I see you used a meat thermometer with the steak. I meant with the chicken too.
I would suggest a meat thermometer to check for doneness on the meat you take out. Also, a suggestion to let it warm up with the rack inside and then add the meat once it is warm in the unit.
What type of coating does it have is it telfon or ceramic?
It doesn't state that so I'm really not sure

I was quoting two people who stated that. I had not confirmed that until now that I own one. It is not true. Pressing that twice does not do anything, but if you leave it on after it goes off, the light eventually goes out

at 150-160 the steak is shoe leather 🤨
That's not even steak bro, that's simply poor man's meat, no marbling at all.
Even at 135 it will be leaky gross shoe leather, but to each their own I guess :P
Pro Tip: I am a no on this 8qt fryer and here is why. The 8qt claim is deceptive because they are using the depth of the fryer to arrive at it. But we are not interest in depth because air fryers do best when the food items can be spread out over a larger basket with more surface area! I actually have a 6qt air fryer with more surface area than this 8qt. Do your homework guys!
