Crazy thing about sting and edge being in the same ring.. I think he may be one of only like 3 people who have been in the ring with both sting and taker.
It is not a great time to be a wrestling fan when they need guys in their 50's and 60's constantly coming back, wrecking their bodies and diminishing the nostalgic appeal in order to keep it interesting.
One of the things I liked about this debut is the commentary stood quiet most of the time, just letting the moment be enjoyed by everyone. This is AEW's most valuable signing ever it will help them bring a lot of people into the company
It really lets the moments breathe and I've always liked it when they do it because there wasn't really a need for commentary until the physicality started.
I was there, 4th row ringside and my ears rang for like 10 minutes after the show ended. An insane reaction to experience live, to say the least. I only wish there was a bigger crowd there like for Dynamite on January 4th cause that would've made it even sweeter.
Just like in his Royal Rumble return, Edge/Adam is so excited to get out and perform that he was out of the ramp even before the smoke comes up. That's passion right there. ❤
This is simultaneously the most surreal thing and the coolest thing I've seen in wrestling this year. What a moment. Can't wait to see what Adam Copeland does in AEW.
Just having sting and adam in the same ring is a dream come true for a lifelong wrestling fan! And the potential for a tag team run with Christian is just the icing on the cake!!
Competition is signing another’s promotions hard work to use it against them ? Whatever happened to building your own talent ? When wcw was stomping all over wwf they retaliated by created their own stars. Austin, rock, hhh, taker, hbk, Kane, Kurt, mankind, Hardy’s, edge Christian & then took them out of business.
The fact that the TNT title was the main event of the ppv and Edge, Christian, Sting, and Darby is part of this storyline make it extra good. Christian is really bringing the TNT title to another level!
One of the best debuts/returns I've ever seen in wrestling. This felt so special because it feels like Edge is returning to real wrestling. As if he's saving the day for old school wrestling fans. That's why it had such an emotional feeling.
definitely not one of the best debuts by any means or returns for that matter i llove adam copeland but him returning isnt incredible anymore..its just innevitable hes like every other old timer..him rock cena..they dont know when to quit and since their meaningless outside of professional wrestling its obvious they will always return
Coming back to watch this, Adam Copeland was exactly the thing AEW needed to start turning the ship around after the unfortunate events of the summer. His debut didn't fix everything, but it was a palette cleanser. Just glad he's doing his thing.
This was perfectly executed! The Darby and Christian match was INCREDIBLE leading into the debut! Everything was on point, the cinematic preview, the licenced music, the smoke and pyro. Treated Edge like the big star he is! Fantastic moment for AEW!
How? I mean that foo said let me have my into and let me run around and pose on stage before I help anyone! Made no sense then I forgot took his time to get to the ring….. like man if I was getting beat up I’d be like hurry the F up

@nickswix6976 I didn't watch the interview but I saw the statement he released and I agree with you. I'm not sure if he would have come just to have a final match with Christian, but he's multiple story lines in AEW.
You can see in the eyes of Christan the emotions he was having during the return of Edge. It must have been difficult for him to stay in the character. True friendship🤍
It was the last possible opportunity before Allin climbs Everest. They couldn't risk him not getting that one main event spot if theres a genuine chance the guy isn't alive a year from now
I’ll be honest, I’d love to see Edge wrestle some AEW talent and even win the Title or a few titles. For AEW this is a win but they gotta get rid of those EVPs and replace them with real wrestling minds to help AEW grow. I don’t know who, but I believe they need better wrestling minds.
@@moaziz23 I agree. I think that they have strayed a bit from their original goal and message… And even Chris Jericho in the past on podcasts has talked about what he views his role as in the company, and he doesn’t want it to go to EVP every man for himself kind of thing, while the top-tier only benefits. But that’s the problem, the bigger you get the more you end up, throwing away from your original mission and the more muddy the waters can be. There needs to be some kind of raining in process early on so that once they go to HBO and all of this other stuff they’re talking about, they don’t turn into WCW .
I think he’s a big deal for AEW and I’m really happy AEW is utilising him. He needs to win the world title and tag team titles at some point. Really glad he’s back. I think he’s the one to beat Moxley and Christian cashes in his contract in on Cope. Now that Darby is taking time off to climb Mount Everest I think Adam Copeland is the one to take down Moxley at Revolution.

Crazy thing about sting and edge being in the same ring.. I think he may be one of only like 3 people who have been in the ring with both sting and taker.

One of the things I liked about this debut is the commentary stood quiet most of the time, just letting the moment be enjoyed by everyone. This is AEW's most valuable signing ever it will help them bring a lot of people into the company
They always do it.
Same happened with Keith Lee, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Adam Cole etc
It really lets the moments breathe and I've always liked it when they do it because there wasn't really a need for commentary until the physicality started.

There's been so much pointless negativity around this debut. Wrestling needs more fans like you. 🙏
He is still very young for qrestling world 😊
I’ll be honest, I’d love to see Edge wrestle some AEW talent and even win the Title or a few titles.
Still the most shocking AEW debut of all time, in my opinion. Adam Copeland (Edge) is somebody I never thought would step foot in a different ring.
I think he’s a big deal for AEW and I’m really happy AEW is utilising him. He needs to win the world title and tag team titles at some point. Really glad he’s back. Now that Darby is taking time off to climb Mount Everest I think Adam Copeland is the one to take down Moxley at Revolution.
