I couldn't agree more. Masyadong saturated na ang vlogs these days ng Materialism na parang naiimpose tuloy sa mga kabataan is to acquire and acquire these things na apparently don't matter in the end. Thea sets herself apart from these UA-camrs na madalas wala ng sense ang content.

I’ve just adapted the delayed gratification concept sa spending ko this year. I’m also keeping a wishlist of items I want and I have set some questions to ask myself before making a purchase:
- How will this add value to my collection?
- Have I attempted to dupe this item?
- Is it economically responsible to purchase this?
- Is there a chance that I can purchase this on sale?

Been a viewer since 2019.. Thea knows the value of her hard-earned money which is the very reason of her content, and that is mainly to educate esp the young ones na masyadong nabubudol ng ibang content creators given their immature reasoning pa sa buhay. Frankly, I'd have to say na mas magandang may background talaga yung content creator working from a diff industry unlike others who are oblivious abt the certain truths and realities sa buhay.
Kudos to you Thea👍👍 Keep educating the people esp the young ones these days about the value of money at hindi yung puro kaprityuhan lang.
Public school teacher ako for 8 years, single, matagal na ako sa service kaso I am financially unstable, I mean I am lacking financial skills. My goal for myself this year is to start up my personal savings. Tagal ko ng plan kaso laginv nauudlot kasi ang dami pang loans na kailanganng i settle. Fortunately, I settled all of it last 2020, its been 7 years loans hehehe. Sana mafulfill ko ang goal ko this year,🙂🙂🙂

you can do it po! I had loans in multiple banks and focused myself using snow-ball payment. I paid off £20k less than a year. work lang ako nag work and not think of the number pasta every time I get paid from hospital I transferred the money straight to payback my loan. before I knew it paid off na ako, nakakagaan. think of the outcome you will get, peace of mind. pasta focus ka lang and surround urself with people who will support u, but if u don't have much support then have faith in urself :D kayo mo yan x
@@clairesullano788 kung enough lang sana ang salary ng teacher sa Pinas di talaga malulubog sa loans ang teachers. Syempre gusto may maipundar kahit paano, magkaroon ng maayos na bahay, at iba pa kaya sa loans lang umaasa. Masarap po talaga ang feeling na paid off mo na ang loans mo, sa hinaba haba ng panahon nag pagbabayad. Pinlit ko tlga tapusin ang liabilities ko 7 years kahit na meron pa akong gustong projects for myself. Iba pa rin kasi if malaki laki ang salary na natatanggap mo monthly, may chance ng makapagsave ng malaki for future plans na di na kelangan mag loan. Off course, loan is part of our teacher's life😄, kaming mahihirap na teachers yun lng tlaga ang sandalan. Susubukan kong ifullfill ang goal ko this year na makasave man lang kahit kunti. Thanks po sa motivation.
@@clairesullano788 wow naman po you paid it for less than a year only laki po siguro ng sweldo nyu maam.😃 Samantalang anv Teacher dito sa Pinas 22k+ di pa buo may deductions pa, buti na nga lng wala ng tax, kasi kunv may tax pa ewan ko n lng kakarampot na lng matitira. Idagdag pa ang loan sa banks wala na talaga, yung iba resibo na lng, nasasangla pa ang ATM cards. So sad talaga😕 Ako I paid my multiple bank loans from 2014-2020, 7 years hehehe...kaya I promise to myself na refrain muna sa loans hanggat maaari para nmn makapag enjoy sa medyo malaking sahod monthly at makapagsimulang makapag ipon na rin.

I also practice delayed gratification then I "hoard smartly" since every month naman na meron yung mga 2.2 3.3 sales na yan I take advantage of the savings and the free shipping plus extra vouchers then make sure I don't spend any of these items for at least 3 months interval

Would like to share some of the questions I like to ask myself before purchasing any of my wants para iwas budol or impulsive buying and to become more intentional with my purchases 😅
1. Will this add value to my life?
2. Did I plan to buy this?
3. Can I afford this now?
4. Do I have something similar?
5. Why am I buying this? Will it truly make me happy or do I really need it?
6. Will it be worth it if I solve for the use or cost-per-wear?
Very applicable to sa clothes para sakin haha I usually think din kung masusuot ko ba yun for the next 2 years or baka hindi ko masulit. Nililista ko usually and it takes me weeks before I finally click check out. I manage to talk myself out of buying cute things most of the time and tbh, I feel great pag after a month makikita ko yung mga di ko binili tas marerealize ko na I don't want them anymore or di ko naman talaga kailangan 😊❤

Delayed gratification always works for me. If I really want something so bad, I will wait for a month or two before the purchase. I also make sure to also work hard for it. 💛

Madalas kasing nangyayari sa akin na naiibili ko ng wants ko yung savings ko. Dapat pala inaalocate sa budget yung bagay na gustong gusto kong bilhin para hindi ko magalaw yung savings ko. Nalinawan na rin po ako kung anong ibig sabin ng " Dalayed gratification". Salamat po ulit.

For my wants and big purchases, delayed gratification talaga. I add the item to my cart, observe movement of the prices, record at least 3 sale prices of the item, and pag sale season, check the item. If the price corresponds to the lowest price I recorded or even cheaper, I buy the item. If not (since minsan bogus ang sale ng ibang brands), I wait until the price drops again to the lowest price I had recorded. Grabe ang fulfillment after and no space for buyer’s remorse!

panu kung limited run lang ung item tapos mabilis ma sold out like collectible toys or clothes. panu po maiprapractice ung delayed gratification sa mga ganung wants. huhuhu if sa tao na bibilin kasi mas mahal na siya.
How about setting up a sinking fund for those collectibles? Setting aside an amount every month/payday for that specific want and then getting from that fund when you see something you want. This is just a suggestion based on my research and experience 😊
If it’s something na talagang you cannot do without buying, put it in your budget. Usually naman yung mga release is scheduled right? So alam mo kelan lalabas, pwede mong schedule sa budget mo for that month ng release or magtabi ka na in advance.

Wish list ko ng wants ko dati nasa notebook ko pa sinusulat then nilagay ko sa notes sa phone ko na. Bibisitahin ko once in a while tapos evaluate ko kung gusto ko pa din, kapag hindi na ekis na sa list. Then, kapag gusto ko pa din at may budget na para doon, evaluate ko ulit kung sulit ba siyang bilhin.

But the problem with shopback is you can't used it together with the in-app promos/vouchers, i think. The purchase will still push through but it will be rejected afterwards. Correct me if I'm wrong. I always use it with Shopee before.

Ginamit ko yung Shopback App nung bumili ako sa Lazada ng Iphone 12 Pro pero ni-reject nila ung cashback ko kahit nasa click activity ko yung link ni Lazada and wala nman akong ibang pinipindot aside sa Shopback.
