Jokes aside, it’d be kind of cool if the lust-affected teammate went for one of your other members. If it’s the romanced teammate, them trying to get to you mid-battle would be a nice touch, and be better than just them getting stunned sometimes.
This would be funnier if you took the harem route lol.

Be noted that the only changes in this fight is the special status last for 2 turns instead of 1. Oh and off topic for some reason his lust, wrath and envy conditions are just bad versions of shock, rage or brainwash.
Damn that’s pretty lame compared to the other changes. I was wondering to myself, “what the hell is different here? this feels almost the same as the original.” Is it also a change that he uses a sin attack every turn until he has used them all, or was I just reaching hp thresholds too fast?
@@jadenkarpoff9158 No, he always uses the sin attacks in order once his HP goes 90% or below, after he does this he just attacks randomly.
I wouldn't call them bad, just inconsistent. The first time I fought him, lust robbed me of a few turns and wrath/envy did nothing. Then I died, and the second time, Makoto got envied and would not stop attacking Joker whenever anyone did anything- she nearly killed him.
@@salvadorelastname9095 It was prob bc you used different moves each time during envy, jealousy raging triggers when you use a support skill. As for wrath, it lowers defense and raises attack like rage without forcing melee
I definitely think yaldabough takes the cake for being one of the strongest antagonists in persona. Not stronger than pandora, nyx, or Nyarlathotep. But strong
He's definitely stronger than Pandora, only stronger than avatar Nyx, definitely stronger than Izanami, Definitely not stronger than Nyarlathotep.

They're all the same thing in different clothes at the end of the day, a false god playing trickster, willing the world to end while the real power is inside you, waking up others to remind them. All of them make you stake your life on the world, seeing if you'd give up on others, it's all a bluff from one trickster God to another. Power of persona is just putting faith in Your true self, each end boss is a test of the protagonists ideals by being the exact opposite of what they're capable of.

S A M E. I wanted to risk, so I used Makoto's showtime instead of healing. Yaldabaoth survived.
Same but this is due to my own error on accidently using cosmic flare while whatever repels nuke attacks was up. Safe to say I threw my controller.

When I first played this boss in royal, the our beginning part of the song played when the cutscene of Yaldabaoth pulling out a gun also played, it lined up perfectly, and I felt so many chills
And thus, the Phantom Thieves became the only group in history to completely overcome an almost certain cancelation in Twitter
You know, this part of the game is when it really started to make me think about myself.

@@user-uy4on1jr6z I view Dr Maruki palace as glorified DLC because you needed to meet certain confidant levels by a set time, otherwise you miss out on the third semester. They literally locked the third semester behind missable in game mechanics. If someone was new to the series and didn't realise you needed to max out the Counseller and Justice confidants, they would basically need to replay the entire game after 80-100 hours.
In terms of the main story context, Yaldabaoth was the final boss.

Wish Joker pretended to shoot him self Makoto style at the end, he knows it's a fake gun but Yaldabaoth doesn't. You kill his lies with your truth, but have to stake your life on it, place your faith in the metaverse and you'd just die. Two wild cards duke it out, but the true trickster hides nothing, just a mask less fool. But imagining Satanael as your persona is a neat trick too.

So this is like my third try fighting The Holy Grail, and this try I decided to enact my shenanigans and only attack every turn, excluding my healer because duh I need to heal, and it worked. I only attacked did not use personas(excluding healer) and I beat the Holy Grail. Now it’s Yaldabaoth time

On my first playthrough of P5, I didn't even realize you could attack the arms he grows, I just spammed gods hand and Yusukes strongest move with rakundas and healing from morgana lol.

I hate Yaldabaoth, when I beat it, after a whopping 19 hours (total) of going at it, I let out a high pitched scream so loud you can hear it from across the country, I hated it more than Okumura, words can not and for the sake of keeping it positive in the comments, words will not describe the hatred I have for it. Getting this game may have been the best and worst thing to ever happen to me.

Funny thing is, Yaldabaoth is the 'God' spoken of in the Old Testament of the Bible. But the truth is, he's no real god, just a disgruntled servant of the actual God.

I am still trying to understand if the Collective Human Unconscious is Nyarlathotep or a form of the Great Will from SMT.
Collective Unconscious is exactly as it sounds, it's a soup of interconnected thoughts. The concept is pretty much based on the term of the same name from Jungian Psychology.
In persona-verse, Archetypes, and all the (images and myths of) Gods and Demons come from there. That would include Philemon and Nyarlathotep.
If you wanna go further in the lore, it exists from the evolution of living things as a means to keep Nyx's psyche at bay.
Ok, so I get to right before this fight and I find that I have barely any sp left between my characters. I can’t buff my defence to help me survive that attack right after cutting the cords, and I block normally but it kills joker in 1 shot full health or something. So I need anyone’s advice, I have nothing to use to regain sp, no coffee or packs or whatever I need. Is there anything I can do to get this issue sorted? as really I can only have 1 heavy attack or debuff from Ann, 3 moves from makoto, 3 from Ryuji, plenty from Haru, 1 move from Morgana and a few for joker.
Any advice guys??

if joker is the only one that got to the holy grails lair with the grapling hook then how did the rest of the phantom theives get there? (keep in mind the platform fell when before jokers grapling hook got to it making it even more confusing as to how the phantom theives just magically got there)

1000 dmg and heart doesn't even drop an inch this boss seriously was hard
On my 2nd playthrough where I only used Izanagi no okami picaro, It was smooth sailing, until I got to Yaldabaoth. Morgana and Ann had no mp for 80% of the fight whereas me and Haru where just chipping away at the fucker. Barely didn’t get him on the first attempt. Same scenario on the 2nd try. It got down to the wire. Ann and Morgana had hardly any health and no mp. Haru was running super low on mp, and I was just praying a miracle would happen. Yaldabaoth was charging up the one-shot. I got a good hit in with Concentration, but everyone else couldn’t do enough.
Except for fucking HARU! THE MVP. ON THE LAST POSSIBLE TURN, SHE BITCH SLAPPED GOD WITH PSIODYNE and we squeaked out the win.
has anyone noticed tho that the design of yaldabaoth actually does reflect his nature? if anyone know about the demiurge, the demiurge is the ruling archon in gnosticism who created the imperfect material realm. in terms of the demiurge, he has a mechanical body which is similar to how us human act in a mechanical manner. plus you could say because yaldabaoth looks more like a giant god machine, he has mechanical nature unable to be aware of the one true God.
Yes I also noticed that... it's even on the Holy Grail - a lot of mechanical devices looking a bit like time keeping devices. They knew what they did when they designed the Mementos prison and the Grail / Yaldabaoth.
I know this is like 3 years late, but did Royal remove the scene where Mishima was the one to start cheering for the Theives, causing the city to also cheer? Or does that happen if you max Mishima before the fight?

You have to max Mishima. I've learned that and cried when everyone started cheering for the Phantom Thieves
ok but is nobody gonna mention how yaldabaoth and all his surroundings look straight outta early ps2
He just guarded the Ray of Control and only took half damage. When I did that I immediately died and I Had Yoshistune. I had to raise my defense twice and lower his attack and I barley survived

The two most effective metas I’ve used for this fight.
Are going in with
Morgana, Ann ryuji.
Ryuji puts up attack buffs
Ann decreases enemy attack and launches devastating blazing hells.
Morgona keeps party healed , clear of status effects and nerfs enemy defenses.
Just keep joker on damage.
The 2nd meta is going in with
Haru Makoto yusuke.
Haru keeps party clear of status effects and puts concentrate on joker.
Makoto keeps party healed, puts defense up on party and charge on yusuke.
Yusuke puts heat riser on himself on wipes the field with physical attacks.
Joker puts heat riser on himself and wipes the field with magical attacks.
It was better with max Mishima
I'm curious as to how Royal keeps the Metaverse after this fight.
