So, sorry about yesterday fiasco, things happens but we have faith in you and know that will never happen again. I'm new at this but it me gives me so much Joy. I live vicariously through your nature journey. The good, the bad and the ugly. Hang in there and keep up the good videos.
Shrimp are a great thing. I have a few in my 10 gallon betta tank as well and they make a huge difference, keeps the water crystal clear and keeps algae away, at are so cool to watch!! very cool
I had a male beta in a HUGE community tank, home to hundreds of different fish double digit species. No issues with the beta or other fish and he lived in there for 2 years before the tank got the ick
Tips: I wouldn't recommend keeping Cories in gravel because that can hurt them. 2: The Cories will get 2-3 inches, and Shouldn't be kept in a 10 gallon. Not trying to be annoying, just saying, 🔥 vid btw.
True that corys will be over 2 inches when adult - but - lots of my cory are in river stone and/or gravel tanks - they love foraging under the rocks - I had 20 babies survive because the substrate was rocky and they had plenty of hiding places!
Agreed, I think Pygmy corys or salt and pepper dwarf corys are better options in a 10g. Plus his tank is tall more than long and corys spent majority of their time on the bottom and this tank doesn’t provide much room for that.
Yeah the betta should have no issues. I have two albino cories, a few fancy guppies, a giant golden mystery snail, a lyretail swordtail, a few cardinal tetras and a bloodfin tetra. I always see them doing completely fine and i even see my betta Vinnie schooling with the Cardinals. Also those are bronze cory catfish if you were wondering!
They look like emerald green cory’s. I had 3 (same ones) and about 3 amano shrimp with my beta. All were good. As long as they have hiding spots they’ll be fine. The cory’s can get big, I moved mine into a 35 gallon and added 3 more, the more you have (same species), the happier they are. They love bloodworms too, if you have sand substrate, you’ll see them burrowing looking for food. Enjoy!
I’m glad we got an update on the beta! Haven’t seen him in awhile and the tank looks amazing especially with the new editions! Keep up the good videos!
I've got cories, otos, and two Chinese algae eaters with my current betta. I had a mystery snail in with him, but he started eating snail's antennae, so Mr. Snail got a new home ... Your new cories look like bronze/green. I have two of those, as well.
3:12 I was thinking that they were a pair. Also those are bronze cories they can get around 3 inch so they may need a larger tank as that tank is kinda small but good job for getting more than 1 or 2
@@torchictheballoonmollie7135 there more shoal than school meaning yes they appreciate more but will do fine in a small group, unlike most tetras cories aren’t as clingy to one another.
Those look like emerald green corydoras, they have a cool iridescent green look to them under lighting. I had 3 of them for a long time and they’re so fun to watch!
Hey Carson if u need ideas for this month you should really look into Dwarf Gourami fish. I saw them in ur video when u went to the store. I’ve watched videos on them and look easy to take care of and they are super cool looking. Keep up the good work👍
There’s a lot of fish that go with bettas, I thought the same but my local pet store has a beta in each of there tanks. It’s two betts you can’t put together, but I think I seen something about 2 females are ok.
Hey Carson you tank looks so much better with a lot of more life. But you need to get 2 more of those corries for them to make a proper school for them and to make them feel a lot more better. Also those are bronze corydoras
Hello im new to this hobby, so i noticed you planted some plants in your betta tank which use gravel or stone substrate, do you have some soil substrate below it or something else? Im thinking of decorating a new tank and im still lost at what can or cant i do
I have an amano shrimp in my male betta tank. At first, they would spar, and the shrimp would almost go into a "come at me bro" pose. Now, they basically ignore each other.
Hey Carson, so I just recently got a ten-gallon tank and been wanting to buy some tropical fish but don't know how many to buy and which fishes fit best together. I already have the food, heater etc but I just wanted to know if you could help me with that 😁. BTW I love your videos they also helped me a lot and there really fun to watch, keep it up 😝.
Seeing your videos and the effort you put in them I have no doubt that you are going to be a huge channel in a not so distant future! Greetings from Spain
Timmy was the name of my turtle. He was originally named Tiny Tim after the turtle from the nursery rhyme. Seeing these videos kind of makes me want another one.
Carson you probably wont see this but angle fish eggs hatch into something called wigglers they cant swim yet at this stage so the eggs might be in there still
1st of all LOVE your videos and 2nd the corys do look like Bronze Corys and I do suggest to change to substrate for the corys cause ther little whiskers may get damaged with the substrate they are in now, sand or even smaller gravel.
Fair warning the shrimp do molt so dont get alarmed when you see something that looks like a body! I got nervous the first time I saw it but it happens often!
You must be the king of "I like turtles". On the real note, I just started watching you and have been binge watching your video's, you have such a good personality, and your channel has inspired me to get a turtle for christmas. You are awesome and deserve much more fame. Keep being awesome.

I had a male beta in a HUGE community tank, home to hundreds of different fish double digit species. No issues with the beta or other fish and he lived in there for 2 years before the tank got the ick

Get panda dories they stay smaller
Why would rocks hurt Corys? I have 20 Albinos in my 6-foot tank? With Rocky substrate.
Corry will be just fine in a 10 gallon tank I had some in a 10 gallon tank you don't know what your talking about and Corry are just fine in gravel
I’ve kept shrimp for years and from my experience they always thrive in small groups. Like 6-10. Great video Carson!
Love the video 😎

carson out of all the youtubers i watch your the best
With mollies and guppies in your turtle pond you will get muppies or gollies. Those are cross breeds of mollies and guppies. Those will be so cool 😎
They look like emerald green cory’s. I had 3 (same ones) and about 3 amano shrimp with my beta. All were good. As long as they have hiding spots they’ll be fine.
