4 years later, achievement still bugged - you can get it without even beating the campaign if you play until a game over. Came here just for an idea of how to even beat this on Hard, the first wave of rams is just insane. I usually don't go for Mangonels against the AI because of their insane auto-avoid micro, but I guess having a way to quickly deal with ram at range is reason enough.
Just tried this again on hard while trying this achievement. And I have to say your video offered 2 really useful tactics: Massing xbows and spamming houses near shallow. It seems like green will never get attacked if orange is alive.
That map seems to be tought as hell. Obviously, you could assault and destroy enemies's camps, but something tells me that then troops would start spawning from the edges of the map pushing you back at cuzco
Nothing wrong, about having a couple monks just loitering behind the castle... So that when a battle is over, then you can go back and heal your remaining troops. Sometimes the enemy waits enough time, so that all is as good as new
Slingers are like Hand Cannoniers but for meso civs, they hit hard, but they have low hp in a defense mission like this one I think Crossbows are better for their durability
@@agatastanik5947 Hmm, I think DE can still open the old scenario files. You might be able to extract the scenarios from the HD Edition and use them if you want to play it on DE.
I think the two main reasons are they wanted the Incas campaign to focus on the Incas civilization and they wanted it to be more historically accurate.
El Dorado was very racist too. There was a cannibalistic tribe called El Negros at the end. Yikes. That said, I do with Inca campaign can have some other civ instead of Inca vs Inca every mission

@Matthew Robinson Yep
This achievement is actually bugged right now - you can get it even when building walls
Yeah, I've seen that. Might as well do the fun thing and not build walls anyway. :)
This is true. It took me like 2 hours and miles of walls because I'm a noob, then I finally completed it and got the achievement. Like wat, okay

Yeah. Most stupid thing (or smartest thing) is, even you block the spawn points with walls, the map automictically remove them...-_-

If someone said that cyan is the best color in AOE II HD/DE is because it alose likes Hatsume Miku . Right ?
RIGHT ??
🤔
It is also possible to destroy red because you outtech them, have to be fast though since they kick their production in overgear
Isy (If u can Sniper the trebuchets before losing your Castle).
Why did you pick crossbows instead of slingers? Shouldn't they work better?
They'd probably work too, but Arbalest are a bit easier to micro and are better at picking off siege.

wait, they added an inca campaign???
Pachacuti replaces the old El Dorado campaign.
oh okay
@@T-West oh that's cool! I wonder what happened to the Amazons though...
Wait where is Francesco Orlean they changed IT for another campaign
Yeah, the El Dorado campaign has been swapped out for this Pachacuti campaign.
@@T-West sad i like old one

Does anyone have a answer that why they removed El Dorado and replaced it with this campaign?
