Bought this bike in March 2022 not the step thru same bike nonetheless. To this day what you get in this bike it’s the best bang for your buck. Can’t go wrong, love it. Almost at 2000 miles no hiccups
20-25 miles throttle only (exluding harsh weather conditions hills, or downhills. just flat ground) Pedaling using 33% of motor power (1/3 assist) and a little throttle usage (flat ground) most likely 60+ miles. Pedaling using 66% of motor power (2/3 assist) and a little throttle usage (flat ground) most likely 45+ miles. Pedaling using 100% of motor power (3/3 asssist) and medium throttle usage (flat ground) most likely 35 miles. I reccomend pedaling using 2/3 assist and when you have a bunch of flat ground kick up to 3/3 assist for extra speed. Don't abuse the throttle but have fun with it. Avoid full throttling up a hill; it is very bad for battery and motor. If you ride it normally, your most likely gonna get 30-35+ miles.
@@oh_hello nothing big. swapped the tires for motocross tires (no more flats). added rear view camera and monitor. pedals and grips. phone tank bag and additional bag. soon to add 2nd battery and considering a motor upgrade. oh...and a jbl flip 6 cause I can't ride without my music. I just crossed over 500 miles. I don't regret this purchase at all!
PERFECT for big city commuting is a Compact Folding e-bike design with Carry On Luggage type mini wheels & handle. an e-bike design that has its own Luggage folding basket included. you can take it on a city bus or train. 50V is highest safe voltage for all or wet weather e-bike also 25kmph safest e-bike speed limit for big City traffic .suspension is unnecessary below 25kmph.
Great presentation. Not sure if it's a true step thru because I don't see the V shape entrance. I do like the BMX handlebars. I was thinking about getting a Super 73 RX but the Ariel Rider bike has a better battery capacity and price less. Did you do a range test using throttle only? Thanks for sharing this on UA-cam.
Thanks. I haven't done an official throttle range test yet, mostly because I live up a hill so it's difficult to do it accurately. I'd say I'm easily getting 50+ miles per charge, but not the full 80 miles they claim on their website.
Thanks for the video. Could you tell me what the actual tire diameter is? I know website says 20x4 but apparently those tires may be closer to 24” tall. Thank you!
As long as the e bike has Dual Shocks of two piece frame. Believe it should be the standard of the high speed which having only front fork shocks get real bumpy. Those frames you MUST have a seat with shocks.
Hey I’m looking at several brands. Like this design/model. Like the look similar to the older motorcycle Triumph. Price is where I want to be. Nice video
As I said in the video, I love my Grizzly, but if I had to choose just one bike then I would choose the x-class as I think it's more versatile. Both are amazing bikes though.
This is just my opinion on the bike and the things I like about it. If you're looking for the bike specs and price you can easily find them on the Ariel Rider website.
Nice bike for sure & good video ! Though my preference is for larger wheels so I chose their Kepler model. I'm glad I bought it but I don't get the mileage everyone else seems to report. I get 20-25 miles on a full charge using throttle only, & have stretched that to 40 miles using PAS. It hauls my 234 lb body and 8 lb chain lock 38.5 mph top speed, though I usually ride 25-35 mph on streets.
I've heard great things about the Kepler, however I needed something smaller as I take it on the train with me. I've also limited mine to 35mph as any faster than that feels a bit risky. Thanks for watching.
@Docinaplane No mods. I'm only reporting what I've experienced with it. Has 297 miles on it. Got to 41.1 mph on first charge flat ground. Briefly hit 39.1 a couple days ago, flat ground. Routinely hits 35 mph on straight aways. Usually tops out at 38.5 mph like I said. When I lift the rear wheel off the ground & open up the throttle it'll hit 45.2 mph max, which shows how fast the wheel can turn w/o resistance.
Nice job; one suggestion: Did you buy this with your own money? If so, you should say so, as it lends credibility. As to your question, a few weeks ago, I thought the X-Class 52V was The One. There are a few things I don't like about it: - Knobby tires; I won't ride it offroad; I'd rather have better grip and tread life on pavement. I wonder if they do that so they can disavow when someone gets caught riding it at illegal speeds on the street. ("We designed it for offroad use and warned them before they could unlock higher speeds!") - Short seat. They should either provide the full length seat or a basket to go behind the seat - Fender coverage is not good. The short front will let dirty road spray and mud get all over my pants and feet. The rear is so short it won't even keep the rear light clean and I doubt it would protect the back of the rider, either. One thing I do like is that the big sprocket on the rear appears to be big enough that it could be reasonably pedaled to limp home at 10 mph if the battery life proves to be inadequate. The one that looks closest to perfect right now is the Revv1 by Ride1up. It has better fender coverage, better tires and a modular design. The middle opening has a storage basket that can go there and they're working on a provision for mounting a second battery pack there. It also has cast wheels, so no messing around with spokes, ever. The tire tread is such that it would have some traction offroad, but the lugs are big and flat enough that they won't wear down too quickly on pavement, and they result in more grippable surface area on pavement. Its downside is that it only has one gear. No way this is going to be limped home on leg power if the battery dies. It seems to be geared for at least 15 mph.
My perfect e-bike is this e-machine in the link... does about 31 or 32 maxed with the Bafang motor at 750 watts and is the legal limit for these e-machines in the state I live in, has plenty of hill climbing power for me and really nice e-bike and I ride it even though I lost my left leg below the knee in 2018 in July. Finally got to where I can ride again and my confidence for riding back up with these machines and have another e-bike but for my body size and shape and such this machine works great for me with pannier bags to carry my gear. I wear a carbon fiber and titanium left prosthetic made by Össur for my left prosthetic... and do fine on this machine and the bafang motor is so powerful if you are not easy on the throttle it likes to pop wheelies... so I have to be gentle with my "luck" and Luckeep e-bike. Everything on it works perfect and has cruise control, also has turn signals and brake lights and I added a nice rear view under the handlebar... mirror that catches both sides of the road behind me tapped in the end of the bar on left side... love this machine... perfect e-bike for me... everyone is different... but like your review on why your bike is perfect for you... have a great day and here is the link to the machine I bought and love... Susuki partnered with them for the electrical stuff on this machine... it has a Samsung 48V battery that is huge that goes into the tube and locks in... and soon I'll buy an extra batter and carry it on longer rides to swap out... machine has hydraulic disk brakes... love it... ua-cam.com/video/XYv5NqaE2lo/v-deo.html
You should feel the luxurious difference between xclass and the grizzly...I've owned both...I sold x class after riding both. The grizzly is THE flagship. Happy safe riding! The Ariel Rider family Rocks!
Quick question for those who have ridden both... I am looking for a bike that is powerful enough to conquer massive hills. I'm talking 200m in less than a mile with the steepest part being quite ludicrous. I understand that the Grizzly is obviously much more powerful, but the primary rider is a small person about 5'2" and 100 pounds. Do you think the X Class would carry her up such a big hill?
