  • Hemorrhagic stroke symptoms. This is when a blood vessel ruptures in the brain. There are two types: intracerebral (within brain tissue) and subarachnoid (between the brain lining and skull). Both are dangerous and increase brain pressure, damaging cells. This is a medical emergency with symptoms like a severe headache, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. Common risk factors include high blood pressure, family history, smoking, hypertension, AV malformations, and drug use (cocaine, methamphetamines). Blood thinners also increase risk. Treatment focuses on controlling brain pressure, managing blood pressure, reversing blood thinners if necessary, and sometimes surgery. Immediate ER attention is crucial. Hemorrhagic strokes are less common but more severe than ischemic strokes, which involve a blocked blood vessel leading to tissue death. Recognizing symptoms and seeking immediate ER care is vital. #stroke #health #doctor
