried it but I find they all have an unpleasant aftertaste.
Hello! I think allulose has the best flavor with no aftertaste personally. It can also be caramelized and has some other great properties for culinary uses. It’s less sweet than some others so I tend to add a little monk fruit/erythritol blend as well to balance out the flavor and sweetness. You can use anything you like though. 😊
I love your butter mayo but I grew up eating only miracle whip. I’m going to try making it. I have only one problem with Dijon mustard it upsets my stomach. Is there another mustard I could use?
I grew up on Miracle Whip for sandwiches but Mayonnaise for cooking! So I thank you so much for both these recipes. I've been enjoying your mayo ever since you did your 1st video on mayo! You ROCK! 😏
I never liked Miracle Whip, since it was just too sweet. I wanted sugar on my donuts, but not on my BLT. It also had little tiny red dots in it that reminded me of concrete mites. Bon apetit! So GO TEAM MAYO!
Miracle Whip? Mayo? I love them both! I like to make my mayo in my Vitamix with the aer disc. Works like a charm! I also like using half butter & half bacon fat. Nom-nom-nom! 🥓🥓🥓

Yummy! Hope you enjoy. 😊
This southern gal loves Dukes mayo, thanks for all your recipes
My pleasure 😊
Love your mayo and always do dble batches using grass fed butter!
So good! 😁
Can’t wait to try this ❤
😊😊😊
I like Miracle Whip but have been using your Mayo recipe, which I like.
Wonderful! 😊
I have tried both and I prefer the mayo because the miracle whip is a little too vinegary for me thanks for asking😅
Same 😊
Wow, that’s fantastic! Can’t wait to try it!
In answer to the question: as kids we had miracle whip, which my family called mayonnaise. I was about 14 when I discovered real mayo.. it was ‘bye-bye MW’ from then on, (except for turkey sandwiches after Thanksgiving).😂
Haha nice. Hope you enjoy this. 😊
Team Mayo!!! When I was a kid, I was definitely Team Miracle Whip, because that's what my Mom put on BLTs and tuna fish sandwiches. Long before I started eating Carnivore, I discovered mayo for fries and after that I couldn't face Miracle Whip. 😆
Also, Chris, have you tried duck fat mayo?!?!! I use that for the base of your ranch dip -- holy moly!!! 👍😄🤤
I haven’t but that sounds great! I’ll have to give it a shot. 😁
Oh man! This is so great! I grew up with Miracle Whip! I hated having to switch over to Duke's when i went keto. I am definitely trying the Miracle Whip version!
Hope you enjoy! And no seed oils in this. 😊
I am definitely a mayonnaise person . I had a friend who loved miracle whip. I told him just try adding mustard with mayonnaise. He did and said that way is so much better than miracle whip.
Haha nice
miracle whip
😊
Mayo. Miracle Whip was always too sweet for me. 👍
Same 😊
Can't handle miracle whip. Definitely butter and of course after making it homemade never going back!! 😊
I’ve always been the same. 😊
Totally understand. I hope you enjoy this. 😊😊😊
My husband likes Miracle Whip and I love Mayo!
Oh a house divided! Haha 😂
Yes definitely! He has a sugar addiction he can’t let go of and I’m pretty strict low-no carb…we make it work but I’m hoping to get him to change! Love your channel ❤
Thank you! Silent example over time will be the best probably. 😊
My pleasure! Glad you enjoy it so much. 😊
This Mayo is amazing 🤩
Thanks babe. 😁❤️
yes it is! I did eat it in the beginning until i discovered I personally do not do well with eggs so I have to leave it alone for now but I do think this is an amazing mayo!!
Thanks! 😁😁😁
Mine lasted over 3 weeks
Doesn’t surprise me. It seems pretty stable. Mine never makes it that long though. Haha 😊
I like both lol
😊👍🏼
I can't wait to try this. I'd love to see you make deviled eggs with this.
Great idea! 😊
I just made some deviled eggs with this mayo..delish! Tonight I'll be having some salmon salad with it..
So glad! 😁😁😁
I grew up with Miracle Whip. I'd love to be able to have both!
I think this should help with that 😊
I was never a mayo fan until I made my own, but have always used light tasting OO, so this is much better!!! My preference is heavy duty mayo...It is richer and keeps foods like chicken salad, very creamy. The only difference is it has extra yolks. I am going to try this with an extra yolk to see if I can replicate heavy duty mayo 😋 Thanks so much for the inspiration.
Sounds good 😊
I’m curious too
I use 2 yolks, I wouldn't call mine heavy duty. I have very large home grown eggs. Going to use Chris' hint of removing some of the egg white too. We will see, but absolutely love this recipe.
Sounds great 😊
It was good but I'm going to make some changes next time.
Love love this! Thanks Chris!❤❤❤
You are so welcome! 😊👍🏼
Thank you❤ I am so happy you created this and thank you for sharing! I love mayo and can't eat the gross substitutes from the store. This is a God send. (Also I love the adorable puppy encounter at the end 😂)
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching! 😊😊😊
Miracle whip for wraps and sandwiches/egg salad/tuna salad. Mayo for everything else.
That’s so great! Glad to hear. Love your modifications. Sounds very good. 😊 Happy new year.
Sounds like a great idea. Yes any mustard you like is fine. 😊
I grew up on Miracle Whip for sandwiches but Mayonnaise for cooking! So I thank you so much for both these recipes. I've been enjoying your mayo ever since you did your 1st video on mayo! You ROCK!
😏
You are so welcome! 😊😊😊
Miracle Whip until I was 35. Then I grew up and started eating mayo for the last 25 years.
Nice 😊
What is miracle whip?
@@jackiedavison9898 in the US, it's a very sweet version of mayonnaise, looks the same. Now I prefer mayo.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Miracle Whip is my favorite.
Nice 😁
Dukes☝🏽
Love it. But hate the seed oil.
I grew up eating Heinz salad cream but I much prefer Mayo now. This is a great recipe. Thank you
My pleasure 😊
Mayo! When I was growing up, my mom used to make mayo sandwiches. I loved them. We also used mayo as our salad dressing.
Same! 😊
Actually, I'm team both. It depends on what I'm using it for.
Nice 😊
I never liked Miracle Whip, since it was just too sweet. I wanted sugar on my donuts, but not on my BLT. It also had little tiny red dots in it that reminded me of concrete mites. Bon apetit! So GO TEAM MAYO!
Same 😊
I guess it was paprika. I didn't eat mayo, miracle whip, or dip growing up just mustard
I’ve heard paprika is the correct spice
Made this today . Love it !!! Taste very good in deviled eggs. Thank you.
Glad you liked it!! 😊😊😊
I do home made mayo with avocado oil, Dijon mustard, salt, lemon juice and whole egg.
I don’t care for avocado oil mayo myself.
That's how I did it whenever I made it. I'm looking forward to trying it with butter.
I think it’s much better with butter. I don’t care for the flavor of avocado oil and as a carnivore I don’t want to eat it anyway. 😊
Butter mayo is definitely better. I'm gonna try it with ghee too!
I agree 😊
Oh my gosh - I made this! First time I’ve made butter Mayo where it actually works!!!
I’m so glad. 😊😊😊
