I don't care how many (former) users put the Electribe 2 down. It remains a great piece of kit in the right hands! And you showed us in this and so many of your other videos. Thank you for sharing this wonderful music and your skills in using this amazing Korg machine! Wishing you a fabulous summer, enjoy!
Love it. Was following you already when I discovered you when I was looking for artists using a Blofeld. Now, I just picked up an Electribe 2, and low and behold, you have it, too. Both of these Electribe 2 tracks of yours are stellar. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful! The intense attention to detail required for your work in film is reflected in your music as well. Always a pleasure to observe such inspired (and inspiring) craftsmanship.
Millolab... you are the stuff, the move, and the flow. your tunes are fluid beauty. I have your album 'Cinematico' and jammed it while hiking in Peru. The jam.
wow this is...amazing. so glad i stumbled on this. im an instant fan. super inspiring me on the electribe. I am just scratching the surface really. can u tutorial me on how you are getting those real tight hihat rolls? id assume its with the 32delay/ sequencer and arpeggio? but my rolls arent as tight as that. are u switching something up? How does it happen? Help me out please. PS, Im gonna buy ur album. this was...real good. i needed this.
Awesome as always! By the way, have you had any trouble with the blofeld encoders? I'm looking forward to buying one, but this might be a deal breaker...
Very pretty. Loving the lead and phasing pads in particular but you've pushed the machine a bit to get some non-conventional percussive sounds here as well. I love layering multiple kick and clap/snares with a bit of osc-edit, filtering and pitch change to get some really unique percussive kits on this machine. Speaking of machines, you need a Monomachine. :)
Matt Greer well... there is no kick or snare layering... there is some modulation going on and some motion sequencing on the drums. But most of the ryhtm part secreto is the different lenght of each track. All the percussion sounds are a single osc modulated in some parameter
Matt Greer i do strongly believe this is true. I had the chance to try a monomachine but choose the electribe 2 instead. Not because it sounds better, which is false, but because of what i needed.😊
hi its possible sync elektron md y octa with electribe 2 with move patern change via program change, example octa patern a1 electriibe a1........ or only module mode? thanks
""All the sounds are from the Electribe2" - Wow!! With all the gear you had on display i had to check to see if any of those were used on this track. This is seriously good coming from that one box? Is this the sampler version of the E2? Those drum sounds are also seriously good. I presume the H9 is responsible for that swirling tremolo like effect in the background.
I love it. How do you record your Electribe and get such high quality? I've been plugging in stereo to my audio interface and recording directly to Ableton. I haven't been able to find info anywhere online on my options. I greatly appreciate any advice you can give me man! Cheers.
i'm recording into a tascam dr70d. Nothing fancy actually. Out from a behringer rx1602 mixer, directly into the recorder. I add some multiband compression in premiere/audition. No DAW. :)
millolab yes it does thank you! random S/H on LFO through a decimator? Do you start with a drum sound or just noise? That sounds stupid, because drum sounds are derived from noise waves...ha anyways, sounds super cool! Thank you
it's not an s/h through a decimator... It's a s/h controlling the edit parametere of an insert fx which can be a decimator or a bit crusher. I use a drum sound or even an oscillator or a noise. It's not always the same. :)
How did you hold down the three buttons at the beginning to make them play, and is your song just coming from speakers or how do you make it sound like you are playing straight from the box into the phone? Thanks, I'm new to knowing how to do that.
hi millo, can i have a question? nice set up btw, in the back side of electribe there is a output and audio in 3,5mm jack, can i connect some different synthesizer or source of sound(sampler, synth, mic) in the audio input to use it in electribe? thanks
Apologies if you've answered this. But is the keystep only for playing notes, or can you use the sequencer / arpeggiator in it or the other functions to give the electribe more functionality?
turns out i didnt need to buy the album, u are cool enough to give it out for free, but i would gladly pay you for an online lesson sometime. im sure you are very busy, but, contact me if you can, id really appreciate it, and i appreciate what you do. keep up the great work. Wow.
Incredible work. The best Electribe video i've seen to date. The melody that comes in at 1:27; is that coming from the Electribe or the white Synth? I would love to know what instrument setting that is it sounds awesome.
Came back again after 4 years to listen again....this is just so wonderful!
beautiful
the king of electribe!

Wow, probably the nicest Electribe 2 stuff I've heard. Would love to see a video on how you do those cool drum patterns!
As an electribe user, this is an inspiration!.. Great job.
Beautiful textures of calming and healing music.
nice melodic track, one of the best from Electribe 2 demos, good work !

Superbly crafted!

Wonderful! The intense attention to detail required for your work in film is reflected in your music as well.

Benjamin Tucker thanks so much Benjamin. 👍🏼

Amazing! Is everything from E2? Sounds beautiful!
GREAT! congrats!
I got a question for you: have you uploaded loops in single trigger pads?
Awesome as always! By the way, have you had any trouble with the blofeld encoders? I'm looking forward to buying one, but this might be a deal breaker...

Well sure, you can do that too.
People who say this machine sounds bad just aren't exploring it IMO.
Matt Greer i do strongly believe this is true. I had the chance to try a monomachine but choose the electribe 2 instead. Not because it sounds better, which is false, but because of what i needed.😊
intro sounds like a L/R panning of Laura Palmer's theme from Twin Peaks!

Really nice vibes, whats your fave piece of gear?
i don't know actually... :)
I love your beats, the noizy clickiness of them...how do you synthesis such cool drum sounds?
well it's all about random lfos on decimator/filter and odd time signatures. Sometimes i also use automated delays. Hope this hepls! :)
millolab yes it does thank you! random S/H on LFO through a decimator? Do you start with a drum sound or just noise? That sounds stupid, because drum sounds are derived from noise waves...ha anyways, sounds super cool! Thank you

millolab right that's what I meant, the s/h being sent to the insert fx. Awesome! I'll be experimenting today, thanks again(:
How did you hold down the three buttons at the beginning to make them play, and is your song just coming from speakers or how do you make it sound like you are playing straight from the box into the phone? Thanks, I'm new to knowing how to do that.
Molto bello.Vedo che hai il machinedrum come e a confronto con l'electribe 2?
sono due cose completamente diverse... non comparabili
hi millo, can i have a question? nice set up btw, in the back side of electribe there is a output and audio in 3,5mm jack, can i connect some different synthesizer or source of sound(sampler, synth, mic) in the audio input to use it in electribe? thanks
yes you can! :) you have an audio in oscillator. u can use filters and efxs
What is the name of this kind of music? Cool
Apologies if you've answered this. But is the keystep only for playing notes, or can you use the sequencer / arpeggiator in it or the other functions to give the electribe more functionality?

What setting do you use which allows you to select just the sounds you want and mutes all the others? Right at the 2:00 mark. Thanks!
just click twice on the mute button (it will blink). :)
Dang. Such a useful tip! Thanks
How did you record you emx2? What level? Direct to the audio recorder or coupled with a daw? Thank you:)
direct audio recorder. Then some multi band compression and a limiter on Audition. :)
Nice one:)
Incredible work. The best Electribe video i've seen to date. The melody that comes in at 1:27; is that coming from the Electribe or the white Synth? I would love to know what instrument setting that is it sounds awesome.
Jeff, the white keyboard is the keystep from Arturia. It's a midi controller. All u hear in this song come from the Electribe only.
