Cheers fella tried to swap the ic seals on my 535d and couldn't get that top one off so just done bottoms, but the top was where it was pissing out. Doing an oil change tomorrow so I'll have another crack at it. Thanks mate!
If the one you couldn't get off was the one at the turbo, you will have to drop that corner of the intercooler down to get some play in that hose to be able to pull it off.
Really good vids. Makes everything easy (ish ) to do from the way you make the vids. Other zvzids I've watched are not as sf explanatory. Keep it up. I'm sure you've ready made one but I need to see egr delete vid
Nice video, I have an E70 35d that keeps having the red charge hose (hot turbo side) pop out of the intercooler. Very frustrating as it results in instantly tremendous boost loss and black smoke.
Good video, but you could also record other bits and pieces removing the hoses, plugging, etc.. for me easy looking details are sometimes where I get stuck. You could also put ads in video for some revenue too perhaps if it is longer
The ones that come with the ATM intercooler appear to be completely different than the ones I installed. If you are planning on going with an intercooler in the future I would definitely wait.
Just purchased these two hoses for 335d. Primary indication was oil leaking on red hose on turbo outlet side. I assume installing both also will prevent boost leaks at turbo outlet, intercooler inlet, and AVS inlet. How about turbo outlet? Is the OEM seal adequate there?
OEM Seals work good on both ends of hose at turbo outlet as well as at intercooler outlet to intake side. Only issue is the factory turbo outlet hoses blow out when going to higher boost levels. The inlet connection at the throttle valve also has a tendency to get brittle and explode at higher boost levels.
Do you think replacing the top hose that goes on the throttle body is really necessary? My x5 is in the shop now getting a malone stage 2 tune, definitely going to get the turbo outlet hose upgraded but wondering if the one going to the throttle body is necessary.
Can you advise, I have 335d and have had an egr delete DPF has been removed from the canister, but I still have a whistling noise under hard acceleration could this be related to the charge pipes.?Car does not smoke, performance is fine .fuel consumption much better. Whistling was evident before EGR and DPF delete took place. Car was given stage 1 tune , Annual vehicle checks look to check DPF is still present in Britain thats why could not fit a straight pipe like you from ( Beemer 335)
Whistling under hard acceleration is most likely a boost leak of some kind. These vehicles make so much boost that they can have a small boost leak and it will not present any noticeable issues with performance or set any fault codes for it. Boost leaks can be hard to find on these cars. I have been able to find them sometimes with using smoke and pressure in the intake system. Sometimes the pressure from a smoke diagnostic machine is not enough to cause the leak to happen, just due to the smoke machine not passing enough pressure through it from the shop air connection. They make special fittings that connect into the intake system and present regulated pressure from a shop hose into one port and smoke from a smoke machine into another port to fill the system with smoke and pressure equivalent to what it would see under boost to help locate leaks.
I have no experience with any aftermarket exhaust on the 335d. The only thing I have heard is with a downpipe and the scr housing gutted. This setup sounds stock when sitting idling. Is slightly louder volume wise when acclerating, but you get a ton of turbo whistle. Kind of sounds like a jet engine.
keep it up man, you're doing an awesome service to anyone with a 335d,
I am about to do the lower hose. Thanks for the tip that I need to remove the intercooler to do this sanely.
Hey, just wanted to send thanks for the video and tips in regards to the hose clip removal!

Glad you like them! EGR delete video is in the playlist along with all the other stuff I've done to this vehicle.
Really really awesome job man
thanks, this is definitely gonna help!

I am getting ready to install a new stepped intercooler. I have the replacement hose coming from the turbo but going to RE-use the driver side hose.
What brand intercooler and pipe are you going with?
Aar2476 from tunemyeuro
With the ATM pipe
Excellent presentation thanks.
That is a sweet car!!!
Thanks for the video, 👍
Atm nice. I ordered my downpipe from them 2 days ago. do those pipes you have come with the atm intercooler or do i have to order them separately?

Where can i find the house if you can provide me the website please thank you
Planning on changing these for my 335d, not necessary to change the lower one from the throttlebody?
I dont think it's necessary. I've never had an issue with the bottom one on that side.
where are you located?

Supposedly the one going to the throttle can break under higher boost. Never seen it myself just heard of it happening.

the intercoooler and turbo chargepipe is short to me, I can't install it, can you help me? same car, 335d e92.
Are you using the factory intercooler?
@@MunkysGarage no, replica Wagner evo1
Did the intercooler hoses come with the intercooler? Are they factory or aftermarket?
@@MunkysGarage what
what type of exhaust do you say is the best sounding on the 335d???

I NEED YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some idiots can't put E90 F30 etc....335d says nothing.
I'm sorry sir. I live in the united states and the 335d only came in the E90 chassis. But I will update the descriptions to help you differentiate.
If you can’t figure out what generation of 335d this is after 10 seconds of watching, then you shouldn’t be working on cars.
I mean really... come on now. Trying to seem smart and end up saying something dumb as hell! Lol
