I really love this lens, it basically lives on my X-S10 for everyday use, but it's also a fantastic lens for travel/street. Great video and review!

For a fun, compact and unusual bit of glass this limited edition + XT30 is a killer combo imo!

I got this lens last week and I think it’s good my only push back of this lens is it’s flares when shooting against the sun ☀️ I would like to see what filters I can get to fix that issue but overall it’s sharp and usable in my opinion.

Great review! Did you buy the beanie hat to match the lens? I must admit I didn’t consider the artisan lens when just purchasing the 27mm but I paid just £375 for it new, which is abit of steal considering what it retails for elsewhere and also that people want £300 for the older 27mm without the aperture ring on eBay. So I also considered how much I might get for it in the future. I don’t mind too much the f2.8 as portability trumped that. I’ll still keep my 35mm f1.4 to fill in that gap. Although, thinking of adding a tiny lens hood to my 27mm, JJC do one. I just prefer a hood to a lens protector as not sure spending money on lens and then potentially diminishing its optics with a cheap piece on glass is the way to go! The picture quality seems decent enough on the artisan so you’ve got yourself a great fun lens there!

tbh that's a pretty good price and yeah the new version is pretty excellent - I REALLY hope they do the exact same thing for the 18mm f2, that would go a LONG way to keeping me in this ecosystem!
Aye I agree portability is pretty peak, and f2.8 is plenty fast enough for daily captures.
Squarehoods always look fantastic tbh, I did see that JJC one when I was using the standard black TTart 27mm (it still fits) but I never ended up getting it, also agree on hood instead of lens protectors - the only filters I use are something that will add to the performance (diffusers or polarisers ect).

I do find this lens is great enough for daily casual documentary. Though not slim as fuji's 27mm lens, but thin enough to put my xt30 with this lens in my EDC sling bag. Though not great as fuji one and I noticed dark corners when shotting with f2.8 but one third the price of fuji one, what can you asking for.
Thanks for dropping by, I completely agree with you! I do prefer an ULTRA slim lens but I still chose this because yeah, a third of the price is HUGE! Shame about the corners but if your corners are the most distracting part, the image isn't good enough! Thanks again!
