Upper Egypt was removed from all maps during the Scramble for Africa in the late 1800s. The ancient Egypt consisted of Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt. Upper Egypt was larger than Lower Egypt and the borders of Upper Egypt extended to the Euphrates river then it went west to the Kingdom of Aram. This means that the majority of their time was in Edom and Moab and they spent 2 years in the Wilderness going from station to station. They were in the Wilderness for 40 years because God was not going to let the generation of people that came out of Egypt go into the Promise land. God waited until they died, then He let the children of the Hebrews that came out of Egypt go into the Promise land. The Hebrews that came out of Egypt did not trust God and they complained to God a lot and they compared God to the false gods of Egypt and said Egypt is better, so God did not let them go into the Promise land. He let their children go into the Promise land and this is why it took 40 years. 40 years is two generations, the first generation of Hebrews did not enter the Promise land, but the second generation of Hebrews did enter the Promise land. Many scholars claim the meaning of Nazareth is obscure, and Nazareth is commonly defined as "a Branch" but this is incorrect. This is not the meaning of Nazareth. The Hebrew word for Nazareth is "ne·ṣer," it is the Ivri word written with the Ivri letters "nsr". נָצְרַת 1.NSR "n" is the Paleo-Hebrew "nun" and it means "seed, continue, heir, son." "s" is the Paleo-Hebrew "shin" and it means "sharp, press, two front teeth." "r" is the Paleo-Hebrew "resh" and it means "head, first, top, beginning." Nazareth is "nsr" in Hebrew. The proper meaning of Nazareth in Hebrew is "Heir/Son Separated to God". This is seen in the "n" "nun" meaning "Heir or Son", and the "s" shin which is "two front teeth" used to divide separate, thus meaning to divide/separate, and the "r" is resh meaning "head or High" referring to God. So "neser", which is Nazareth, it means "the person that has separated himself to God". There was a sect called Nazarenes during the time of Yahshua, and Yahshua himself was called a Nazarene. In Acts 24:5, Paul is called a Nazarene. 2.Bethlehem Bethlehem is defined as "House of Bread," but this is incorrect. a. Beth is "bet" meaning "house, tent". b. Lehem "l" is "lamed" meaning "to teach, lead, authority, bind, yoke." "h" is "het" meaning "wall, outside, divide, half." "m" is "mem" meaning "water, might blood." Bethlehem properly means "House where the Holy Teacher/Ruler will come." "House" is seen in the Bet. "Holy Teacher/Ruler" is seen in the "lamed". "Will come" is seen in the "mem" as descendant or offspring. Bethlehem does not mean "House of Bread". It means "the House where the Holy Teacher/Ruler will come", and this is in fulfillment of scripture in Micah 5:2, "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." This phrase "out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel" is the meaning of Bethlehem.
