She increases his density by directly manipulating the stone in his head (note how it lights up and all her energy seems to be directed to it), essentially using his power against himself. It’s an awesome glimpse into just how powerful she is.
but the thing is, as I think CinemaWins? said in their video on CA:CW, she isn't manipulating anything about Vision but his density. He eventually becomes so dense that gravity acts against him and he crashes through the floor. Physics huh, I'll never get over that stuff

Honestly I think Vision is really underrated as a *character*. He’s this collection of juxtapositions. He’s naive yet wise, kind but ridiculously intelligent - I think with the right kind of writing he could be really compelling - Bettany does a brilliant job.
Same!! I love that we get to see Paul Bettany really show off his range as Vision. That kitchen scene in Episode 5 is still embedded in my subconscious for how great his performance was!
I love how future MCU movies retroactively make other ones better. After watching Infinity War, Endgame, and WandaVision, revisiting Age of Ultron feels a lot more tragic knowing that Vision was the only thing getting her through losing Pietro.

She didn't give two shits about Pietro post AoU. You can speculate that Vision helped her get over it but the MCU did him dirty by having him no lasting impact on her character other than trying to give AoU more stakes.

I recently researched AOU and onmy realized that when Cap says "What kind of monster who let a German scientist experiment on them to protect their country?" he is literally stating what happened to him in 1942. He is already sympathizing with them without even sharing a word with them. Man I love Cap so fricking much.
I genuinely feel so bad for Wanda. After Endgame everyone went back to their family and loved ones, but Wanda had no one left. All she had was a note from “V”. My heart breaks for her. She’s such a tragic character. Elizabeth Olsen portrays her beautifully. Her acting has really had a chance to shine in WandaVision.
I remember people criticizing Hawkeye's dialogue with Wanda, but to me it was one of the best parts of the movie. Their relationship in general has been great in the MCU. I'm surprised he hasn't been mentioned as appearing in Wanda/Vision, but maybe he will be there for the fallout in the next movies. I wish we got a Hawkeye movie, but at least we'll see him in his show.
Wanda is my favourite character in the MCU. Just love how she goes from being hesitant to use her powers to being the strongest avenger by far in the endgame fight

"Spidey's death is a tearjerker, but this is even sadder" I think that the whole scene is heartbreaking. We've got this one, we've got spiderman begging for his life in iron mans arms, we got groot reaching out for rocket and calling out to him as he fades, we got okoye falling to the ground as black panther tries to help her and fades... even the characters who don't die still have a look of horror and pain as well as captain America's last words of the movie. They took one of the most optimistic and heroic heroes and they left him broken on the ground!!! Sorry for the rant, just feel like from the moment thanos shows up in wakandia to the time the credits roll, that movie is nonstop tears.
It's their best romance because they are actually allowed to be shown as a couple. Granted the other "romances"/flings in the MCU are (plus it also depends on the script, directing, and presentation) fine, but they never get that much time in the movies to flesh them out and make them an actual couple.
I'm not into love stories, but these two absolutely got me. Their story was built with patience, and this asset came to its glory in Wandavision, so sincere and moving.

I always found it ironic that one of the strongest relationships in the MCU to me is the meme that is Steve/Bucky. I can kinda see where people are coming from. A LOT of time was spent on their relationship compared to any other relationship in the whole MCU. Even Steve who had several love interests spanning his movies, nobody got a second to even make their case compared to Bucky. I'm not on the "they were gay" bandwagon, it wasn't written like that but damn does Steve drop everything on a dime for Bucky. People say "oh well, it's him mourning Peggy's death. Bucky is the last remnant of Steve's past". And yes while that is true, they severely UNDERSOLD Peggy and Steve's relationship and oversold Bucky and Steve's relationship if that was their point. I was unhappy with Steve's ending for the LONGEST time (and if I truly sit down and think about it in my heart of hearts I am still unhappy about it). And the reason is that I wasn't sold on Steve's attachment to Peggy. Huge amounts of time went by without more than a passing reference and she had a happy life with another man, that shit was laid to rest TWS, and then who is Steve to highjack that life anyway... Here I go again about this. Better stop now, lmao.
One nice thing about watching this now, is how much Bettany gets to do in the tv show. They both do, and it's very satisfying on that level of 'actor getting chance to show they have chops'.

Not to mention it would be a little confusing if they just recast Quicksilver in the MCU with Quicksilver from the Fox X-men films even if they own the X-men and somehow explain the change of actors through the multiverse. They could have Evan Peters as a grown up Speed (Scarlet Witch's speedster son).

0:08 as much as I love the MCU, I will say that Emily VanCamp was wasted in how underutilized the role was and Bruce and Nat just has me scratch my head (like, I don't hate it, but I don't get it)
@Radical Larry Bruce is nearly old enough to be Natasha's father and it has been established that he can't have sex. Also, he nearly killed her at one point in his Hulk form. NOTHING about this romance makes sense, which is EXACTLY why it is the one romance in the MCU which involved a lot narration to defend why they are together, while all the other pairings happened way more organically.
It had potential to be a great romance given the themes and the characterization as They see themselves as unworthy of affection. ScarJo and Ruffalo are also good actors but we saw too little for it to be convincing. And the writing was slightly awkward. However, when Hulk sees Widow in Ragnorok I did feel the emotional depth and it was pretty good. But the payoff would’ve been better if we were more invested in their relationship. Wanda and Vision’s relationship was expected given the comics but the movies actually built it up organically. What isn’t seen on screen is easy to discover unlike Nat and Bruce’s relationship.
@@swanpride well... I hate the romance too but I think you're wrong about the age difference. She's a super soldier like cap and I believe she ages at a slower pace then everyone else. I believe she's closer to Hawkeyes age and was created closer to the height of Soviet power. Again, I could be wrong and I hate the romance too, but I think the character is supposed to be in her late 40's or early 50's and just ages more slowly than everyone else.

wandavision is probably based on a story in the comics where wanda has the power to alter reality, she erases all mutants and makes a world where she can be happy with a family

It's interesting how Age of Ultron tried with Natasha and Banner and it fell rather flat but then Wanda and Vision had one scene involving paprikash and I already wanted to see them together.
The comments are leading me to think a FitzSimmons video essay would be a huge hit. Seriously, FitzSimmons might be my favourite couple, not just of the MCU, but out of all film and television. I cannot recall another romance that made me feel so strongly for both characters. Part of it is seeing how their romance develops over multiple seasons from friendship, but I think a lot can be said of how _Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D._ tugs at the viewer's heartstrings by keeping them apart so much. They spend entire seasons just trying to get back to each other, and every time they get close, events pull them even further apart. It's heartbreaking, and I've never screamed at the TV that much at something I genuinely loved.
I really think the last episode of Wanda was a way Vision was allowed to grow. He disobeys Wanda and doesn’t talk to her about his suspicion, he goes on his own, and he tries to help people on his own. I like to see him grow without her a little bit
Part of me likes to think that Thanos allowed Wanda to destroy the mind stone (and Vision) just to see if she was capable of sacrificing a loved one for "the greater good". In same the way that he challenged Peter Quill to do it to Garoma earlier. Knowing full well that he would be able reverse time to restore the mind stone.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier video idea : Sam / Steve / Bucky : The MCU's Best Bromance It would be a good video to recaps the events surrounding the characters before the show and it fits in pretty well considering MCU is currently selling the show as a buddy cop comedy.
Honestly all of team cap deserves a video. Especially the dynamic between Sam and Steve. They even state it in the movie “ I do what he does, just slower”. Natasha too because she has a movie coming out and how the comic relationship between Natasha and Bucky is different from the movies

WandaVision was my introduction to MCU. I absolutely loved it and I had to go back to the other films to fill in the gaps. WandaVision is about Wanda grief and by the end she learns to let go of her traumatic past.but I do agree about the characters, I guess it’s hard to develop characters when they have such limited amount of screen time.

SPOILERS FOR WANDA VISION EP4 AND EP5 When wanda grabbed that drone and brought it to the sword base with her accent looking like a bad ass i was so hyped for more wanda vision.. It's such a good show
Vision isn't using cold logic in that Civil War scene. Next to Black Widow, he's the most selfless and emotionally intelligent member of the Avengers. This is about how humanity views the Avengers versus how the Avengers think they should be viewed. Wanda doesn't want peoples' judgments determining her self-worth, but Vision tries to explain that no matter how good her intentions she's still kind of a former international terrorist harbored by the US government who killed hundreds of people accidentally in an illegal police action on foreign soil and powerful people need to be held accountable. He's thinking about humanity and the place of the powerful in it, she's thinking about the powerful and how humanity needs to know its place. EDIT: Wanda responds to Clint being nice to Natasha by slamming her into a wall and getting pissed at him for pulling his punches. Vision doesn't shoot down Rhodey because he lost his humanity, he misses his shot at Sam because he's distracted by Wanda being taken out in the fight. It's not Vision's lack of humanity, it's Vision's vulnerability to the exact same emotions as everyone else that causes the tragedy. And what makes it even more tragic is that Vision has been saying this over and over the whole movie. This is the theme of Civil War. Cap keeps making the decisions that protect his friends because they're the only people he trusts to have any power. But his friends keep making simple, dumb human decisions that blow up spectacularly. Cap's very own lie about Bucky's role in Tony's parents' death for years and refusal to ask anyone else for help with the Super Soldiers when Sam suggests it ends up blowing up in his face when Zemo uses it against him in that missile silo.
I'm so glad someone else sees the problem of steve being brought back for diana and then disappearing again. I loved their relationship and it felt very frustrating to see steve be back for the sake of being back and then being gone AGAIN.
I'm okay with bringing a character 'back from the dead' if there's an interesting meaning to it. Vision is a completely new character in Wanda vision. And i think it's an interesting take on it. Though I worry Loki won't provide anything new
I’ve heard ppl say Wanda and Vision are the weakest Avengers, but people don’t realize that Wanda took on Thanos by herself twice and did major damage. Vision wiped out Ultron in a second when no one else could possibly do so. They ARE the MCU’s power couple.
Honestly I love the subtle & well written Romance between Wanda and Vision❤💚 It has been so great & hopefully it will bring a LOT more happiness than their comic counterparts🥺😤❤👍🏾
The moment when Thanos brings Vision back to life only to kill him is, oddly enough, the moment that I really fell in love with them. Maybe because of how poignant that whole moment is.

Pepper and tony are the most iconic and memorable though admittedly while pepper helps develop Tony’s character a huge amount, there isn’t enough focus vice versa for it to be called the best couple. Wanda and vision are entertained in plot, character and emotionally so therefore you are correct in saying they are the most well written. (Though pepper and tony are still my favourite)
At first i was totally weirded out by them getting together in infinity war, but i’ve grown to love them so much. Even now in Wandavision they just feel so in love. It’s very organic.
I wonder if WandaVision will bring up what happened to Vision's body. My theory is that it's most likely being stored in either Wakanda, or a S.W.O.R.D. Facility.

Top 5 MCU characters in terms of character development: 1. Steve Rogers (Captain America) 2. Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) 3. Tony Stark (Iron Man) 4. Natasha Romonov (Black Widow) 5. Bruce Banner (Hulk) The only reason Wanda isn’t number one is because her arc isn’t complete yet. But I have a feeling after WandaVision is over, she will be at the top of my list.
Thank you for this. Watching this after this masterpiece that was WandaVision (imo), but I got real tired of people constantly saying that they didn't already have a believable, well-developed romance. Maybe it was because I've loved them since I was young, but I was paying close attention to every moment with them, and I thought it was beautifully done.
That show is great. I really hope they bring them into the movies moving forward. I know technically they're in a different timeline now due to the time loop they got caught in in season 5, but still...

First of all Peggy/Cap for life!! (Or Fitz/Simmons depending on your stance for the canonicity of Agents of SHIELD.) But I find it strange that you state Vision is best used when he's affecting Wanda's arc right after complaining about how him being back to affect Wanda's arc is cheap and he should stay dead. There's a way to do it without him I guess but the fact that he's here at all once again shows just how powerful she really is with her reality altering abilities!

*After WandaVision, it just proves more that they really are MCU's best romance, specially that ending scene in the finale where they bid goodbye to each other. What a beautiful series*

I think that the whole scene is heartbreaking. We've got this one, we've got spiderman begging for his life in iron mans arms, we got groot reaching out for rocket and calling out to him as he fades, we got okoye falling to the ground as black panther tries to help her and fades... even the characters who don't die still have a look of horror and pain as well as captain America's last words of the movie. They took one of the most optimistic and heroic heroes and they left him broken on the ground!!!
Sorry for the rant, just feel like from the moment thanos shows up in wakandia to the time the credits roll, that movie is nonstop tears.
It's their best romance because they are actually allowed to be shown as a couple. Granted the other "romances"/flings in the MCU are (plus it also depends on the script, directing, and presentation) fine, but they never get that much time in the movies to flesh them out and make them an actual couple.
I'm not into love stories, but these two absolutely got me. Their story was built with patience, and this asset came to its glory in Wandavision, so sincere and moving.

I always found it ironic that one of the strongest relationships in the MCU to me is the meme that is Steve/Bucky. I can kinda see where people are coming from. A LOT of time was spent on their relationship compared to any other relationship in the whole MCU. Even Steve who had several love interests spanning his movies, nobody got a second to even make their case compared to Bucky. I'm not on the "they were gay" bandwagon, it wasn't written like that but damn does Steve drop everything on a dime for Bucky. People say "oh well, it's him mourning Peggy's death. Bucky is the last remnant of Steve's past". And yes while that is true, they severely UNDERSOLD Peggy and Steve's relationship and oversold Bucky and Steve's relationship if that was their point. I was unhappy with Steve's ending for the LONGEST time (and if I truly sit down and think about it in my heart of hearts I am still unhappy about it). And the reason is that I wasn't sold on Steve's attachment to Peggy. Huge amounts of time went by without more than a passing reference and she had a happy life with another man, that shit was laid to rest TWS, and then who is Steve to highjack that life anyway... Here I go again about this. Better stop now, lmao.
One nice thing about watching this now, is how much Bettany gets to do in the tv show. They both do, and it's very satisfying on that level of 'actor getting chance to show they have chops'.

0:08 as much as I love the MCU, I will say that Emily VanCamp was wasted in how underutilized the role was and Bruce and Nat just has me scratch my head (like, I don't hate it, but I don't get it)
@Radical Larry Bruce is nearly old enough to be Natasha's father and it has been established that he can't have sex. Also, he nearly killed her at one point in his Hulk form. NOTHING about this romance makes sense, which is EXACTLY why it is the one romance in the MCU which involved a lot narration to defend why they are together, while all the other pairings happened way more organically.
It had potential to be a great romance given the themes and the characterization as They see themselves as unworthy of affection. ScarJo and Ruffalo are also good actors but we saw too little for it to be convincing. And the writing was slightly awkward. However, when Hulk sees Widow in Ragnorok I did feel the emotional depth and it was pretty good. But the payoff would’ve been better if we were more invested in their relationship.
Wanda and Vision’s relationship was expected given the comics but the movies actually built it up organically. What isn’t seen on screen is easy to discover unlike Nat and Bruce’s relationship.

@@swanpride well... I hate the romance too but I think you're wrong about the age difference. She's a super soldier like cap and I believe she ages at a slower pace then everyone else. I believe she's closer to Hawkeyes age and was created closer to the height of Soviet power.
Again, I could be wrong and I hate the romance too, but I think the character is supposed to be in her late 40's or early 50's and just ages more slowly than everyone else.

wandavision is probably based on a story in the comics where wanda has the power to alter reality, she erases all mutants and makes a world where she can be happy with a family
That and the Vision and The Scarlet Witch mini-series from the mid 80’s, which saw Wanda and Vision settle down in a small New Jersey town and have twin sons named William and Thomas

She density shifts him. Not telekinetic throwing him. She literally made him so dense and heavy that gravity forced him into the earths crust.

Seriously, FitzSimmons might be my favourite couple, not just of the MCU, but out of all film and television. I cannot recall another romance that made me feel so strongly for both characters. Part of it is seeing how their romance develops over multiple seasons from friendship, but I think a lot can be said of how _Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D._ tugs at the viewer's heartstrings by keeping them apart so much. They spend entire seasons just trying to get back to each other, and every time they get close, events pull them even further apart. It's heartbreaking, and I've never screamed at the TV that much at something I genuinely loved.

I really think the last episode of Wanda was a way Vision was allowed to grow. He disobeys Wanda and doesn’t talk to her about his suspicion, he goes on his own, and he tries to help people on his own. I like to see him grow without her a little bit
Part of me likes to think that Thanos allowed Wanda to destroy the mind stone (and Vision) just to see if she was capable of sacrificing a loved one for "the greater good". In same the way that he challenged Peter Quill to do it to Garoma earlier. Knowing full well that he would be able reverse time to restore the mind stone.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier video idea : Sam / Steve / Bucky : The MCU's Best Bromance It would be a good video to recaps the events surrounding the characters before the show and it fits in pretty well considering MCU is currently selling the show as a buddy cop comedy.
Honestly all of team cap deserves a video. Especially the dynamic between Sam and Steve. They even state it in the movie “ I do what he does, just slower”. Natasha too because she has a movie coming out and how the comic relationship between Natasha and Bucky is different from the movies

WandaVision was my introduction to MCU. I absolutely loved it and I had to go back to the other films to fill in the gaps. WandaVision is about Wanda grief and by the end she learns to let go of her traumatic past.but I do agree about the characters, I guess it’s hard to develop characters when they have such limited amount of screen time.

When wanda grabbed that drone and brought it to the sword base with her accent looking like a bad ass i was so hyped for more wanda vision.. It's such a good show
Wanda is one of if not my favorite, Vision up there with her for sure.
Vision isn't using cold logic in that Civil War scene. Next to Black Widow, he's the most selfless and emotionally intelligent member of the Avengers. This is about how humanity views the Avengers versus how the Avengers think they should be viewed. Wanda doesn't want peoples' judgments determining her self-worth, but Vision tries to explain that no matter how good her intentions she's still kind of a former international terrorist harbored by the US government who killed hundreds of people accidentally in an illegal police action on foreign soil and powerful people need to be held accountable. He's thinking about humanity and the place of the powerful in it, she's thinking about the powerful and how humanity needs to know its place.
EDIT: Wanda responds to Clint being nice to Natasha by slamming her into a wall and getting pissed at him for pulling his punches. Vision doesn't shoot down Rhodey because he lost his humanity, he misses his shot at Sam because he's distracted by Wanda being taken out in the fight. It's not Vision's lack of humanity, it's Vision's vulnerability to the exact same emotions as everyone else that causes the tragedy. And what makes it even more tragic is that Vision has been saying this over and over the whole movie.
This is the theme of Civil War. Cap keeps making the decisions that protect his friends because they're the only people he trusts to have any power. But his friends keep making simple, dumb human decisions that blow up spectacularly. Cap's very own lie about Bucky's role in Tony's parents' death for years and refusal to ask anyone else for help with the Super Soldiers when Sam suggests it ends up blowing up in his face when Zemo uses it against him in that missile silo.
I'm so glad someone else sees the problem of steve being brought back for diana and then disappearing again. I loved their relationship and it felt very frustrating to see steve be back for the sake of being back and then being gone AGAIN.
I'm okay with bringing a character 'back from the dead' if there's an interesting meaning to it. Vision is a completely new character in Wanda vision. And i think it's an interesting take on it. Though I worry Loki won't provide anything new
I’ve heard ppl say Wanda and Vision are the weakest Avengers, but people don’t realize that Wanda took on Thanos by herself twice and did major damage. Vision wiped out Ultron in a second when no one else could possibly do so.

The moment when Thanos brings Vision back to life only to kill him is, oddly enough, the moment that I really fell in love with them. Maybe because of how poignant that whole moment is.

Pepper and tony are the most iconic and memorable though admittedly while pepper helps develop Tony’s character a huge amount, there isn’t enough focus vice versa for it to be called the best couple. Wanda and vision are entertained in plot, character and emotionally so therefore you are correct in saying they are the most well written. (Though pepper and tony are still my favourite)
At first i was totally weirded out by them getting together in infinity war, but i’ve grown to love them so much. Even now in Wandavision they just feel so in love. It’s very organic.

Watching this after this masterpiece that was WandaVision (imo), but I got real tired of people constantly saying that they didn't already have a believable, well-developed romance. Maybe it was because I've loved them since I was young, but I was paying close attention to every moment with them, and I thought it was beautifully done.

But I find it strange that you state Vision is best used when he's affecting Wanda's arc right after complaining about how him being back to affect Wanda's arc is cheap and he should stay dead. There's a way to do it without him I guess but the fact that he's here at all once again shows just how powerful she really is with her reality altering abilities!
