Thanks for being so chill and showing things like mealybugs and the bald crown on your prostrata. Nothing is ever perfect in nature and I sometimes forget that.
I really liked the informal tone of the vlog as a 'side dish' to the main Plant One on Me episodes. I seem to be adding more peps so I have thoroughly enjoyed these tips and information.
What a great treat it has been this week. Great video, out on the street, having lunch with you..then a great home tour. Love seeing how you display and place the plants. Thank you Summer, what a great week.
Obsessed with your plant video’s. I’ve never been into plants, but a year ago I bought like 2 plants and am totally OBSESSED right now. I bought my 22nd plant yesterday haha.. thanks for all your tips and advices. It really helps. 😊🌿
I felt like I was walking with you trying to rush you over so see the Hens😅 I enjoy all you do. I have a mobile grooming business in Orlando Florida, as I put your videos on for a background noise and education on plants. Listening to you I groom in total serene. Thank you Summer!
Thank you for putting out such great content. Your videos are what sparked my plant lust which lucky for me it turned into love and a green, lush home. I too, like a previous commenter, tend to bunch my plants near windows out of fear they will starve. When I see your home in your videos I remember to relax and listen to the plants. I believe I may have a few species in my collection that you don't seem to have, let me know if you'd be interested in cuttings and I'd be happy to send a few. I have Peperomia a macrostachya and a huge Peperomia trinervula. Thanks again for all the great info.
Hi Jamie, so wonderful that your home has turned into a lush carpet of greenery! I don't know where you're based, but you should definitely come to one of our plant swaps (if in the area) to do some cutting exchanges :) Thanks for tuning into the channel.
@@summerrayneoakes I would love too but alas, I'm in SW Florida. If you find yourself back down here near NSE tropicals, we are not far here in Naples. Also, you mentioned the scent of the Pep flowers in this video, my trinervula smells amazing... Kinda cannabis like.
I have several health problems. One of them, fibromyalgia, causes loss of sleep. It's 3:09 a.m. here in Charlotte, NC & I just finished watching this wonderful video. Thank you so, so much Summer! Even tho I sometimes have to write notes to remember stuff, this was very relaxing to me. Do I think I'll be able to go to sleep now? I don't think so; but, at least I'm no longer wound up as tight as a banjo string! Your collection is mind-boggling! Seriously! Two of your last 3 videos have added sooo many more plants to my Plant Wishlist! Why only 2 of them? SOMEHOW, I got confused & didn't watch the middle one yet! By the time I realized what I had done, I was already involved with this one & there was no way that I was going to turn back! My daughter gifted me with the 'Rana Verde' for my birthday in November. It's STILL growing like crazy and I LOVE this plant! What variety of Aglaomena is that beside your 'Rana Verde' under that ficus? It's gorgeous! The lady who I bought my first 'Rosso' from had a lot of other peperomias and she told me that Peperomia 'Ruby Cascade' is the devil! Lol! She said that she can grow almost everything else that she's ever tried; but, 'Ruby Cascade' hates her! Too funny! That last Peperomia scandens on the top left side of a case at the SW facing window is absolutely loving it's life! A truly happy plant! It's been a very long time since I ate dinner; so, I'm going to save your 2nd video in this series and go find something to eat! Thank you Summer for sharing your plants, home & knowledge with your followers/subscribers. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for a video or series of them devoted to hoyas, my favorite plants! Take care & Plant Love! 🌾💜
Sweet we haven't had you for so long and then bam you give us three in a row in a week!! Thank you so much, plus the Kippy Posse in the end that was so cute!
"integrated pest management"- (laugh) my friends thought that I was crazy for releasing a bunch of ladybugs into my apartment. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one! Seriously, though. I really like the new casual format and the 'in the natural habitat' tour. I like the glimpses of all the other treasures in your jungle. Thank you for sharing.
Peperomia meridiana does extremely well in a terrarium. It will spread and needs to be kept in check because it forms thick mats. Also, loving the "Adventures with Miss SRO" new format! 👏😁
Your extemporaneous discussion of light requirements was quite interesting. When growing plants indoors there is almost always a compromise made between the ideal and the available cultural conditions. Most plants, even some of the finickiest, will do ok even when one or two of their preferred environmental factors are minimally provided. By example; at one time I grew a number of different types of orchids in a ‘sun room ‘. The light was great, the humidity good but the temperatures, day and night, were well below those recommended. All of the plants did well and flowered nicely. Some grew slower than they would under ideal temperatures but they grew properly.
My reaction involved Crown & Ginger! Later, I realized the "mealy bug" was ACTUALLY a tiny piece of paper towel from absorbing water on a hoya leaf; but, man, what a remedy! Lol!
It was recently cottonwood season and I saw a bit of fluff on my plants and went into full panic mode. I thought half my plants were infested before I realized I’d left the back door open and fluff was all over my house.
I would rather have mealy bugs on all my plants than spider mites on ONE 😂 Mealy are super easy to control but spider mites are seriously from the pits of hell.
I watched this again with my husband and it was even more awesome lol we adore you! the fact that you have chicken growing in Brooklyn, is just beautiful... we need more humans like you in this planet.
Just looking fondly through the old photo albums. So much has happened in the last 2 marathon years. Much success and good times, then you can afford a meal and enjoy it with friends. It is possible to do all of this work when you are young so go for it. Am watching your Flock channel too. I like these quiet videos as well. Maybe new fans would like this channel too. 😊🐔🐔
I know this was posted a year ago but I recently found you and now trying to catch up!! Lol I have a major crush on anything peperomia and I find that you are very informative. ❤️
I love this episode 😍 I've never been too fond of peperomia but you've definitely sparked an interest for them! Shoutout to Apricot for being so cute 😍
I very much enjoy your channel. I go to nurseries and just drool now! Sadly, I'm not home often enough to bring home many of the beautiful plant babies. The footage of Kellie and Company was adorable!
Great tour and information. I'm looking into Peperomias, and wanted more information. I love how the chickens run to you when you called. So adorable! I'm glad you took care of them before the hawk.. lol. Thank you for the video.
Found 'Rana Verde' several months ago here in NH. I grabbed two because they're quite scarce. Very nice plant. I've got several huge pots and hanging baskets of P. quad...they''re very drought-tolerant...they seem happy with watering perhaps twice a month.
I love your videos; seeing all those plants makes me happy and I'm learning so much! Thank you! And I really loved the ones about peperomia (I watched the 3 more than once), this genus is one of my new plant related obsessions.
I love watching your videos they are so calming . I love all of your plants since i have been watching your videos i have gained 40 plants lol and i am enjoying all of them. Thanks for all your videos.
Summer... I have been on the hunt for a peperomia and a monstera plus a pink lady, like crazy!!! The peperomia hoffmannia looks so cool, the way it grows!! I swear, I end up getting so upset because I can never find these varieties here😆 the hardest part for me, is choosing which one I want to get because they are all amazing and unique! I've been a grower and collector for about 6 years now, and love the beauty mother nature has to offer us, right at the tips of our fingers! It's always such a pleasure to watch anything you post! Love your house set up too so much! I can't wait to set mine up similar, I am a crazy plant lady for sure! 😀 People always ask me, "are you ever going to stop buying and adding to what you have?", I said "no way!!". The more the better for me 😁 Thanks for sharing! I love watching you 💟

Just seen the part where you discussed brown on your undesides of your watermelon pep. Got up to compare the brown on my new rana verde pep that was just delivered. Threw a sweater on it and moved it to a different spot!
Also, I can relate to the poor plants on the floor being kicked around. I have quite a few on my floor and I actually don't kick them. But when I have company, good luck.
Earth Boy Sun And Rain. I put a plant on the floor once. A big one. Then my cat decided his litter box was boring and he needed a new place to go... 😑 There are no more plants on the floor.

Hi Summer! Very interesting video, especially for someone like me who just discovered my love for peps....I only have a very small one but love her very much. Lately I m a bit concerned about her leaves which look ...textured ...I have no idea what it might be..
