@@FreightTrain54 yes. If his father continues to fund Tony’s project it will still continue. But if they lose even more money then they already have tough choices will be made
Unfortunately, money dosen't grow on trees, he cannot keep spending without a limit. If he had that kind of money, WWE would be no more. But that isn't the case.
Every company has bad patches. AEW will recover in due time, it’s only existed for 5 years! Not to mention the Punk situation could not have been fixed, he had to leave. Hopefully the returns of Omega and Copeland will help kickstart the comeback
@@thegangster4481 it’s sad though that they will need omega and Copeland to make a come back. Aew was supposed to be all these indie guys who can show the world the talent they have. Now it’s just filled with people who should be retired. I don’t think 2 people can change what’s been happening. Tony has to change how things are done.
AEW as a business in general would not be around if the owner if it was dumping his own money into it to keep it alive. How many wrestling promotions have shutdown because they run out of money? AEW is the exception to the rule because the owner is a billionaire and is keeping it alive even though viewership and attendance is down year by year. They have even had to change the venue for their Australia show because tickets didn't sell well enough. Even the Wembley show was down more than 10k in sales from the same show last year. These are facts.
As long as the money comes in AEW stays alive. The only things they can do to save it are a brand split, smaller venues, replacing the booking team, roster cuts, selling ROH, firing the Elite (except Okada he's chill)
@@TheGamingD Yes it is. But it always was. That it the reason why it felt different. Sure the stories and character building aren't on WWE level BUT the wrestling just feels more natural. Imagine Ospreay and Ricochet working in NXT style without their circus moves. It would be just boring. But IMO AEW is basically ROH with much better production. And it also is kind of like the WCW was when they had a giant roster and you had many dream matches on Nitro. It is kind of similar only that the main event is lacking the real top guys. They don't have Orton and Cena and Roman and Undertaker and The Rock and others. They only have Moxley and Bryan and Edge and Jericho.
@ the definition to wrestling is a story that leads to the in ring action. Aew has zero of that. And it doesn’t help that every wrestler is doing flips constantly. When people started to do that it was cool but now it’s like the super kick. It’s overdone.
It wasn't smart to get rid of CM Punk. something he has done good though. is obtained in ricochet and letting him do his thing very often. He didn't get enough screen time on WWE and he is awesome.
See ricochet probably the year before he left wwe triple H gave him a lot of tv time. Put him in real good situations. But now that hes in aew yes hes working almost weekly but his matches mean nothing. I think he only left wwe because they wouldnt give him the money. so pretty much Tony needs to completely start fresh?
Just went to the KC show on the 11th. Felt like a house show, I think the main event was the only finish with a finisher, no runs, etc.
