well done Debbie, its beautiful i could watch you all day, sometimes i just watch your tutorials all day long. i also make some of the bags and pillows, happy sewing i love your work and i am learning from the best, thank you.
Hi Debbie, just received my fabric grey 1 inch gingham ( from fabrics.com in case someone from the states is looking for it) can't wait to get started you're a wonderful teacher. I'm finishing up my sewing machine cover that I made from your tutorial quite pleased with myself I must say but couldn't have done it without your instructions. I have many things I'd like to make after buying a number of your books) but unfortunately I'm limited but I've found a hour or so a day is better than nothing and it gives me great joy to finish a project, thanks for your inspiration.
put the cushion into a plastic bag, trash bag, insert cushion into pillow cover. I learned this technique in upholstery class when sewing very large cushions for sofas.
Thank You for this very easy way to smock.I have made a pillow that i made with light color satin. my question to you is what do i use to mark on dark fabric?.All i can find is blue color and it doesnt show on dark blue or black.Thank You.
you prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my brother for the last few weeks :)
Hi Debbie, Beautiful pillow! You didn't mention if you attached the muslin backing, and if so, how? By Hans, by machine,, how far from the edges? Thanks.
It's fusible fleece, so is adhered to the back of the fabric when ironed, and its the same size as the fabric. I only used it as my fabric was thin, any kind of interfacing would have done the job really...
linn dii Spot clean, don't wash...unless you're really confident with your knotting it would be a shame if they came undone! These cushions I think should be treated as ornaments!
debbie shore thank you for answering , i really appeciate . indeed it'll be such a waste if the knotting comes off .i'm gonna make one for my bedding and take meticulously care of it :)
It is beautiful. I like the little diamond shapes boxes on the corners of the larger squares. I will definitely make this one. Thanks Debbie!

This is quite an old one, it was from Dunelm but I'm not sure if they still do it...
can you do this then cut the finished project to create the front of a purse?

How do you wash your cushions ?
linn dii Spot clean, don't wash...unless you're really confident with your knotting it would be a shame if they came undone! These cushions I think should be treated as ornaments!

Surely you won't be able to wash the cushion with all that cotton wool in the back!? It would lose its puffy-ness once washed....
+Fitzroy Rowe I wouldn't wash, just spot clean...
Fitzroy Row
do you sell your cushions?
Sorry, I don't sell my projects, but thanks for the interest!
